Maybe a week.
That was about how long he'd been back in Jump City, staying in a hotel that was kind enough not to give him a funny look the second night he'd come back with a bloody lip and somewhat of a black eye. Of course, that could easily be a testament to the hotel's prestige itself, but. It had a roof and there was a shower, which is more than he had the first time he'd stumbled into Jump. He wasn't complaining.
Much.
Now, though, the black eye was gone and his lip was healed up enough that the silver studs were back in place and less swollen. Hero-ing was a lot tougher than he remembered, but that could've been because the triumphs in his memory involved an entire team and back up and training. Trying to rough it on the streets while waiting for a brilliant idea on how to re-announce his arrival in the City, trying to take out the bad guys with as much practice as he currently had.... Just wasn't gonna cut it.
He needed the Titans.
Thus, his priorities slid from trying to avenge the innocent! to trying to find the Titans and helping them avenge the innocent. One step at a time.
Which is how he found himself on the street corner, waiting for the little white man on the sign to tell him he wouldn't get flattened if he tried to cross the street. His hands were in his pockets, his black jacket hung open over a pale grey shirt sporting a hibiscus on the upper right, and his jeans.... Had seen better, less frayed days.
But he wasn't dressed to impress. He was dressed to eat pizza.
If there was one thing he'd learned while with the Titans last year, it was pizza. Pizza was life. Pizza was the soul.
He was bound to run into a Titan at a pizza place.
At least it was the first place he'd try on his list....
