Cyborg was given an iPad with the menu. This was an all-you-can-eat place, and they ordered by pressing the picture of the item they wanted, and then putting in the quantity. It may help Lumini determine if she could eat something if she could appraise the picture and the caption of the ingredients under each. Electronics; making even eating an enhanced experience. Speaking of which, she was asking him a related question. It made sense that there'd be some confusion.
"It's to sustain the organic, while the mechanical requires being charged by an electric power-source. I run on a battery that is charged overnight." That was the short and easy explanation, and while he could talk about food and nutrition for longer... he'd much rather be eating it. He showed her how the pad worked, swiping the screen and showing her how to order. He keyed in ten salmon nigiri (raw salmon slices on top of sushi rice) for himself and for her to try. He got the same number of the salmon sashimi, which was the raw slices without the rice.
There was a variety of stuff aside from sushi too. The soup was probably out of the question for her, but there were taro chips, a potato like vegetable, which were probably along her avenue and less greasy than regular chips. He handed it to her to let her pick for herself, and have that experience. He was confident that if she couldn't handle it, he could finish it off.
There were somethings that he wanted to know about her. "So... Lumini, what brings you to this planet, and Jump City? Do you have a place to stay?" he asked. Jump was a pretty liberal place about the strange and bizarre, so he could imagine that there was a landlord out there somewhere willing to rent out a place for her, but how was she getting the cash? He was really curious to know. Then, deciding it was a good idea, he pulled out a spare communicator and placed it on the table.
"We offer unique people who are willing to serve the city affiliation and accommodation--that is, they become junior Titans, and get a room and money for food. It also means I can bring you into the T-Tower on occasion and I can show you how our tech works. If it's not any inconvenience to your plans, I'd like to offer you this communicator."
He smiled at her. "You caught my interest, and I'd like to have a way to call you."
