What We’re About
The Teen Titans Go Guild started off as a group of TT roleplayers from neopets, and through a genius decision, our admin Aly made a proboards site. Since then, it has grown and the use of ‘guild’ or the affectionate title of ‘guildie’ for our members is in memory of our humble beginnings. That was how we started, but now we’ve grown and have created a very active community with many exciting characters, threads and plots that make up the site.
We're a sandbox based on the classic Teen Titans show. The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower. More information on major and minor plots currently on the site are available under the plot page section of the boards, and we invite you to browse through them.
We are OC and young DC hero friendly, though we do have a canon list located in the navigation on available characters canon to the Go! comics and the tv show. This does not follow the current 2013 version of Teen Titans, though we do get inspired by some elements and allow incorporation, so long as it honours the original show.
“Robin is my favourite male character in Teen Titans and yet somehow manages to infuriates me in the new show. Let us stay away from that.”—Elena, as she burns over Driver’s Ed and Relax
What's a sandbox?
A sandbox RP is basically one where the players are free to do whatever they want within the rules and setting of the game. There's no great overarching quest to follow. No greater manipulation by the administrators. The game is what you make it.
You've probably heard of sandbox style video games which allow you to do almost anything within the game's genre. Grand Theft Auto is a good example. Much like in that game, in our RP, you're allowed to have your character freely move about our world.
Have fun and start exploring!
About ROLEPLAY
Everybody knows about Jump City. Stories of the heroic teenagers who live in a giant letter-shaped tower and keep their city safe while snapping instagram photos and eating pizza are spread worldwide. For some people this is inspiring: they want to join them, or be like the Titans. For others it's infuriating. Others don't care one way or another.
Jump is a booming city with lots of opportunities. As a major port city, it's always bustling with life and commerce. Plenty of ways to make money both good and bad. It also has something of a monster problem. The Police Commissioner and the Titans have a sort of agreement going: the JCPD allow the vigilantes to deal with the villains that slip through the cracks, as well as the monsters.
