Wargirl was definitely growing tired of fighting petty gangs. "Well, " she thought, "it's a little fun, but there's no challenge." So when she heard reports of a superpowered bank robber making off with an armful of gold bullion in her area, she jumped into action! Her powers of teleportation came in handy when for quickly traversing the city, with each step she made taking her to another rooftop. It wasn't long before she heard the sounds of police sirens,

She saw the villain down below. The first thing she noticed was his size, probably standing at around 7 feet tall and built like a rock. He was running away from police cars on foot, and each step he made left a small crater in the road. Clearly he had some super strength thing going on. The next thing she noticed was his garb. Dressed exactly like a stereotypical leprechaun. Suddenly the gold bullion made even more sense. Maybe if she caught him, she'd get some recognition by the Titans East? Maybe even find herself a spot in their team! It took a fair amount of maneuvering, but eventually Wargirl got herself ahead of this supervillain. "Halt, evildoer!" How hammy. Note to self, come up with some better lines. She jumped from the rooftop, but the impact from the ground was just a little too rough, and she fell over on her butt. Well crud.

The huge Irishman turned towards Wargirl and laughed. He shouted in an Irish accent "do yu know who ah am? Ahm the Leprekhan, ye wee git!" before hurling a parked car towards her.  Wargirl leaped to the side unharmed, but in that moment realized she'd actually banged up her knee pretty bad! It wouldn't take very long to regenerate, but in a fight even a few seconds could make all the difference! She'd have to put her injury to the side until some other superheroes arrived. The police managed to catch up to the fight now, but now that there's a superhero on the scene, they've all become complacent and useless. There's no way she could close the distance now, so from her crouching position she shouts "eat this!" and pulls out from nowhere four large machine guns, and unloads an entire round of rubber bullets at the Leprekhan. It slowed him down, barely, but now she made him mad... "Today's not yer lucky day, lassie!"

The concept of getting into a giant metal contraption and sitting in it while it transported you to a far away land was not easy to wrap Vincent's mind around. He barely understood how motor vehicles worked since his previous knowledge only held that of a carriage. This airplane was more than he had bargained for. The initial take off had been a queasy experience, but everything else was forgotten as he realized they were up in the air. And there was no magic involved! It was more of this science everyone had been teaching him as of late. Little of it had stuck in his mind, so Vincent did not even bother trying to learn any of it. Although he did startle the stewardess a couple of times by teleporting onto the wing of the plane then back into his seat. No other passenger had every done to her before. It was a miracle Vincent did earn himself a ban from that air line after landing.

Steel City was not what Vincent had been expecting from the name of the place. Normally places were named after something around them, but this Steel City had a similar appearance to that of Jump City. Tall buildings everywhere and lots of crowds. At least he did not have to deal with baggage claims since he had not packed anything. There was really no point in doing so given his nifty tricks at his disposal. And while Vincent had flown here, there would be no need to do so anymore. The only reason he had flown here anyways was his magic had not allowed him to teleport him on a mere thought. Apparently he could not travel such large distances without a distinct location in mind. He would have to keep that in mind for next time.

And what was the first thing Vincent happened to come across when heading into the city? A police chase. It seemed criminals were everywhere regardless of where Vincent went. Vincent had been standing on the sidewalk when some giant creature ran down the street and was followed by various cop cars. There was no mistaking the giant creature for the criminal in this scenario, and Vincent was inclined to leave it to the police to deal with until someone else showed up.

Vincent looked up as someone shouted only to see the source of the voice jump down and land roughly in front of the green giant. It would have been impressive had she not immediately fallen over. He could not help but smile a bit at that. Even the green creature laughed at her entrance, but the humor left Vincent when a car was hurled at the tall girl. Yes, she was tall, but Vincent had seen taller. Even the green criminal was rather short to what he was used to. Not that he was one to talk. He was shorter than both of them.

Again, Vincent could only watch as the girl materialized some sort of weapon in each of her.... four arms. Okay. He had missed that. The rapid fire also caught him off guard as he realized what kind of weapon she was using. At least it was not firing real bullets. That would have been too reckless. But he had done enough watching and figured he should help out. It was the least he could do since it seemed the police were going to let the girl handle it on her own.

Vincent vanished in a blur of silver only to reappear in front of the golden girl. He had made sure to materialize his own uniform as he looked up at the green giant with glowing silver eyes. Everything else was hidden in the darkness of his hood as his armor plating reflected the sunlight.

"But it seems your luck has run out!" Vincent said loudly as a large broadsword materialized in his right arm. Energy coursed through his arm to amplify his strength so he could carry the weapon easily. Vincent then vanished from sight before appearing in front of the green criminal as he aimed to slam the sword into the green giant and send him flying back. He made sure the flat edge of the sword was going towards the criminal as Vincent did not want to cut the man in half.

As Wargirl watched Leprekhan be flung away by the strength of the sword swing, she righted herself, threw her quickly dematerializing guns aside, and snapped her leg back into position. In a matter of seconds she was standing just fine again. A little embarrassed, and just a bit winded, but none worse for wear.

"Nice one!"

She walked up close behind Vincent, standing at her usual height. Though Leprekhan was far from down for the count...

"Ya wee gits! You'll never get me gold!" Leprekhan shouted, as he dropped the bag. Suddenly, from the bag, solid gold tendrils burst forth heading straight for Wargirl and her new friend.

Wargirl leaped in front of Vincent, conjuring several swords, and began swinging them against the 24-karat tentacles. "Shoot. I'll handle this side! You, uh, take his other side!"

It was then, and only then, that she realized that she was being attacked by the city's gold supply. What the hell, villain?

Even Vincent who was still getting used to this world had to wonder what was up with this green giant. The way he spoke was eerily similar to some of the people who knew, but it was just off and weird. Mainly just weird. Vincent still had to learn about all the different countries and nationalities in this world. None of them were similar to any from his home world, but thinking about that was just going to get him hurt.

His eyes widened a bit when the golden girl jumped in front of him and materialized swords in her hands. Now that was pretty awesome. Vincent had to wonder where the weapons came from. The previous guns had vanished after she dropped them. Considering all the different abilities he had seen so far, someone was bound to appear with powers similar to his. Vincent just hoped they were similar so he could learn to control his better.

That green giant did not make any sense telling them they would never get his gold and then using it as a weapon. He was practically asking for the gold to be taken now. That much made sense to Vincent, but he was never going to question a criminal's motives, especially not this weird green giant.

"Got it," Vincent said as he jumped up then jumped up again after propelling himself higher with his energy. Mustering his strength, Vincent launched the broadsword down at the green giant before Vincent disappeared from sight.

Vincent was still learning the limits of his energy, but he felt like he had plenty to burn through. There was no need to hold back against a criminal like this anyways. In a bright flash Vincent materialized behind the green giant with silver orbs floating around his body. "Let's see how you like it!" he called out before silver tendrils shot forward to pierce through the giant's limbs and hopefully hold him in place.

That day Psyman wandered about the city. Never before had he felt so restless and antsy. He just had to leave the safety of the lab. All he has been thinking about lately was Menace's Ring and he sought ways to acquire it before anyone else could get their grubby hands on it. He had been so obsessed with his visions of the ring that he barely noticed the aging effects of Dr. Burgess' de-ager ray gun gradually wearing off making him look a bit older. He now appeared twenty at least and along with his age he felt the full extent of his psychic abilities also slowly returning to him. It was a start at least, but he couldn't wait until he hit his true age, thirty again. He smirked a little at that.

Not wanting to risk being seen and recognized by the populace, Psyman kept his hood up. But then again he wasn't sure if the citizens of Steel City even knew of him. Still, better to be safe than sorry. He wore his new dark green armor complete with spiked cleats. While wandering the streets, deep in thought he heard the sound of sirens and from the sound of it they weren't very far away. Naturally believing they were after him, he dashed into a nearby alley. Once well-hidden he took a couple of moments to catch his breath before curiously peeking out and when he did he spotted a battle going on between a tall...four armed girl (o-kay, weird, but with all the other even weirder crap he's seen why not?), a dude with a sword against a freakishly tall, green claded man using (is that gold?) as his main weapon against the other two. From his hiding spot he watched as the man with the sword teleported behind the tall green freak before firing silver tendrils at him. 'What the hell?' thought Psyman as he really had no clue what was going on since he just got there. Obviously he missed something.

Knowing this was not his fight, the telepath was just about to walk away when a crazed thought crossed his mind. The tall green man although tall reminded him of a leprechaun and if he really was one there was a good chance of getting a wish out of him after catching him. Psyman theorized he could then use said wish to simply wish for Menace's Ring to materialize around the outside of his ring finger. But he had to be careful since leprechauns were notoriously tricky. One had to be extremely specific during wish making for not being so could mean trouble.

With this in mind he glared at the silver shooting man. No way was he about to let him 'steal' away his 'prize.' But he had to be smart about this. Rushing in there like a jack ass would likely get him killed. After all there were two of them: both were supers although he could not tell if they were the heroes or if the tall man they were trying to hold was the hero. Even the tall green man could mean him harm since he wouldn't know that Psyman was on 'his side.'

Getting an idea he decided to pose as a white coat. Taking a deep breath he very slowly approached them with hands held up in the air as to not appear threatening. He grinned at the three. "Good day to you my dear lady and...gentlemen," he said politely nodding at the three. "I notice you three are in a bit of a scuffle, but I am afraid there has been a very serious error," he began using his manipulative tongue in an attempt to trick them. "You see this gentleman here," he said, pointing straight at Leprekhan, "is actually under our...custody er protection."

Then looking specifically at Vincent he lowered his voice to a barely audible whisper, "you see he thinks he's an actual leprechaun. Kind of sad really, so I've been sent here by the local asylum to bring him back in. He kind of...escaped from us unfortunately. We don't even know how he did it, but he managed to get away from his doctors and well next thing you know he's out here causing all sorts of mischief and running from the police. Thank you. Thank you so much for finding and holding him for me. But, if you don't mind I'll take it from here."

He then calmly backed away from Vincent and looked at Leprekhan. "Don't worry. You're safe now," he assured the man in a sickly sweet voice.

He then entered the tall man's mind. 'It's okay. I'm an ally. I'm not with whoever those two are nor am I really a white coat. I lied. I really haven't been sent by anyone to take you anywhere. That was all a rouse to fool the other two or at least I hoped it fooled them anyway. I will help you, but I need you to do something for me afterwards," he telepathically informed Leprekhan, so the green man wouldn't attack him.

"So," he said clapping his hands and looking cheerfully at both Vincent and Wargirl. "Mind releasing my patient or...?"

Wargirl was quickly overwhelmed by the golden tendrils. Swinging blades at them barely did anything, and despite her super-strength and the fact that gold is a very soft, metal is metal, and she found all six of her limbs wrapped up. Wow, overconfidence was the enemy she truly had to face today. At least Leprekhan seems to be undergoing the same ordeal! This sword dude was pretty cool!

Then, that strange doctor showed up. Saying something about him being his mental patient... Now, Wargirl figured something wasn't exactly right there. Wasn't there the world famous Arkham Asylum in Gotham City for treating meta-human mental patients? Well, it was world-famous for the escapee rate.

"He'd need to return the gold he stole, of course... And fast, I'm not enjoying being up here!" Wargirl responded, still struggling from the tendrils.

"N-No!" Leprekhan shouted, as if he suddenly snapped out of a distracted state, "This is my gold now!" He broke into a run, and the golden mess of tentacles he created slithered alongside him, carrying a poor Wargirl off with him. "No rush or anything!" Wargirl shouted at the doctor and the warrior.

Vincent's aim would have been dead on had some man not come out and interrupted the fight. The silver tendrils just barely missed their targets and pierced the asphalt of the street instead. A few seconds later the tendrils faded away as if they had not even been there at all. Only the holes in the street were evidence the attack had been real enough.

He had absolutely no idea what this stranger was talking about. An escaped patient? Believed he was a leprechaun? None of that made any sense to Vincent. What Vincent did know was the green giant had been running from the police, and that was reason enough to capture him and hand him over. Then there was the fact this man had simply walked up to them even after seeing the fight going on. Only someone with a death wish would do something so stupid.

However that was enough of a distraction for the green giant to capture the golden girl and run off with her. This had become so much worse than it needed to have been all because this stranger had shown up. Vincent was not going to have any of this.

"Only an idiot walks up to the fight the way you just did," Vincent said after suddenly appearing in front of the stranger. "Interfere again and you will be the next target for my blades," Vincent threatened the man as his twin blades materialized in his hands and Vincent pointed one at the stranger's heart. Even through the distorted voice Vincent was giving off, one could easily pick up on the fact Vincent was being completely serious. He had no qualms injuring any who deserved such a fate.

Silver eyes stared at the man before Vincent faded away as he chased after the green giant. He managed to catch up in two jumps before coming down and slicing through the tendrils to free the golden girl.

"Let's bring this guy down!" Vincent called out before lunging at the green giant. His swords radiated a bright light as Vincent aimed to slash the giant's chest.

Seeing as it was currently in his best interest to do so, Psyman was just about to free Wargirl from the strange green man's golden trap when the tall guy apparently freaked out from the telepath hopping inside his head and as a result took off running with Wargirl as his hostage. Psyman groaned and glared after them. "Oh no you don't... You are not getting away from me that easily you gold loving freak," he hissed under his breath and was just about to give chase when he was stopped by the sword wielder. 'Oh shit,' thought Psyman, 'almost forgot about him. I really should have thought this plan thru more instead of rushing in. Well too late now.'

The sword man was less than pleased with Psyman's interference and while the telepath could understand where the guy was coming from as he did pretty much screw up Leprekhan's capture, but he still did not appreciate being bullied by the sword guy. Just who did he think he was anyway to insult and threaten me like this? Formerly Reflecto would have just forgot the whole thing, but that was back when he was still Reflecto and Psyman was different, wasn't he? Indeed, the telepath wanted nothing more than to snap this guy's mind and teach him a little lesson in manners and respect, but Psyman was a lot smarter than sword guy had given him credit for because the telepath accepted that he couldn't defeat sword guy in a physical fight. At least not right now although that may come in time.

So swallowing his pride, Psyman decided to play his 'safe card.' A loud gulp escaped his throat as he stared warily at sword guy's dual swords aimed right at his heart and for good measure he worked up a good sweat. 'Time to up the charm.' "Oh, I apologize profusely for acting so rashly and for losing Leprekhan, but if given the chance I am sure I can help you catch him and save your little friend in the process. After all, it's the least I can do after all the trouble I caused. Besides, Leprekhan was my responsibility! I have to get him back, but my...employers don't want him anymore. They think he is too crazy and dangerous. They want me to send him to Arkham. After he escaped I rather figured there would be some resistance on his part hence why I am wearing freakin armor! I don't dress this way for fun you know..." Psyman lied doing his best to make it sound good.

He didn't relax until sword guy left him and took off after Leprekhan and Wargirl and when he did Psyman took a deep breath. Watching sword guy in action, he frowned. The guy was doing so well and already freed the girl. And to make matters worse, Leprekhan was in trouble once more. "I don't think so tough guy. That leprechaun looking guy is mine! I have come way too far to give up now," he growled aloud to himself. Pulling out what appeared to be a remote he pressed a button and a few seconds later a green and black motorcycle appeared in front of him. He hopped on and stepping on the gas gave chase.

Blatantly ignoring sword guy's warning, the telepath caught up to the group. He telepathically spoke to Leprekhan once more. 'If you don't want to die then I suggest you grab on and hold on tight. And if you dare freak out again then I'll just leave you with these lovely people. Your choice.' The telepath eyed sword guy warily. No way was he going to risk losing his arms, so simply grabbing the guy was out.

"Gah, that voice again!" shrieked Leprekhan unhappily. "Get out of me head ye gits!" Then noticing sword guy about to stab him to death, Leprekhan closing his eyes took a chance and grabbed ahold of the dark green motorcycle as it passed by, jettisoning mere seconds before getting killed by the crazed sword wielding hero. But he didn't escape Vincent's wrath completely scott free since the former's sword pierced the little blighter's back just as he jumped onto Psyman's motorcycle. Talk about timing. A few seconds later and he would have been in little pieces for sure. He was injured and bleeding, but still alive. Oh so very much alive. He just wanted to know one thing, just who was his rescuer and why did he save him in the first place? After all he was a criminal, so why...? Not that he wasn't grateful, but... He doubted the guy was doing it out of the pure goodness of his heart. After all, everybody wanted their piece of the pie.

Once Leprekhan was safe on his bike, the telepath just smirked underneath his hood. Success! Psyman again stepped on the gas and drove off towards traffic with the intent of losing the two heroes.


ooc: Okay Var I noticed in your ooc in your first post that you were giving us permission to borrow Leprekhan, so I kind of did. But, if you didn't want me to then I can take that bit out.

Wargirl landed and quickly managed to throw off the golden tendrils. They fell to the ground, rigid. The gold's been left behind, and Leprekhan has been reunited with his mad doctor.

"So it looks like everything worked out! Nice sword work!" she said to her new friend. "I'm Wargirl. I'm trying to see if I can get noticed by Titans East, so maybe we should work together for a bit. 5 swords is better than 4, afterall."

She didn't have much time to chat though. The police caught up and one said "Hey what are you doing! Leprekhan just escaped from jail, you have to go after him!"

"Wait, you mean to say he's not a mental patient?"

Wargirl knew it. She'd been had.

Vincent felt his swords slash along something, but the cuts inflicted were nowhere near as deep as he had intended them to be. Something zoomed by for the green giant to grab a hold of before being pulled out of his reach. He knew he should have released the energy in his blades, but Vincent did not know how much power he had placed into them. The last thing they needed was for a building to be cut in half from an energy wave. Taking down the criminal did not mean endangering the lives of the innocent. At least that much was clear to Vincent about this whole hero business.

"Call me V," Vincent said to the golden girl as he watched their target speed off into traffic. Everything else fell on deaf ears as he watched the two speed away. He tightened the grip on his swords as a bit of anger crept up. Vincent had warned the man not to interfere, and yet he had done just that. Getting on Vincent's bad side was never a good idea, especially since his body was yearning for a real battle.

The policeman's voice snapped Vincent out of his trance as he nodded at the two of them. They were going to catch the two of them and make them pay for what they had done. Mainly, Vincent wanted to catch that strange man and make him realize his threats were not empty. Easy enough task to do. Vincent would just have to expend a bit more energy than he had anticipated. He was going to need a large meal after this was done, but it would be worth it.

"Wargirl, let's get this guy," Vincent said calmly as his swords faded away. Silver energy suddenly expanded to encompass them both before they would disappear. A second later they would appear in a silver orb up in the sky so they had an aerial view of the street the criminals had zoomed off into until Vincent spotted them. "There they are!"

Once more they would vanish only to reappear in front of the the duo. The silver sphere expanded to crash into the motorcycle and stop it in its tracks. Vincent was going to destroy their method of transportation before taking them out.

"Big guy is yours. The doctor is mine."

Beast Boy had been away for a while. There had been multiple reports a couple weeks ago of a villain hiding out in the rainforest. It was suspected that he or she was from Jump, so Beast Boy was the obvious choice for some snooping around down there. I mean, investigative work.

Anyway, his time was up and he had to report back to Robin. To get back to Jump, he had to make a connecting flight in Steel City, but he'd decided to stay overnight, hopefully visit some friends in town.

He was browsing a convenience store, trying to find a sandwich that didn't have ham, when the news anchor's on the TV caught his attention. There was some sort of scuffle a few blocks away. The aerial shot showed a motorcycle taking off with a large green guy and someone else in armor, while two other people disappeared in a sorta silvery-orb-thing.

"Ha ha, yes! Finally, some real action!" Beast Boy abandoned his quest for a vegan lunch, dashing to the front of the store and taking flight as an eagle the second he was clear. He soared over the city, searching below for the motorcycle. The men riding it seemed to be running, so he was going to take a 50/50 shot and say those two were the villains here. Besides, he'd lost track of the other two once they'd poofed, so he'd try to track them down aft--WHOA!

He barely turned in time to avoid colliding with the two heroes (he hoped they were heroes) in the silvery bubble. What were they doing so high up? He circled them once, cawing at them, then goggled at the spot as they disappeared again.

Aiming down towards the street, about a block or so ahead of the villains to give himself some leeway, he landed and shifted immediately into a rhinoceros. He charged at the motorcycle, his head turned down so the horn on his nose was angled to throw off the front tire.

His eyes bulged and he skidded to a stop as the two others appeared once again, in front of him. Shifting back, he stopped next to them in a sweat.

"Where'd you guys come from?" he asked in confused awe, "And what's going on?"

For a few brief moments it appeared that the arrogant telepath and Leprekhan were going to get away. Psyman just chuckled nutily to himself at the very thought of escaping with what he genuinely believed to be a wish granter. He could almost taste the Ring of Menace. No longer would he have to take orders from anyone. No, if anybody was going to call the shots it would be him.

But of course as he dodged in and out of traffic like a pro those pesky defenders of the law would go through great lengths to stop him. Luckily for he and his 'partner,' Psyman getting the sense that the heroes weren't going to give up so easily happened to glance at his rear view mirror and to his great surprise the two law abiders vanished into thin air. The telepath's eyes widened. 'What the...?' 'Where'd they go?' Freaking out slightly, the telepath looked all around them and not even his awesome driving skills could save him from what happened next. However, his new visions ability could. In the little time he had left his mind bestowed upon him a vision of the two heroes abruptly appearing in front of him via a silver orb causing damage not only to his mode of transport, but to himself and Leprekhan as well. Once his vision ended, Psyman's eyes blinked as his mind raced on how to best proceed. He realized he wouldn't have enough time to dodge the sphere's impact, but he could do the next best thing: save himself and leprekhan from being seriously injured; which was too bad. He really liked that bike.

Thinking quickly, the telepath without any warning kicked Leprekhan off his bike while he himself backflipped off landing in the middle of the street. A mere two seconds later his prediction came true as Vincent and Wargirl arrived on the scene in the form of the silver sphere. But, that was not all he saw. Psyman watched helplessly as a familiar green rhino charged at his bike, hitting the front tire causing his beloved bike to crash straight into the sphere causing a small explosion. 'Damn, these lawabiders are crazy! They almost killed me!" The telepath glanced a look at Leprekhan who was slowly climbing back to his feet with a similar expression on his face. "That's twice now I saved your sorry ass! You owe me!" the delusional telepath hissed as he slowly made his way over to the taller man.

The Leprekhan eyes blinked with confusion on his face. "What be ye on about ye crazy git? I never asked ye to save me although I do appreciate it. Now don't ye be getting no crazy ideas about getting me gold," Leprekhan answered defensively.

Psyman's expression was stern. "I don't want your gold," he answered flatly. "I want..." But before he could finish verbally stating his demands, the duo were once again interrupted by the defenders of the law moving in on them. "Damn, looks like we'll have to continue this later," Psyman stated, annoyed. 'Was he ever going to get that stupid ring? Probably not, but he sure as hell was going to try.'

Glancing towards the heroes he uttered a small gasp as he saw the green rhino shift into the familiar form of Beast Boy. "Beast Boy..." he whispered as though unsure. He had to admit he didn't think the green shifter would be so...violent and for some reason his stupid vision hadn't given him the courtesy of showing the green rhino bit. If it had then maybe there could have been something he could have done to dodge the attack, so his bike wouldn't lay in ruins now. Indeed, if anything the former Titan was shocked to find Beast Boy here in Steele City at all. Also, the green shifter's presence made the telepath even more confused. He wasn't sure if he was happy to see him or just annoyed. It had been awhile since he last saw the little guy. He wondered what he had been up to since he hadn't seen head nor tail of him around anywhere lately, but then again he himself had been in hiding during the past few months. But, on the other hand the interfering Titan had just destroyed his motorcycle, his favorite mode of transport. Good thing he could always buy a new one. Still annoying though.

When the group hadn't come over to he and Leprekhan right away, the delusional telepath couldn't help feeling slighted. He couldn't believe it, they were just standing around talking, paying him no attention at all as though he wasn't worthy of their attention. "Hey!" Psyman boldly called to the group ignoring Leprekhan's pleas not to. "You fighters of the law nearly killed me and now you are just chatting it up as though it were no big deal. Honestly, I'm offended," he called out walking over to them.

His yellow eyes from underneath his hood wandered over to Beast Boy. "Hello Beast Boy. Been awhile hasn't it?" he casually asked with a nasty smirk. "Before any of you three lay a hand on me, I'd like to remind you of something. Technically speaking I committed no crimes. Really, all I did was save that gold loving psycho from your sword. There, that's all I did. Now really people, how is saving a life a crime? Besides, you guys save lives I presume all the time. What's the difference?" Psyman slyly asked, arms firmly crossed as he looked at all three of them.

"If anyone is violent, it's you," he said accusingly, looking intently at Vincent. "Regardless, if they are a criminal or not you can't just kill someone," Psyman boldly lectured Vincent. Truthfully, he had only said those things because Beast Boy was there. If he wasn't, the telepath probably wouldn't have bothered as there would be no point.


ooc: Feel free to take Leprekhan back, Var. I'm not sure what to have him do other than possibly ditching Psyman. Seems like something he may do anyway. I'm not sure.

His deployment in Jump was looking less and less like the permanent gig it had been a year ago. Robin's team were receiving recruits left and right in Jump, and even though the majority of them had not yet gained full Titans Tower access and living privileges, Speedy could tell that when there was trouble, there were more than enough Titans available to call.

For the time being, he'd been making regular trips back to Titans East's main haunt in Steel, if only so the citizenry wouldn't forget his handsome face.

Pfftch; that would take a lot.

He found himself taking to the rooftops off of an alert his T.Comm. was blaring from a police report, that a ‘strange gigantic green anomaly’ was wreaking havoc and leaving a few heroes in the dust. Whoever these heroes were, Speedy was inclined to give them more credit than the reports were calling in with; a scared cop’s eyesight could make all the difference, he’d come to believe.

“One, two, three…”
The archer reached the location based on the cops’ transmissions, then counted outloud, starting with the girl with the extra appendages through to two familiar faces; the significantly shorter green-guy, and the all-around-shorter bladesman with the sweet tooth.

“…four. That’s a lucky number, right?” Pointing an arrow at himself, he finished his counting, then trapped up the significantly taller green-guy with the Net Arrow. Leprekhan had just been through a nasty roll from a now decimated motorcycle explosion, thanks to his little counterpart.

“So it looks like YOUR luck’s run out.”
Speedy finished smugly, before turning from his perch to the other three heroes plus the rationalizing Reflecto Psyman, whom he had run into back during his temp work undercover at WayneTech. The ginger made sure his second arrow was a Punching Glove Arrow to the likely netted Leprekhan’s face, then notched a similar fate for Psyman to his bow, and aimed it.

“Vince can handle himself under pressure. It’s you I’m not so sure about, ‘Professor’. How about you pause the lecture and spill the beans, first; what are you doing here, and what does it have to do with Green Giant over there?”

Today truly was her lucky day. Wargirl grinned from ear to ear. Immediately after Speedy let loose his punching glove bow, Wargirl stomped the ground so hard it left cracks, enthusiastically cartwheeled through the air, and landed on Professor Dinkus's other side. Wargirl was no strategist, but flanking was the oldest strategy in the book. She readied two bows and was ready to fire, but first...

"OH MY GOD SPEEDY! I'M A BIG FAN! DO YOU THINK AFTER THIS I CAN JOIN TITANS EAST?"

Vincent had to wonder just what was wrong in the head with this so called doctor. The man had begun the fight and yet he was so inclined to try and talk his way out of everything. People like that quickly found themselves without a tongue in Vincent's world. As much as he would enjoy such an act, Vincent knew that course of action would be frowned upon by many. Then again Vincent would normally not be having any of these thoughts. His fighting instincts were just taking over, and Vincent was not aware of all the acts of a similar nature he had committed in his past.

"My actions towards you have nothing to do with the law. I warned you that if you interfered, I would take action against you. Of course, if you are too scared to fight, run away with your tail between your legs. Why would I want to waste my time on a coward?" Vincent responded in kind to Psyman.

Vincent said nothing with the arrival of the other two heroes. Beast Boy he knew plenty of but had never really met the guy. Vincent had just not expected to see the green changeling in this city. Speedy, on the other hand, Vincent had heard this was the archer's main city. He had just been hoping to wrap all of this up before any other heroes had arrived.

The golden girl's excitement seemed to lighten Vincent's mood and push back the darkness inside of him. That girl was really excited to see Speedy and had even asked to join his team already. Vincent could not help but smile a bit at that little outburst. With the green giant captured in Speedy's net, there was no chance of escape for the doctor now.

"Just give yourself up already. There's no way you're getting away from all of us. Most certainly not from me," Vincent said to Psyman. The swords in his hands faded away, and silver energy was focused at each of his finger tips. Vincent was ready to take action against anything the doctor could try next.
