PERSONALITY
Kaie is generally a pretty cheerful person. She's optimistic, friendly, and maybe a little overly happy. She's a bit self-conscious about her size, so she tries to be nice to everyone to counter the negative stereotypes about giants. Not to say that it isn't genuine, she really is a pretty peppy person. Her behavior can be a bit fangirlish at times, but she tries to keep it from getting creepy. Sometimes she even succeeds. Her optimism can be a bit naive, but she's tough enough to get through the consequences. And, of course, she wants to be a hero. Kaie's always been a fan of supers, and now she feels her powers are finally ready for her to use them for THE GREATER GOOD.
POWERS/SKILLS
Kaie is quite simply a giant. She's twice the height of a human, and has much higher mass. 12 feet tall and still growing, with some doctors saying she may get as tall as 15 or 16 feet. The density of her bones, muscle, skin, and everything else is far higher than regular people, reinforced to support her massive size. This added muscle density has also given her super strength. She has to be careful to keep from breaking things, especially furniture. She can also cover a block with a running jump, but rarely does because of the craters she makes on landing. The cause of all this continues to baffle doctors. Kaie can tank a lot of shots, lift buses, and flick with the force of a prizefighter's punch. Her long stride and incredible strength make her fast, too, able to run up to 30mph. Just don't ask her to turn on a dime, or stop too quickly. That much size has a lot of momentum.
WEAKNESSES
-She is a MASSIVE target. It's pretty much impossible not to hit her.
-She's impulsive, charging into things without thinking.
-She is the opposite of stealth. You can't not hear and see her coming.
-She can be a bit dense sometimes.
-If injured, she heals as slowly as a normal human.
-Her immune system is like a human's, so allergies or illness might take her out of the game sometimes.
HISTORY
Kaie was born in Dublin, the daughter of working-class parents. She was big at birth, but she grew more and more. By the time she was a year old, she was as big as a seven year old child. It was around then her father left. He didn't know what to do with a giant child, and thought he couldn't handle it so he walked out on them. Keelin did her best to raise the girl alone, although it was difficult to raise a giant while working a full-time job. The neighbors would help sometimes, but they stopped once the kid got past 8 feet tall.
Kaie ended up having to raise herself a lot of the time, and money was tight with all the custom-ordered clothes. It was only recently that Keelin saw a way out. She heard about the accommodations Jump City offered for superpowered teens, and it seemed like that would be a help for them. So they moved to the states, settling down in Jump. Kaie is getting the care she needs, and the superhero fights mean there's always enough construction work for Keelin to get a good paycheck. Life's going pretty well right now, enough that Kaie finally convinced her Ma to let her be a hero. Jump City's known to be a good place for young heroes, so Keelin grudgingly obliged and got her a superhero costume. Kaie's venturing out to try and stop crime on her own, though she really wants to join the Titans.
