Jump City slept like a tired soldier. The sun had long gone down over the city, neon, lightbulbs and headlights taking the sun's place in lighting the town up. On this night, Gideon Hart was focused on one particularly large set of lights: the Royal Flush Casino, located in the heart of Jump's sprawling and famous entertainment district. But to Gideon, this casino was a cancer in that heart. Short of literal slavery, Gideon could scarcely think of a more diabolical institution than casinos. Men and women of all walks of life came here to gamble away what little they made from their hard work in a vain attempt to make more money...an attempt that, statistically, would fail much more often than it would succeed. And yet, they kept coming back to this place, funneling their funds into it. They were addicted, unable to stop like a junkie.
Calibur would break their addiction. Cut them off, cold turkey, at the source.
The Knight stood in his full armor in the casino's empty parking lot, a duffel bag over his shoulder.. The casino had recently been closed to the public so that staff could ensure the building was up to standards and safety codes. And, considering how late at night it was, most of the construction crew had likely left for the night. This night would probably be the best chance Calibur would get to destroy this place with as little people as possible getting hurt. He walked forward toward the front door, the automatic sliding doors surprisingly still working. In fact, the whole place curiously still had power. Calibur made a mental note to work fast.
As he walked in through the doors, Calibur already found himself not too far from the bulk of the slot machines. Though he had a bigger plan in mind for this place, the knight wouldn't deny himself a little fun. And if things went wrong, he still wanted to leave a little mark on this place. Setting the stuffed duffel bag down, Calibur snapped, summoning his Fang of Agilulf to his hand and then charging forward. The steel of his blade met the first machine he came to, slicing it in half. The same fate met the second one...and the third one...and the fou-okay, Calibur kind of stopped counting after three and blacked out a little bit. When he came back to his senses, he found just about all of the machines he saw when walking in pieces. Good.
The Knight turned around, returning to his duffel bag, removing a gas tank from it. Now the real fun could begin....
