It had been just one of her normal mornings, watching the sun rise at the beach when Maggie had discovered the boardwalk. She had gone for a walk on the beach, deep in thought, when eventually she had came across it. At first Maggie had felt a little bit silly, not knowing that Jump City had a boardwalk, but after a while she felt determined to enjoy the boardwalk and everything about it.
Which is why, a few hours later when she had her homework done and had changed into something more amusement park-y, Maggie had returned. She wasn't in her usual attire of a cute dress, instead wearing a cute floral cami and basic denim shorts, along with simple, pastel yellow converses. Her brown hair was in loose waves, though she had a hair tie around her wrist just incase she needed to put it up after riding a rollercoaster. And while she arrived alone and expected to only be there for half an hour, Maggie had been "picked up" by a group of older students of the Academy and had tagged along with them.
And it was fun, hanging out with some other students and riding rollercoasters and rides with them. Especially since, for what felt like the first time since she had moved here, Maggie was among normal people. Not one of them had super strength (though the few football players in the group where rather strong), or could shapeshift or fly or any of that stuff. Nor did any of them seem like the type to be even non-powered heroes like Robin or Batgirl or Speedy.
And Maggie loved that, loving how normal these people where.
Unfortuantly for Maggie, her southern charm wasn't much appreciated by some of the members of the group. Maggie was a bit oblivous towards the glares, looks, and the rolling of eyes, but it was clear to anyone watching that there was a storm in the making, threatening to hit.
