Sleep is for the weak [Penumbra/OPEN]

Cyborg felt sorry for the guy, and shot Batgirl a reprimanding look--whether she saw it or not didn't matter because he was helping get Penumbra on the stretcher. Well, the girl was beating herself up as was, so that was probably as bad as she'd get from Cyborg. As they got him up and on wheels, Cy looked down at him and said, "I guess you're getting that bionic limb after all."

It was a joke. Though, he's never really made a weapon out of a kneecap before--

Bad Cyborg. They'd just have to see how bad an injury she dealt. 

They brought him to the infirmary, a well-stocked place that looked like a hospital room, except more spacious, more dark, and could easily be converted into a torture room with very little effort on their part. Even the bed had straps, stilled drilled in from those dark days in the past that apparently he liked to dwell in. Cyborg, being the big strong man of the group, picked up Penumbra like he was a wincing bride, and set him down on the medical table with ease. 

"Alright, let's roll this up and take a look..." he just met the guy, and he'd already carried him to bed and now was gently rolling up his pantleg. It was good this scenario was serious or he'd be poked fun at--or more like, thankfully Beast Boy wasn't around.

He kind of missed that green bean. "Ooh, yeah. That looks dislocated alright."

“Calm down Batgirl, it's fine.” Penumbra put a hand on her shoulder before the other two arrived. It wasn't as bad as everyone was making it out to be, in fact he'd almost done the same thing to his knee when he was practicing parkour. He'd added leather reinforcements to his pants, but never thought that a kneepad that stabilized his knee cap would have been necessary...until tonight. He sighed and gently pressed around it gauging how swollen his knee was; thankfully it wasn't bad, yet. Tilting his head to the side before whispering to Batgirl he mumbled, “It's okay, you're a friend and accidents happen Barb.”

By the time Robin came over Penumbra was in a shocked, endorphin filled daze with his guard down, “I'm not crippled, yet.” While everyone was panicked or embarrassed by the situation Penumbra managed to keep his cool. So he may not walk again if it's broken severely, that just means he has an additional personal enemy to conquer. Truth be told he was more afraid of his grandfather finding out than the panic associated with his injury. Before getting put on the stretcher he added in Robin's general direction, “A little here and there.” he hoped Robin could understand honesty.

The infirmary wasn't as bad as a back alley medical ward for a criminal doctor, but it was a little foreboding to say the least. The darkness wasn't the issue, the straps on the bed however... he had no intent of getting strapped into the bed for any good or bad reasons.

Either way the news of dislocation was welcomed over being told his leg was definitely broken. Looking at Cyborg's metal parts Penumbra decided he did not want a laser kneecap and instead began to piece together his pained reply, “If it's just dislocated, set it and give me a knee brace. What you add to it I'll leave to your discretion.”

“I would love to have a noise canceling knee brace, but first don't conventional MRIs take a while?” Oh today was turning out to be fun.


OOC: If this needs to be in the infirmary area we can separate posts as a new topic and put it there, right? I don't think it'll be a problem here.
