Cheshire has gotten just about tired of that awful noise as the shopping center she was in steadily covered in a paintball-like substance. Of course, Cheshire being the acrobat she was easily avoided the substance as it splattered from the paintbrush-like wand of her assailant. Her opponent was quite the sight. Some platinum blonde heroine in a lavender domino mask and the ostentatious rainbow uniform. The closest comparison Cheshire could think of was that Rainbow Brite character from the 80's and even that didn't really do it justice. Cheshire hadn't even committed any crimes to net this stupid girl's attention. (Apart from stomping out heroes, Cheshire wasn't really into crime.) The girl had simply sought her out and started chasing after her with that ridiculous paintbrush staff of hers not even really seeming to care if she hit civilians along the way.

Cheshire supposed the brush was harmless enough. It fired some sort of paint-like goo that acted as a super adhesive. Nothing deadly, but Cheshire didn't want herself getting caught in it and she wanted as few civilians as possible getting caught in it either, so she'd been trying to play cat and mouse with Rainbow Rite leading her to an abandoned location where she could take the girl out and confiscate that brush of hers for the better of mankind. Cheshire's only worry is that a Titan would intercept the two of them before Cheshire could get the naive girl alone and of course take the blonde's side what with Jade's history in several criminal bits of activity.

"Halt evildoer! Behold my powers of RAINBOWS! Let them shine away the darkness in your evil heart!" she cried out, blasting another stream of paint that only managed to make the lamppost Cheshire had just been on basically useless. What was this girl going on about? Was she even aware of the fact that she was wearing a bubbly rainbow dress and shooting paint out of a staff shaped like a giant paintbrush? And so many people wondered why Jade hated the whole hero thing. Luckily, she was pushing the girl towards the seedier part of Jump where Jade would have the advantage but then the weirdo did something unexpected. "RAINBOW BEACON! Help me Titans! (I'm your biggest fan~)" she cried out dramatically as she shot a blob of paint into the sky that exploded in the sky like a firework essentially announcing their location to the entire city. So much for avoiding Titans. Chesh could only imagine what costumed weirdo was going to respond to a paint flare.

WFT Could Anne not even have a normal day of shopping? The teleporter stared at the neon pink paint blot that was at the hight of her head. Her indignation burned as she watched it melt the wall a little. Anne turned toward the fight, a few more blots were fired off before a large flair was fired off letting off a bright rainbow. Not only had she almost killed, well certainly not improve her heath, her, she was far from lowkey and was causing hell. This was why Cat disliked heroes.

Anne watched the fight a moment as it moved before pulling on her mask. Cat didn't want to take the time to change fully. Her street clothes were pretty none script and she could throw them out later. After the flair went up, Cat took off in that direction. The Rainbow child had started firing again on the other masked girl. Cat cringe at what she was about to do, but she shrugged. She was ticked and wanted to get even. Her mind locked onto the girl.

"Hey Numbnuts, watch where you're aiming." Cat appeared behind her tapping her the shoulder before disappearing as the girl turned. She appeared again a ways away, postion the girl with the cat mask behind the rainbow freak. "For a hero you're worse than the titans." The girl shot at her, making Cat grin. She imminently switched with the girl making her take the hit. The teleporter grinned as she dodged down the street, the direction the other cat had been going.

Well she'd be damned. That stupid rainbow flare got the attention of someone on her side... maybe. One of those enemy of my enemy is my ally situations. Cheshire didn't recognize this newcomer. There appearance hinted their participation in the situation was rather impromptu. For all she knew though, the newcomer could be one of the many bounty hunters on her tail, (no pun intended) which would easily prompt her antagonism with the heroes of Jump. You don't really betray the Brotherhood of Evil without making a couple enemies, and with her gone from their ranks, they'd probably turn to outsourcing their assassins to contractors. If it was a contracted assassin that would make things unfortunately complicated. Unaffiliated hitmen were on Cheshire's 'do-not-kill' list. First of all, you kill one and five will spring up to take their place out of revenge and second of all, they were doing their job without a connection to good or evil and that qualified them as an innocent in Cheshire's book.

For now, she'd give the newcomer the slip and see if she made any attempts on her. Chesh for a brief second pondered the hilarious possibility the newcomer was hero who'd accidentally thought Rainbow Stupid was the villain in this situation. Probably wasn't the case with how Rainbow was blathering about justice and Titans, but it would still be utterly hilarious if some idiot hero mistook her for one of them. With Rainbow struggling to escape her own substance, Cheshire took off as fast as she could towards the underground. Worst case scenario, they both were heroes, realized they were on the same team and Chesh would have them both cornered and easy to take out. Best case scenario, she lost them both.

Cat stood smirking at the painted rainbow girl, sweet revenge. Her laughter stopped when the would be hero managed to get free she looked a great deal more disheveled and very pissed. Cat's eyes widened before blinking out the plane a moment appearing off to the side. The acidity of the paint had gone up and was leaving rather devastating holes in the ground. Well she just went from harmless to scary.

Cat warped again, well she ticked Rainbow girl off and now she had to handle her, because there was no way this would end well other wise. The unicorn poop hero had turned her brush on the girl she had been chasing before Cat jumped in. Cat sighed, muttering a quick apology before locking onto girl. Using herself as a reference point she moved the girl, with the Cheshire grinning mask to where she was as the area was splattered with acidic sticky paint.

"Sorry for moving you suddenly, but it looked like you were going to get hit. Paint brush help get please." She glanced around the 'Hero' had found them again. "Sorry again!" Cat grabbed the girl's arm and teleported again.

Cheshire felt a great amount of happiness seeing the Jane and her Not-So Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat get more and more frustrated to not get her way. It was nice having someone to be a nice distraction as well. Getting a bit confident, Cheshire began doubling back, hoping she could sneak behind the Equestria Girls reject and strike her from behind to get the paintbrush out of her hands. As she slipped behind a store awning, the annoying blonde brat's voice came back into hearing range. "I should've known Ms. Cheshire Cat would have an accomplice. I will just have to defeat you both then!" she cried out towards the newcomer. Cheshire couldn't help but just sigh.
"Sure you will Pretty Magical Princess. Sure you will," Jade thought as she moved in closer towards her target hoping to get past her. The unfortunate side effect of seeing Rainbow Brite squirm was it meant she was losing more control of her attacks, pushing them into the deadly range. For such a colorful and cute hero, her abilities were... rather morbid. Those civilians unfortunate enough to get caught so far probably didn't suffer too bad. Anyone caught now though would be taking a nice trip to hospital.

Chesh reached the greatest exposure point of her double-back and made a break to get through trying her best to focus and maintain invisibility. Unfortunately, the rainbow hero had to go and screech something just as she ran for it. "STAND STILL FOR A MINUTE SO I CAN MELT YOU INTO A HAPPY TREE!" she cried out in a frustrated tone, hurting Chesh's eardrums and breaking her focus and exposing herself out in the open. "Gotcha now!" the hero cried out in victory as she flung a glob of paint at Cheshire. The assassin prepared to dive out of the way, but instead found the action done for her by her unconsented accomplice. Cheshire was a little frustrated having had her work done for her, but a favor was a favor, she wasn't going to be a jerk about it. That's what 'heroes' were for.
"I appreciate the help despite that I didn't ask for it. Who exactly are you?" Cheshire asked, only to get interrupted by Rainbow Brite.
"You're both right in my crosshairs!" she said as her paintbrush turned into what seemed to be a paintball rifle of some kind. Could this girl get any more ridiculous? It was like she was made PURELY for this situation or something.
"Sorry again!" Chesh heard before suddenly they were in the computer store that she had ran into Speedy for the second time in.
"Well thank you again. I think we have a second until she finds us again. Mind taking that time to explain the situation? One usually doesn't help out the bad guy, though considering SHE attacked me, I question who the 'bad guy' is in this particular situation" Chesh questioned, ignoring the confused onlookers who watched the duo just appear on a display table all of a sudden.

Initially, the report had been for an act of mass vandalism at the mall. It was not quite something that was Titan territory, and the only reason why she heard of it was as she passed by TV store that was relaying the news with a touch of humour not absent from the woman's tone. The unnamed, unidentified perpetrator was a female in her teens who seemed to have magical paint-related powers, engaging another teen that Starfire recognized. It was Cheshire; while they had little information on her in their records, the presence of the elusive and anonymous masked teen was enough to have Starfire flying in direction toward Jump Citie's largest shopping mall. Not that she needed directions; there had been an explosion of rainbow light right above it.

Just as it was in sight, Starfire's communicator beeped. Cyborg was informing her of a situation at the mall. "I am heading toward there now," she explained, but then her eyes widened when she was informed that it had escalated to civilian injury. The screen of her communicator showed a surveillance video feed of the moment when the perpetrator's paint started melting what it touched. The ambulance would be there in within an average of 10 mins, along with the local police, but Starfire knew she had to make sure that the situation was under control and do what she could to prevent further injury or worse.

The scene of the crime was relayed on a schematic of the mall, and with quick speed she arrived, following a trail of paint splatter until she came upon the large square of the shopping centre simply coated in the stuff. "Halt!" Starfire called out to the girl in the bubbly rainbow dress from her position mid-air, her fists activating the glow of starbolts. "Cease your paint fighting please!"

Cat stared at Cheshire's mask a moment before shaking her head before pointing to her ear. "I physically can't hear you. Unless you know sign language, I need to see your lips to know what you are saying." The thief paused a moment, paint blaster had just returned to the main street and was looking for them. "Well that's just grand. Starfire just joined this party." Cat jumped off the table pulling her cloak out of thin air and wrapping it around her, hiding her street cloths as she switched into uniform in the blink of an eye and giving her access to most of her tools. Her mind was going a million miles a second.

With a genuine titian here Cat really didn't want to turn this into a confrontation. Cat could always leave, but leaving a job unfinished was never her style. Second despite being sure the other girl could take care of herself, Cat felt the need to stay and help. She was sick and tired of 'heroes' like mariposa princess. Cat turned to the other girl. "What do you plan to do now?"

Cheshire just kind of stared at Catastor for a second before letting out a long sigh. She carefully crooked her mask so that it still covered her eyes and nose, but revealed her mouth motions. "I asked who you were and why you were helping the supposed 'bad guy', which is arguable in this situation since she attacked me first," Chesh said in a slightly more irritated tone. She felt bad for the deaf girl, but it was a little ridiculous to repeat yourself when time was of the essence. Starfire would leave paint girl distracted for a little while, but it meant double the trouble when they needed to make a getaway out of this spot. "Well best case scenario, I'm going to escape out of here and return home and we can all forget this whole thing ever happened. I don't forsee the great paint giving up that easily though,"

Meanwhile, outside, the paint gal in question had crumbled in awe at the sight of Starfire, inadvertently complying to her wishes to stop fighting, but instead now becoming a cling-on to the Tamaranian's leg. "I am your biggest faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan" the girl droned, not even listening to and comprehending what the hero was even saying to her. There wasn't going to be anything coherent coming out of her mouth anytime soon.

Starfire did not exactly know what to do when the perpetrator took her by the leg, not to toss her or perform any kind of manoeuvre, but to wrap her arms around and press as close as possible. Starfire liked embraces but she's never received one to the leg. "O-oh, is that so..?" she asked a little uncertainly and had the sudden urge to shake her leg out. This was not the ideal combat position, and with that brush of unknown property being so close to such an intimate area Starfire was feeling a little nervous.

"I-uhm, you have caused damage and I will have to..." She looked down at the rainbow girl with the most confused expression. Perhaps this was a form of detainment? At least until the police arrived. Her head swivelled as she tried to survey her area. There appeared to be no civilians injured despite the property damage, but where was Cheshire? Had she made her escape? She became sensitive to movement. If anyone wanted to leave, they'd have to do so out of sight which might be a little difficult considering her location...
