Starfire was flying over to the location Elodie had been spotted in. It was farther away from the others, so she could risk being spotted before the ambush. It was imperative for the mission that she did not destroy any of the control grid. They needed to contain the theifs, and without the lock-down feature that could prove quite difficult. She stayed close to the ceiling, using the shadows and refraining from lighting up in hopes to sneak up on her. Except, it seems that Penumbra's laugh scared her, and she wasn't in any clear sight. Starfire searched for her from above.
Meanwhile, Cyborg was watching as Penumbra shifted out of position and shifted into the guise of somebody who looked like a generic jewel thief. 'What is he doing?' Cyborg thought to himself with his one brow furrowing in confusion. That wasn't part of the plan, and that made him nervous. He couldn't just stick with the evil laughter, could he? He had to get in character too, and complicate things. Well, the die was tossed and now he'd have to roll with it.
"Kitty, show him your claws, and keep his off the jewel." He'd hoped to see someone else try for it, but maybe if two 'villains' were engaged another could see it as an opportunity to snatch it up.
"You're joking. You're absolutely joking right now. Penumbra just pulled a Leroy Jenkins on us. STICK TO THE PLAN LEROY!" Steph screamed in her mind as she watched the fool try to pretend to be a 2nd decoy. No one's going to buy it if there's two decoys!... Or maybe he can play the obvious decoy. As she debated what to do, a message came in from Cyborg, commanding her to take him down. "Gladly," she silently responded, pulling her super cool yellow goggles on over her eyes. She let out a fearsome kitty hiss at Penumbra, and leaped from her perch on all fours.
As she landed down, she winced a little under her mask, not expecting how much pain she'd feel spike through her arms from a four-legged landing. She shook it off though, and hurtled towards Penumbra, determined to beat the crap out of him. "I suggest you lay off the jewel little mouse, MeeeeOW!" She had all permission to do so, and honestly kind of wanted to. No one Jenkins Stephanie Brown. She had to make it look authentic though. If she just threw him on the ground and clawed his face, people would realize something's up. She also couldn't quite grab the jewel yet, or else no one may pop out to claim it.
In a quick split second, she formulated her plan. Like an Olympic hurtler, she dodged the laser sensors she had memorized earlier this week, and landed just beside Penumbra on her palms. From there, she crooked her back and aimed to buck kick Penumbra right in the face, hopefully sending him flying into the wall across the way where there weren't any laser sensors. Should that succeed, she'd pop out her little blackberry device which held the activation key to make it appear like the security was being shut down and just fiddle with it for a second like she was hacking, that'd get them sweating in their boots.
If the criminals that came out of Gotham had one thing in common, it was them staying in character or them sticking to their psychoses, whichever it may be. Gee, wonder who would make that noise, some sort of cat burglar? The amusement was lot on Wykkyd as he began to float to the entryway of the room to watch things for a moment. Sure enough there was the Gothamite, and someone else he didn't recognize. They seemed rather focused on each other with combat beginning.
Not one to let an opportunity slip by when it knocked, Wykkyd was ready to capitalize on the pair's moment of attention, and lack there of. If they didn't think someone was watching and waiting to slip by while they were occupied with each other, then this should be a walk in the park. The silent thief brought his cape up and pressed it to the wall as he hovered upside down peeking into the room. Red eyes stared intently on the diamond in it's case as he concentrated on it. An inky black void appeared on his cape where his hand was, and a corresponding one appeared on the pedestal the diamond was on, inside the case. A gloved hand popped through the portal to grab the diamond and pull it out of it's enclosure. No doubt an alarm would sound, but that wasn't much of a problem. He'd have gotten what he came here for, and there's be two other thieves in the middle of the room to be blamed by the authorities.

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
