Well, at least robots had an idea of doctor/patient confidentiality. That could come in handy. "Good thing then. There's people trying to wipe out things like me, so even mentioning I exist could put me in danger." Gaunt usually preferred to seem tough and mysterious, but work with what you got. This was a protective robot doctor, so he'd play into her protective, doctory programming. His ego could take the hit to protect his secrecy. It had before.
He'd given up on personal space by now. He didn't even feel like explaining it to her. If she wanted to stand six inches from the end of his beak, then she could. See if he cared. Eventually she gave him a little room, announcing she'd detected sarcasm. Gaunt wasn't sure which of his statements she was talking about it, so he just made like a snow queen and let it go. Sometimes it didn't pay to make sense of the supers.
"Because Elsa's a queen." Gaunt had decided long ago, that when dealing with lunatics, children, or other similar things, a short, nonsensical answer was better than a detailed, sensible one. That one saved time, and might get them off his case better than a serious one. And mental note, that H.R. Giger thing sticking out the back of her head was apparently hair. He hadn't considered that before.
Gaunt was about to excuse himself when her question caught him off-guard. The vampire's mouth hung open for a second, his cigarette falling to the pavement. "What? No! Why would- are you high?" He couldn't figure out which answer to go for, so he just chose all of them. Maybe the robot had a virus, that would explain a lot of what was going on.
