Sterling smiled, in tow with the group, trying to keep a low profile as much as possible. Though people kept stopping pony-girl (And himself and everyone else for that matter.) for pictures. He posed for a few, and got shoved aside in favor of the giant Ariel and other characters for others. He didn't mind, really. The less attention he got, the better.
Though when Pony-Girl, the one who had offered the ramen, mentioned she needed money for the dealer hall and would see if she could get them a discount, he spoke.
"I'll handle paying."
A small smile formed on his lips as he separated from the group for a moment. He knew the owner of the place, and the man quickly walked up to greet him.
"I'd like to pay off my tab, and secure ramen for myself and my friends. How much for a group that size, all you can eat?"
He pointed out the group, and the owner's face looked astonished.
"With how much YOU eat? I'd say at least one hundred for you alone, and Rumble over there I'd say another hundred."
Sterling smirked. He then shoved a large wad of cash into the owner's hand.
"Y-yes, this WILL cover it, I imagine. Go have a seat, we'll take your orders shortly."
The ramen shop itself was nice. The music coming from the speaker system was a little bit too Visual Kei for him, Malice Mizer always seemed out of place for eating, but hey, Japanese music for a Japanese restaurant. It was a nice place, and he spied the table that they would use. He walked back over to the group, and spoke again. He smiled as they all walked to the table.
"Don't worry about affording the dealer hall, it's on me this time, friend."
He laughed. It was a good natured laugh, not condescending.
"And you'll also be paying what something's worth, we didn't overcharge for booth rights, so they don't have to charge a fortune to break even like most conventions."
He ordered Miso Ramen when they came to take the orders, wondering what everyone else was going to order. Today, at least, was starting out quite good.
