Sarah was about to leave, after all she had made the woman suffer enough.... the power to hurt... that was was her fate, just like with the officer a few days ago, that was over food to, and she had no idea how she made him suffer... it was the same thing all over but instead of a chase she got..... she got....
But her hand was grabbed, held firmly in the other woman's, what......? Weapons deserved solitude didn't they? But still.... that warm feeling welled up in her again with the contact... it felt nice.... right.... but... why? The feeling was something different..... could her books help her explain it?
Her words.... she claimed that the pain wasn't Sarah's fault..... was that possible? It couldn't be the alien's fault..... her purpose couldn't possibly be to cause herself pain could it? But Sarah remained silent, if only because of the warm feeling there hands gave her, Sarah maintained her silence until the other woman posed a question to her, one her belly refused to allow her to ignore.
"H...hungry? I... I suppose I am.... w.... why?"
Sarah was confused.... hadn't she been told not to ask for her food?

Irkalla had her set of rules. She had her beliefs, and the things she learned as she grew up. The things she was taught, by her father, by others, by life. She knew her objective in Earth, and she was fully aware of the planet and it's inhabitants' final fate. Her father had been very clear on that, and he also taught her the dangers of pity, compassion and mercy.
Yet she couldn't simply let a girl go hungry. Unecessary suffering was terrible, and she could help it without barely any work on her part. She could think about ethics, lack of compassion and the evil overlord list later, but for now she was simply going to help the girl. Of course, she wouldn't make it too obvious.
"I am... learning about Earth food, among other things. However, I don't know where to go, so I want you to point me to the best... food place you can think of, whatever they're called. As a reward, I'll pay you a meal. You humans barely eat anyway."
All things considered, it was a win-win situation. Not only was she helping the girl, she was also helping herself by finding out about more tasty food... because when all her life was spent getting her nutrition from tasteless pills, every single food she ate on earth tasted like a gift from heaven. Of course, anyone that might be passing by could get a really strange message from the duo, seeing that Irkalla was still holding the girl's hand, and with the other arm she carried the remaining bag of donuts, while many other bags and sweets were scattered around the pair. Still, her gaze was still focused on the girl. As long as her mind didn't go into the awkward territory, it would be ok.
It was Sarah's turn to blush, she could feel it, embarsement? No.... there was nothing here for her to be emberssed about... her own body confused her in the moment, what was the connection? Was it the offer of food that made her feel this way? Or the warm feeling in her chest...? This was all so confusing....
Mana maintained her hold in the other woman's hand, it felt... nice, sure the feeling was hard to understand but... the warm feeling felt it good... so it was Ok right?
Sarah went I to deep thought then, it was up to her to show this wonderful person a great place to eat.... it was up to her... but she hadn't been in jump city long, what if she failed? No... she couldn't think like that! She just had to pick a nice looking place.... and HOPE they had a buffet, for both there sakes. It took some thinking, but she finally settled on a location, her finger pointing towards a locslation called 'Lucky bens', a steakhouse.
"I.... I had a burger from there once.... it was amazing.... a...assuming you don't mind meat I mean!"
She was rather flustered, hoping she would like it... she didn't wanna lose her first friend... right?
"Oh... b...by the way... my names Sarah... Vyers...
She finished holding the others hand firmly her gaze fixed upon viewing her reaction to Sarah's choice.
The girl blushed. Now, that could mean many things... well, mainly one thing, but Irkalla didn't quite know how humans worked, so it could be many things for her. That, and she'd never seen anyone blushing before. Or blushed, for all it's worth, but it's not like she could notice her own blushing. The girl seemed deep in thought, despite all the blushing. Quite frankly, Irkalla could understand her. She hadn't eaten almost anything in Earth, and it was already incredibly hard to pick a definite best. If she had to choose... she'd go with filled donuts, yeah. They were great.
Her thought process was interrupted by the girl's words. She had picked a place... that was incredibly nearby. And she also had a name.
"Sarah Vyers, right. I'm Irkalla. And... meat is good! Meat is pretty good. I like meat."
Admittedly, she hadn't eaten too much meat ever since she had arrived. She didn't even know for sure what food counted as meat and what didn't, but she wasn't about to admit that. Either way, she'd eat pretty much anything, so she probably wouldn't have a problem with meat. Probably. She entered the place, and the duo was quickly greeted by a well-dressed waiter.
"Table for two?"
The alien girl nodded silently, and the two were shown to their table near a corner of the restaurant. If the girl hadn't let her hand go yet, that's when Irkalla would, because... well, they needed to sit. And as soon as they did, the waiter handed them two menus, walking away. The place was pretty empty, probably because it was the middle of the afternoon, not exactly lunch or dinner time. And as both of them would find out, the place was also pretty expensive. Not that Irkalla minded, of course. She had the money, and the high numbers meant nothing to her. She studied the menu for a short while before shooting Sarah a question.
There she sat, in a restaurant and across from this woman, a menu seperating her face from Irka's she eyed the menu closely she... could order anything? W...wow... just the thought made her nearly yelp in joy, a real meal... it was such a wonderful thing.
She was glad to be of help to Irkalla, who had already, in Mana's eyes helped her far more, even as she apprantly was helping irka. As the waiter came back around Sarah called her order put, a meal unlike any she had before....
"Prime rib medium rare, triple bacon cheeseburger... ummm.. a plate of fries... oh and a coke! Thanks!
Sarah finished up with a chirp of joy hand holding or no hand holding Sarah wanted to know that warm feeling in her chest what was it? Was it good, or bad? It didn't feel bad but.... a lot of bad things usually felt good at first, that was a fact
In an attempt to distract herself from her thoughts she looked back at her companion, smiling.
The girl asked for... food. Irkalla didn't really know whether that was a lot of food for a human or too little, or a regular amount. Then again, she didn't care. The girl could eat as much as she wanted, it wouldn't even come close to...
"...I'll take two of everything she said, plus... one of everything in this page."
She told the waiter, showing him a page full of sandwiches in the menu. The man seemed surprised, but shrugged it off and noted down the order. Living in Jump meant you got to see a lot of weird, and working with people, he probably was used to it by then. He walked away, heading to the kitchen to pass on the order... leaving the two girls in the table to continue whatever conversation they were having.
Which left them in a bit of an awkward silence. Irkalla didn't exactly know what she could say, and all things considered, she didn't really want to start a conversation. It probably would be better to just think she was doing a good deed to this girl that happened to be hungry and that she would never meet again. Little did she know. Besides, she had to maintain a serious, respectable facade... and she did just that, sitting there quietly, looking at the girl, calm and collected... Though internally, she was fidgeting like crazy.
"Should I say something... or not... maybe... ask more about food? I don't know..."
Mana was amazed at the sheer amount of food Irka ordered, was she even hungrier than Sarah? It was possible she supposed, perhaps she simply hadn't eaten in a while?
Their was this awkward silence between the two after the waiter left, their were thoughts racing through Sarah's head of course.... so many things she could say... but she didn't want to say something wrong, to cause another painful situation for the kind girl.
But they simply stood their looking across from each other, was that not bad in away as well? It was so boring.... their had to be something, ANYTHING she could say to break the weak silence.....
"P...powers"
She blurted out, that had to be ok right? A simple discussion of the two woman's skills, their couldn't be painful things their right?
"Ya know... skills.... I.... can make explosive flares you know..."
She muttered the words out rather nervously, still afraid the words could somehow hurt the woman, she was kind to her.... a friend.
The silence was awkward, but all things considered, it was probably better than saying the wrong thing. Or was it? Irkalla was alone in this world for a while, how was she to learn if not by making a mistake here and there? But then again, could she afford to make a mistake? Even more, could she afford to learn? Sure, she'd probably need allies if she were to pursue her objective, but... was this the right way? Her train of thought was interrupted as the other girl suddenly said something she didn't understand. She straightened her posture, focusing on the girl's words. Powers... flares. Explosive flares. A small smile lit up on Irkalla's face as the girl finished, chuckling.
"That is... impressive. Yes, that is very impressive!" She said, in a slightly more cheerful tone than before. "You mean, you devle... devil... devol... build them, or just... create them?" She fumbled with the words. They had reached an interesting conversation topic, and one Irkalla was familiar with... physical prowess. Well, sort of. It could easily go that way, especially with Irkalla's skills. She waited for the girl to finish explaining her part before continuing.
"Great! I can... well, I can fight. I am... stronger, faster, and overall better than every human I have crossed until now." She stopped for a while befor continuing. "I am, however, still looking for strong foes to fight. I... I really like fighting. It is... a way to let loose, I think. It is great." Again, she stopped, thinking about what she had just said. Was there anything else she enjoyed? More than that, with all her lifetime, was there anything she even knew how to do? She decided not to think too much about that. "So... what about you? What do you like to do?"
The redhead's face brightned when she heard the praise from from her new friend, her powers.... were impressive.... wow. The compliment made her feel warm Inside-happy! Her gaze turned downward for a brief moment as she tried contemplate why that was, her parents used to speak of what they created all the time but she never got this happy from that.... was it different somehow?
"I create them.... in my palm.... when I throw boom!
She said with a chuckle, glad of the opportunity to speak of the ins and outs of her power.
"It's no good under water though!"
After she finished her rambling she listened closely to her friends words, it made sense she supposed their were like several factors that could make other races superior to humans, honestly it made her want to study any sort of evolutionary track they may have.... that could wait but... it was defently something she wanted to ask at some point. She also liked to fight..... Sarah rather disliked combat herself, hut she could see where someone would find an appeal towards it, as irka stated it was a way to let loose one could relase aggression stress anything.... she supposed it was also a rather simple way to test ones physical limits, depending on the opponents skill compared to your own. Looking up from her thoughts she thought a minute on her questions, their wasn't a whole lot of variety in the things she liked to do.
"Me...? I like to study and read up on new things, I love more than anything to find things I didn't know before"
She finished, her belly rumbled a bit.... she hoped they wouldn't be much longer.

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
