"Really? Toni Spark? Is that the best you could come up with?" Elodie questioned, raising an eyebrow though it was impossible to see due to her mask. That was one of the problems with wearing a mask that covered the top portion of your face. You missed most of her expressions, the ones that spoke volumes without her uttering a single sound. Mostly you could see perhaps a slight flaring of the nose and then of course her mouth. Smirking, smiling, pouting, pressed together in a thin line due to anger. You know, the typical things.
Good thing she still had body language on her side, oozing annoyance in her stance as Speedy went on about his punching glove arrows. "Oh yeah, real family friendly. Until the bruises show up, of course." Elodie pointed out. Sure, that was something that will happen when this life drags you down into it, but that didn't mean that it hurt less.
And then came the headbutt.
And unfortunately for her, Speedys reflexes were fast. Stupid Speedy! You and your quick reflexes! Bet you thought I would go for a pun but nope! Elodie thought, glad that at least he was faltering to get stable steps. She then glanced at Ian, who gave out an indignant hey and stepped towards her. "You may not be at the same level of stupid he is, but take one more step and you're gonna be there." Elodie warned, looking him up and down then back at Speedy. "Let me guess, hes one of yours? " Elodie asked, both eyebrows raising when she heard that the other guys name was Deimos. And that they were going to try and take her to the Big House.
Ha, like that will ever happen.
"I'm sorry, but how many times has it been that the Titans had tried to capture me? And how many times has it worked?" Elodie questioned, with a side item of sass as the electrical arcs did their work. Elodie smirked as she heard a metallic cling, her wrist free from those horrid handcuffs. She rubbed her wrists, knowing that she'll have to deal with whatever injuries she may of gotten from electrocuting the handcuffs later.
And thats when she made a break for it, running to get out of there. Until, that is, a voice called her back. And reminded her that she was, in fact, forgetting something. The spear! Elodie thought, twirling around to face Deimos.
And Oh. My. God.
He was twirling the spear like a baton.
He was twirling the Spear of Destiny like a blood baton!
"Put the spear down, now!" Elodie ordered, moving back towards them, but slowly. Slow and alert. I need that spear. Wait, rephrase that: I need the spear tip. Thats all I need. Elodie thought, eyes flicking from Ian and Speedy to the Spire tip. "Says the guy whos most likely a titan or titan wannabe who can't even put up a fight. No thats underwhelming." Elodie said, twitching whenever the tip of the lance got too close to the ground for comfort. "Put the spear down or else I swear I will send an electric current through your brain strong enough to make you lose bowel control. Now put it down!" Elodie ordered, little arcs of electricity shooting from one hand to another as she moved closer to them again.
"At least give the lance tip some respect. If my research is right, which it usually is 95% of the time, that right there is the spear tip that pierced Jesus. So seriously, put it down before you break it." She said, glaring at the two of them. "Seriously, who the hell treats a historical object like a baton? You're only proving how idiotic the Titans are."
