Not Quite a Hog

Slobo was hard at work on the Slobike. There were two main things wrong with it. First was the name, that really gave the wrong impression. Second was that it was horribly unsafe for passengers. Sure, Slobo himself and other ultra-tough supers could handle it fine, but most people he had to keep to low speeds and altitudes. Open vehicles weren't usually used for supersonic flight and exiting or re-entering the atmosphere.
The Top Teen sat out in the junkyard, his sick hog sitting nearby. He sat on a bench, notebook in hand, sketching a few ideas. It would have to be some sort of force-field containing an air bubble. Anything involving getting air from the world around it didn't work for a number of reasons. Besides, if he wanted to show Kimber space, he'd have to have an air supply. It had to be visible, too. Something obvious so he'd no for sure whether it was on or off. He just had to figure out a good way to replenish the oxygen. Maybe some sort of mini-portal?
That he could figure out later. First step was getting the field generator up and running. It took about an hour to scrounge up the parts. Slobo sat among the wreckage of cell phones, toasters, TVs, remote control cars, and other assorted electronics. This should be enough for him to work. He snapped his fingers, and his toolbox floated over to him. Not really a necessary upgrade, but it came in handy sometimes. It was way too easy to lose things in a junkyard. Slobo cracked his knuckles and got down to work.
