Fire against Fire. Last time he'd fought that way was against the Titans and it had unfortunately cost him his life. The eyes on his mask narrowed, echoing his own as her claws extended. His own wrist blades manifesting once more, this time however they would be mainly for a defense. It would be the only way to survive what was coming and he knew it. Right now though, he was going to need to do something that he would entirely regret. His body would hate him for the next few days and he might end up dying tonight if it was overdone. Taking a single deep breath, he stood at the ready and then she vanished.
It wasn't over, not by a long shot. The proof was right before his eyes a second later. Right now, he didn't need to think, he just let his body move on instinct. It would pull him closer to death with every blocked hit or dodged strike, but right now he needed to prove he wasn't just your average wannabe thief. He was Red X. He was Grant Wilson. He had defied death once before and it was something he didn't want to add to his routine. Their movements were a blur of greeted by sharp clangs of metal from the claws colliding with his wrist blades.
Adrenaline was surging through his body, knowing just how close to death he was whether it be at the hands of this woman or by his own hand from overusing his power. The flurry of their movements was becoming a pattern, one that he was slowly picking up on. Though it was risky, there was a chance he could hit her. But there was a downside to his thought. There was a ninety nine percent chance of her hitting him in the process. It was a chance he would have to take, even if only to slow her down.
His movements slowly fell out of sync with hers, as if he was gradually losing energy and at the same time the X's on his palms began to glow. It was all or nothing just so that he could breath. If he was hit then so be it but now was his chance. He aimed the glowing X's at her and fired. It was an adhesive strong enough to hinder Beast Boy and should do the trick if it actually managed to hit her. He shook his head slightly, his vision a tad blurred, his heart beating far faster than it should even occasionally skipping a beat. Seems his limit was closer than he realized.
