PERSONALITY
Despite her genius level intellect Caitlin is something of a hot headed woman. Her own anger has gotten her into plenty of trouble over the years. After getting through the majority of puberty her fuse has begun to lengthen for the first time in a few years. Yet still if someone makes fun of her deceased parents she will fly off the handle faster than anything else.
Before she gained her powers she was starting to come out of her shell while she was out at Central City University. During this time she showed a willingness to at least try things out once or twice. This is how she gained her now signature hairstyle. Yet after the accident she has become more cold to strangers and to new acquaintances. To those that communicate with her online or impersonally she allows the true side of herself to show.
When fighting she does not toy with her opponents. When she is fighting someone that is equal to herself she will try and do whatever she could do to turn the battle in her favor and end it. Against those weaker than her she will try and crush them and toss them aside as quick as possible. When faced with someone that shows they can think faster, are stronger, or can outfight her she will begin to formulate plans in order to escape from her opponent. Using the intellect she used to devote to science to getting herself to safety.

Cryokinesis: After the accident that granted her the powers over ice she can create and manipulate ice inside of its many varied forms. Creating thin sheets of ice to protect herself from harm or using the ice to stop people from escaping her interrogations. She can also use the powers to stop and freeze people whole down to nearly the cellular level.
Thermal Vampirism: This is something of a double edged sword for Catlin as this power is both good and bad for her. This power means that she is capable of taking the thermal energy from within a person of object. If it is used upon a person it can drain the person unto death. This vampirism is a need though for her now. She must feed at minimum once a week unless she uses her Cryokinesis extensively. In those instances she would need to recharge more often. Also if she is to overcharge her Thermal Vampirism she has to release the energy otherwise she can injure herself as the energy become erratic.
To her victims she would literally be drawing out the very heat from within their cells. Slowly they would feel as if their very core was freezing solid. The skin on the person would begin to ashen and over time would begin to fall off in small clumps. If contact is extended beyond the point of the skin’s ashen state the person would begin to grow drowsy and would fall catatonic after a short period of time. Those wearing thermal clothing or without bare skin for her to make contact with her hands can avoid this effect and Killer Frost can pull her hand away as this power is voluntary for Caitlin unless she is near death from the effects taking its toll on her body.

HISTORY
Born inside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on a cold December day. Caitlin had simple hard working parents. They doted upon their child with most of the their earned wages. As she aged her genius level intellect emerged and she began to go through school at a much faster rate than others. Skipping over grades became common occurrence for Caitlin. To the point where she was a graduate of high school at the age of fifteen. Being accepted to one of the more prestigious colleges with direct links to STAR Labs inside of Central City.
Going there she began her studies into perpetual motion and other ways of generating power. Continuing through college she would work hard and graduate at the age of eighteen and through the schools great connections with STAR Labs she was able to gain an internship with the famous labs Energy research division.
Heading out to the Antarctic Research division for STAR Labs for Energy. There she began to do research underneath the team of three other scientists that were assigned there due to their own studies. They all began work on a machine that had in theory began to have a way around the law of thermodynamics to create a perpetual motion energy source. Yet something nibbled at the back of Caitlin's mind. This fear that nibbled at the back of her mind was quickly founded as she awoke one day to find the others packing all of the research notes and they turned against Caitlin.
Ducking and weaving between the three other scientists she dove and hid within the machine as they had begun to warm it up. Sliding within the machine she began to grab and pull on wires and anything she could get her hands upon. Inside the machine it began to destabilize and would explode covering Caitlin within the specially designed coolant that the machine had been using to keep from going critical. The resulting explosion however coated her injured body with waves that bonded the coolant and activated the latent Meta Genes within her body.
Awakening a few hours later she realized something had changed as she felt cold to the very core. Looking at herself as she emerged from within the rubble and found out that one of the scientists had survived rather unscathed from the explosion. Walking up to the man she felt a need arise within herself. A need to feed upon the warmth of his body. Reaching forward she placed a hand upon the man's neck and he nearly jumped out of his skin as his body began to lose all color as if being drained of blood. His entire body after she pulled back looked like he had been lying there dead and had been exposed to the air that had begun to fill the now open aired laboratory for months.
Rifling through his belongings she found a single thing that began her quest against the H.I.V.E. She found a simple memo from a superior to destroy the lab and kill the other woman. The directive was labelled from the leader of the cell within Jump City. With a glaring cold stare she kicked the man's body and began to walk without any sort of difficulty despite the cold air of Antarctica til she managed to find a helicopter which she stole and headed toward the mainland. From there she went to Jump City to begin searching for the one that ordered her death.
