Stone-cold slaughter (Open)

From the shadows of an alley, a red-eyed Deus grinned manically. The monares womans magic was working so far, Deus was dead asleep and leaving the more grim Disgaia in control of the half-demons body. And not only was he gonna do what The rabbit-moon woman wanted him to do.

He was gonna have fun doing it too.

It was the dead of night, close to ten o'clock. And the streets of Jump were still awash with the busy civilians. His body flashed with red light, bathing the entire alley with it's sinister glow as concrete and metal shot from below him and from either wall of the buildings he was between. In seconds the glow was covered in a massive conglomerate of stone and steel, quickly forming a serpentine shape looking near perfectly like Naga. And then with a terrifying roar from his new mouth, Disgaia shot out of the alley as a stone Naga and began doing what he did best.

Butchering everyone.

Of course he left a few survivors to run and spread the word, but he made sure that not only was every death brutal, but also monstrous and messy. The stone serpent body led a trail of crimson to a sewer opening, before tearing it open so that it would fit and dove through. As the stone serpent touched down in the sewer it melded into the sewers base, becoming one with it and seamlessly. Disgaia then rose from the ground in the alley his massacre had started from, hiding himself in the shadows once again to see what or who showed up.

The best way to make an act convincing was to do the song and dance in front of the main audience after all.

[Empathy]

"JPD calling all titans. A monster is on a killing spree in south Jump." The voice on the intercom was frantic. "We need help immediately." Sun was one of the patrolling titans tonight. As a junior member, she had to report back to base before engaging into anything higher profile than a theft. This probably qualified. "Sun here. I'm flying to your location as we speak." Her stellar form was light and mobile, and Francesca sped through skyscrapers and above buildings where her intercom guided her. She arrived at the location of the massacre too late though.

Landing at the very epicenter of the bloody crime scene, Sun took out her intercom and said, "Sun reporting back to tower. At least two dozens dead, some survivors but no sign of the aggressor." She was heading towards one of the huddled survivors to gather information, when the rather obvious bloody trail caught her attention. "Scrap what I just said. I'm following a lead while its still fresh." And with that she flew to the sewer entrance.

Floating above it, she tried to get a better look down. "Sun reporting. The aggressor is in most likelihood a good dozen feet tall and has gone underground." Her light shone through the hole. "The trail of blood leads to an opening in the sewers..." She slowly descended, cautiously increasing her plasma density in the process. "And... it vanishes?" Could the other titans still hear her? Was the opening large enough to let through her radio signal?

"Where did you go?" Sun gathered up some mass, and turned it into a bright pulse of light, trying to flood the tunnel until every single corner was visible. Her star lost some mass in the process, but turned also a vaporizing blue.

Ink responded first to Sun's call, 'Aye Ink here Sun on mae way now!" she answered quickly, running as fast as she could to the roof. Annet would be fastest to get there, and would leave her enough strength to summon another beast should she need them. The door to the roof flew open and she barreled out, summoning Annet as soon as their was enough space and jumping onto her back the moment her talons touched the ground. "FLY!" She shouted rather then just giving the mental order. In all of her time in Jump she had never heard of anything close to this scale of death. Not Even Singed had managed to kill that many when he blew up the whole mall.

Ink and her beast flew as fast as her wings would take her, the creator was careful to listen to suns updates as they flew over the water, then through the city buildings, careful to keep honing in on Sun's signal. Her first sight of the blood that painted the street below her was to high to make out the details of what had happened below her, but it was enough to make her stomach heave. "Sun I'm here." she said over the communicator, landing Annet far enough away that she had to walk to get to the crime scene. She needed the gradual rise in visual details so that she could better prepare herself by the time she was finally there.

The cops floated about like flies on a bloated corpse but didn't try to stop her, she tried to stay as far away as she could from them though lest the crazy Lieutenant commissioner try to arrest her like he had Robin. Sun was down in the sewers so Ink aimed to join her, stopping to help the few survivors that lay in her path.

When there was trouble everyone knew who to call. And when you had a mystery on your hands you called Robin. The boy had gotten the distress call and ran to his motorcycle, but he was nowhere near as fast as his teammates who could fly. He listened in to Sun's reports through the T-Comms as he weaved in and out of traffic at dangerous speeds. There was a reason Robin was often considered the slowest teammate.

The Boy Wonder hopped off his motorcycle when he saw the police. He raced up to a familiar woman with dark hair. “Commissioner,” he greeted. “What happened?”

“Some sort of monster,” she explained the smile on her face from seeing the familiar teen dying to a thin line as worry etched across her features. “It's killing people. You and your team get in there and get rid of it.”

They were the monster hunters. Robin gave her a curt nod and went to work.

He was following the bloody trail above knowing that most of his team was below. It was better to try and find the start from up here. Besides, he knew most of his team didn't have the heart of stomach for this work. Robin could still remember his first murder victim and dismembered corpse. It got easier with time. Barely.

He continued along the trail, his eyes narrowing at the serpentine nature. Of course, all the signs were pointing to complete and utter disaster. He pulled out his communicator. “Ink,” he addressed the redheaded artist. “Where is Naga?”

Disgaia watched as the chaos of discovering dead rolled through the officers that had come on scene. He could nearly taste their despair and fear, but with the arrival of the first titan this delicacy of delectable emotions was taken from him. But as the ball of plasma passed into the sewers where his false trail led, he knew she would be the most trouble.

A literal living ball of plasma was for anyone really.

The next for him to take note of was Ink. Oh he thought of so many ways he could make her scream just so the mans body he had taken control of would hate him even more. And with such a pale body even the slightest cuts would show.

She was the perfect canvas in the demons twisted mind.

Then finally the boy wonder himself arrived on the scene, pausing to speak with the female commissioner.

Oh this was more then just good, this was out right delicious! Even though there were few titans here, with the teams leader on the scene any deaths with him present would be pinned on his inability to halt the monster. If this didn't get public hate on the moon woman's "pet" Disgaia had no idea how to make it better, but he was having a hard time focusing on the plan with so many juicy targets out there. He had to fight everything in his body from giggling and simply leaping out there screaming and butchering them all like an angry tornado of death. There was plenty of time for the fun, but first he had to get back into "character" first. The giant half-demon possessed backed deeper into the alley before once again donning the stone and steel made guise of Naga.

With his first target in sight, the Stone Serpent shot from the darkness of the alleyway. A feral roar echoing across the nights sky, the snake shooting out into the open like a bolt of lightning. In a matter of seconds the Stone Naga's razor claws were coming down on his latest victim.

The commissioner.

[Empathy]

Sun responded with a warm, "Aye." as Ink arrived at the crime scene and talked into the communicator. Moving deeper into the tunnels, Sun concluded that wherever the beast went, they had most likely lost it. Her pulses of light traveled pretty far into the darkness, and reflected on nothing but trivial objects. "My radar isn't picking up anything down here." How fast was that big thing? "Do we know when the monster left the scene?" The newbie Titan was making her way back above ground. She could now hear two voices speaking. A woman and Robin were talking, but Fran couldn't make out the words. She did hear however Robin's question aimed at Ink through the communicator.

Sun didn't know the answer to that one, but could think of an easy way to check the whereabouts of Ink's bigger serpent friend. She pulled out her T-communicator while floating out of the artificially enlarged manhole. "Sun contacting the tower." Ink would probably hate her for this. "Can anyone back at home tell me if Nag..." A loud shriek interrupted the communication. It came from Fran's right side.

Turning, she could see a giant and dark shape jumping at the police officers from an alley. The commissioner already had her gun out, while a male officer next to her had just fallen on his backside and yelled. Sun launched herself to intercept he predator. The beast's claws were out. It pounced. The commissioner rolled to the opposite side. The other officer remained frozen, but not voiceless. Sun would not make it in time for the fool. But maybe she could save the commissioner. Her star was the size and weight of a car. It was also insanely hot. The sun-girl was focusing her mind on two things: don't burn the humans. Burn the monster.

She didn't have time to think about the rest of the decorum.

Ink was not hunting the monster, she was coddling a young girls head in her lap trying not to cry. The girl was alone, and scared, and mortally wounded. Her precious blood pumping out of her with each frantic beat of her heart. And there was absolutely nothing the little red headed lass could do but whisper about how her mother was coming, and it would all be ok, and that all of her dreams would come true. "Shhhh." she whispered as she stroked her hair, repeating her false promises. The girl had been caught on the edge of the attack, it was the only reason she was was whimpering in the Scott's lap. Ink stayed there cuddling a dying girl, trying to comfort her in her last few moments.

The girl died with a whimper in her lap as Robin arrived to the scene. Ink sobbed, huddled over a girl who's name she didn't even know, who hadn't even had a chance to live her life yet. Robin asked her something. Her brain knew it had to be important or he wouldn't have asked, but she couldn't take her eyes off of the lifeless girl. Her shaking hand reached out and gently closed the girl's open eyes, and looked up with tears in her own. Robin was asking about Naga? 'What did he have to do with this travesty? Naga would never have killed a helpless little girl who was so innocent. Naga would never do that.'

She looked up at Robin, salty rivulets still flowing down her now blank face as she warred with her emotions inside. Her heart was broken by the suffering around her, by the little dead girl whose head was still in her lap. But she was so angry. At Robin, at what ever had happened, at the police for not stopping it, at the titans for not saving them... At herself for not being able to help a little girl. Gently she placed the head n her lap on the ground, it felt so wrong to leave her that way, and stood ready to turn on Robin.

Completely oblivious to the changing shadows behind her. The little lass opened her mouth to tell off her traffic light leader, when the trap was sprung. He shot out of an alley, straight towards the commissioner. If she had been just three feet over she would have been crushed in that initial onslaught. "ANNET!" she screamed, terrified. In the blink of an eye Sun was there intercepting the rushing snake man, her adopted father, and buying Annet precious seconds.

The great eagle screamed and dove from the sky like a brown comet, talons out and beak open to rend flesh. The bird went for the eyes and muzzle, darting in an out aiming to harry the serpent man, while doing her best to avoid his tendrils, and distract him from his target. The betrayal was as instantaneous as his attack had been, and she summoned Charmer as fast as she could. There was no time to plead with the murderous monster, and now she had the deserving target for her sorrow turned rage. Ink and her second beast took to the skies, striking and biting and clawing at any vulnerable part of the snake man they could reach, though his thick scale protected him from most if not all of the damage her beasts could do. She could never forgive him for what he had done in cold blood.

In Jump City it usually wasn't the screams that attracted Robin's attention. Sure, in Gotham a scream was practically a Bat signal. Here, however, it wasn't quite as dangerous. Well...the dangers here were larger. The boy turned when he heard the scream. Sun had already flown to intercept the monster that looked like Naga and Annet was also following Ink's orders to do the same.

It was one of those days it was good that the team spent so much time training together. Robin raced over to where his teammates were currently locked in battle with a creature that resembled Naga with such startling likeness that even the apprentice to the World's Greatest Detective was fooled. For a time.

Ink was focusing the brunt of the aerial attack while Sun was busy trying to block the monster from getting to anymore civilians. As much as he would have liked to be in there throwing explosive disks and curb stomping monster face, he had people do deal with. Robin raced over to the commissioner’s side. She had her gun out, and he glanced at it distastefully.

“I need you and your people to evacuate this area. Get the civilians out. Get your people out. We can't do our job with people in the way,” the young leader informed her. She nodded and moved, with a limp, to go and inform her men.

The boy's mind then turned to his teammates. He suddenly had an idea. “Sun! Ink! Drive the monster back into the alleyway. Ink, stay above the buildings. Sun, alter your plasma so it can withstand a beating or get out of there when I give the signal.” he ordered over the communicators as he readied a few explosive disks from his belt.

He waited. Timing was everything in this sort of attack. He trusted his team could do it, though. He trusted his team to follow his orders. When the moment occurred Robin lobbed his disks, aiming them in lines of three going down each side of the alleyway in the hopes of collapsing it on the monster. Buildings mattered less than people. What was a couple million in construction compared to a few lives?

“NOW!” he gave Sun the warning.

He was so close, so close to spreading more chaos, more fear, and spilling more of the wonderful substance that lay within each and every mortal here. The commissioners screams would be music to his ears, a symphony of sound that only one of his pallet would be able to truly enjoy.

Then the world suddenly got a whole lot brighter, much, much brighter. And hotter too.

The monster that was Disgaia was forced back, the blinding light and heat of Sun's star not only preventing him from seeing but actually heating the metal and stone he was made of to the point of glowing. This was quickly followed by an aerial harassment of Ink and her two winged beasts. Although their attack was much less effective, their gunning for the head of the stone suit would find nothing to harm. The eyes that stared soullessly out being nothing more then a construct, while his eyes saw out them with a trick of mirrored metal much like a periscope. But the combined force of both Sun and Ink did force the stone serpent back into the alley. Then a cry from their leader caused the two to retreat from their assault.

Disgaia would have retaliated, until a rapid beeping drew his attention, turning the snakes head just in time to glance at the explosives Robin had launched. Then his vision was filled with light and fire as the charges went off.

In a torrent of fire and rubble the stone serpent was buried under almost a whole apartment building, with half of either building now on top of it. And all was silent if not for a moment, after all.

It hurts even more when the heroes think they have won.

Slowly, and at first quietly a mad chuckle began to emanate from the wreckage. The stone serpent rose strait through the wreckage, as if it were a part of it. Although it had been badly damaged by the blast, entire chunks missing in the chest and arms. Even half of the face of the Stone Naga was gone, and yet it still laughed like a madman.

"Oh you heroes.... Always swooping in and saving the day!" Another, much louder laugh boomed from the stone snake man. Echoing across the night as his laughter died down. "Well, at least for some people the day is saved." What remained of the serpents face formed into a monstrous grin, it's lone eye lolling to the side to stare at the piles of dead people that lay about.

More specifically on the one child that Ink had consoled.

"You call yourself a hero, and yet you are such a greedy creature...." The eye focusing on Ink as it spoke. "Not only were you not able to save an innocent life, but instead out of greed instead of ending her suffering you let her bleed out. Whispering in her ear, only to make yourself feel better about how helpless you were to aid the little one! When instead you could have simply ended her suffering!" Rock from the rubble began to merge with the snake body, restoring the lost pieces. As the face of the stone snake healed, the grin grew even more monstrous as it continued to speak. "And yet I'm the monster here...." Mad laughter once again echoed from the serpent. "I wonder.... Just what your parents would think of you, knowing what a horrid creature you have become!"

The most Ian ever encountered on a patrol (Usually anyway) were thieves, petty and pathetic, who waved the white flag as soon as they realized he was a Titan (Or got a good look at him, whichever came first). Almost always, he was in the wrong place at the wrong times and missed the bigger villains and the decent fights.

But this time, when the call went up? He was on mobile patrol, maybe five minutes from the scene.

Sliding to a stop at a red light (Angering the idiot behind him who'd planned on running it), Ian pulled out his communicator and listened a little more intently. His stomach churned with every word he heard, and even though he didn't have a light stomach ((Bry wonders if 'light stomach' is the correct phrase here, but is racing the internet and not bothering to look it up)), for a second he considered ditching and continuing on the patrol....

"Aye Ink here Sun on mae way now!"

And then she made his decision for him.

Spinning his bike around, Ian headed for the coordinates of the massacre, grumbling uselessly to himself about the duties of being a hero. Upon arrival, he literally cringed while he simultaneously dove off the bike and scanned the scene for either Ink or a clue as to what to do next. He tried not to look too closely at any of the lost souls clustered in a bloody mess across the road. His expectations hadn't been disappointed.

Unfortunately.

Blinking around, Ian located Ink, standing a little ways away from him beside Robin, and he jogged over to meet her.

Right before the serpentine monster dove out of the alleyway.

Ian skidded to a stop, watching gratefully as Ink stepped out of the way (Lucky break) and Sun stopped the now-visibly-metallic snake from disemboweling the commissioner. Robin was hollering orders into the communicator that Ian realized he was still holding, and Ink and Sun both acted accordingly. Being as he hadn't yet received an order (Because he hadn't yet made his presence known), Ian stood a little dumbly for a minute, watching the concrete creature being backed into the alley before Robin blew the crud outta the apartment buildings and buried the menace. Taking a breath, Ian resumed his jog and ended up by the team leader's side, though his eyes hadn't quite left the rubble in the alley.

"Hey, Robin, I'm--"

He wasn't interrupted, exactly, but Ian's words were lost when the destroyed building began to move once more. Ian crouched a little, wondering if this was a really unfortunately timed earthquake, but no such luck. The snake was rising.

'"Well," Ian said, mostly to himself as he watched the monster rise from the ashes (literally). It was.... He was.... Half missing? A great piece of the snake's face was completely lost, and he had holes gaping throughout his body. The whole sight was extremely mesmerizing in a horrific way, and Ian couldn't look away.

"That'sss.... Terrifying."

And then the snake spoke.

Ian's pale eyes darkened with every word the demon hissed, and his gaze flicked to find his girlfriend, astride Annet and being addressed by the villain (Because Ian's skin wasn't crawling enough with the scene before him). The snake hurled insults at Ink, unfounded and completely unbelievable, and yet Ian was compelled to yell out, to pull the creature's attention away from her.

He, however, managed a glance at Robin first, halfway to gauge whether the kid had a plan worked out yet or not.

(And halfway to keep himself from shouting his own insults idiotically back at the villain).

Sun:

The fiery fireball wasn't the only one responding to the giant serpent's attack. Ink's giant eagle swooped down moments after, clawing at the monster's face. Sun reached the policemen on time, engulfing the man in her protective plasma and burning the hell out of the aggressor. "Get out of here, before you suffocate." The police officer's expression switched in quick succession from fear, to surprise at not being incinerated to finally coming back to his senses and swimming out of Fran's plasma before running towards his boss.

The star-girl's attention was back on the serpent. This close, with her light on at its very maximum, she could see what the monster was made of. This isn't Naga. But Fran didn't have time to dwell on her guilt: Robin was giving an order, and her star was nowhere near dense enough. With a last blinding pulse of light, she got rid of some excess mass and then flew away as quickly as she could. Robin's explosives hit the fake Naga a few moments later, causing the nearby buildings to collapse on him. Sun hadn't quite managed to clear the area, and was forced to vaporize some of he concrete falling on top of her. Her body tensed as she was strained for a few moments. If she still had a breath, it would have been shallow and tired at this point. But moments later and her star infused Fran with new energy. Her body was back to normal.

And it seemed like they had won.

Sun was edging closer to Robin, awaiting orders, when the grim voice echoed through the ruins of the alley. As she turned around, the monster was back up, damaged but smiling. His voice cackled like that of a madman -a very happy madman- that started to throw a stream of insults at one Titan in particular: Ink. Fran's head turned around again as another serpentine figure appeared. Ian. Ink's friend.

Maybe he knew how to shut up his fake big brother.


Tsukihime:

Moirane was of course not privy to all of Disgaia's nightly activities. He had his own rythm, and it wasn't good anyway to communicate too much. That's why she was genuinely surprised when none other than her friend Gordon Goedfrey phoned her home: "Mizuki. Mizuki. Turn on the TV as quickly as possible!" It was the dead of the night. Gordon may not have woken up the Monares, but he was disrupting her moon-bathing. Her voice held a tinge of annoyance. The actress made sure to add a yawn. "Gordon, my dear: have you seen the time?" The cellphone just exploded with chatter as the man completely disregarded the woman's complaint. "It doesn't matter. Something terrible happened in downtown jump. I've already sent my crew. I think the Titans are covering up Naga's latest crime." The Japanese hologram Tsukihime was wearing frowned. "You know I don't completely share your view on the Titans..." Although having a friend like Gordon was invaluable. He dismissed her comment again. "Just turn on the TV and watch me in action." And with that he hung up.

The moon rabbit sat there for a little while, adapting her plans. Did Naga really get out of hiding? No, most likely this was Disgaia, and the Titans were fighting him. In either case, it is time for me to make an official appearance. Which meant going in public without her glamor. The woman let her moon crescent land on her roof top, then went to her apartment to remove her glamor and check up on the location of the fight on TV. Within a minute she was in the sky again, flying quickly to the scene.

The Monares arrived just as Robin yelled his orders and threw his explosives. Spotting her friend Ink in the middle of the fight, Tsukihime rushed to her side, turning her crescent into a shield of light as debris flew over their heads. Turning around to the artist, she said "I saw the news and thought you could need some help." Then things became very quiet. Tsukihime used the occasion -she doubted Disgaia was defeated quite yet- to approach Robin. "Robin." Would he recognize her? It didn't matter. "I should warn you that some reporters are filming us right now from across the street." Recognizing the layout from the TV, she pointed at the little dot that was Gordon.

Ink obeyed Robins orders, despite being filled with a nearly all consuming rage. Her eyes only saw what should have been the vulnerable parts of her traitor father, even though she was the one who had given him that title. Had trusted him with it. She had spent a lot of time with him and his daughter, she knew his basic anatomy and where to strike. But her beasts striking claws and gnashing teeth didn't have the desired effect. They didn't have any physical effect on him at all, it was like he was made out of stone, something her battle-rage filled eyes missed as her and her beasts dove, and swopped and maneuvered around the beast.

Together with Sun they drove the monster back, though ink stayed dangerously close until Robin shouted the word. With strong wing beats her and her two beasts cleared the buildings just in time for them to crash down on what had once been Naga. Suns blinding pulse of light behind them. With the battle over She turned her creatures and landed next to Robin, Ian, and Sun who were all thankfully unharmed. Out of the sky another friend appeared, her familiar face, and one of a kind alien bunny ears, a welcomed sight. "Tsu..." She said with a small somber nod, knowing that the actress had put herself in harms way to help them. There were tears in her eyes again, but they had no time to fall and she had no time to dismount off of Annet.

The rubble behind her started to move, the grinding moaning sound of heavy rubble moving, scraping, and rearranging alerting everyone that the fight was not yet over. Without a word to either young man next to her she spurred Annet back into the sky, hovering on the bird while Charmer moved over to Ian, nuzzling her serpentine head under his hand to get the message across that she was his to ride if he chose.

A maniacal laugh came from under the rubble as Naga shot up, back from the dead. Only it wasn't Naga, or at least not the real one. Half of him was missing, with chunks taken out of others, the stone monster that was impersonating her adopted father looked like a living statue of a shark attack victim, but that was only part of what made this new stone Naga so terrifying. Ink and her bird were rooted to the bit of the air column they occupied, to stunned and frightened to move more then a necessary wing beat as the true monster spoke. His words cut deeper then any wound she had ever been delt, but she turned her pain and fueled it into the rage growing in her heart.

"*Tá mé ag dul a bhriseadh tú, agus a dhéanamh tú íoc as a báis! Tá tú ag dul bás screadaíl! Feicfidh mé a dhéanamh cinnte de sin!" she screeched like a Scottish banshee, forgetting the threat of reporters at the monster's audacity to talk about his victim in such a way. With sure fingers she touched her largest beast page, and with the loud angry trumpet of a pachyderm Jayant charged off his page.

In the second it took for the beast to come onto the real world he was charging at full speed, swinging his thick strong tusks as he went roaring in the way that only an elephant knew how. Eight tons of ticked off megaderm was enough to ruin anyone's day. . In the narrow and destroyed alley she could see to way for the monster to escape her wrath.



*I'm going to break you and make you pay for her death! You're gonna die screaming! I'll make sure of that! (Inks kinda lost it just a smidge, that and I couldnt resist XD)

The Titans regrouped around their leader who stood tall in the clearing dust from the downed buildings. He was coated in a fine layer of powder, but his colors were just as vivid as ever. They were a symbol. A symbol as hopeful as the silence that followed the explosion. The debris settled and the young leader smirked in victory. In the immortal words of Cyborg: Booyah.

Someone was saying his name. The boy turned to see, not a teammate addressing him, but a woman he had never seen before. She was warning him about the reporters. He frowned, his masked eyes narrowing as he squinted into the distance at their blurring forms. “Let them,” he said bluntly and full of confidence. “We have nothing to hide.”

It was a bold statement punctuated by the sharp sound of concrete grating against itself as the rubble before them shifted aside. Robin's masked eyes widened as he turned to see what was happening. A giant stone serpent lifted up from the debris to give them a half formed smile. One thing was very clear: that wasn't Naga.

“No,” the boy breathed. But the stone Naga was back.

If there had been an obvious way to direct the stone monster's attention to him instead of Ink, Robin would have taken it in a heartbeat. That was why, after all, he wore the bright colors. He was the fall guy. He would rather take the pain then see it inflicted on his team. The boy's expression closed at the comments the broken serpent was making. There was no way the little artist was going to take this well. He had to figure out a way to diffuse the situation before he let Ink get manipulated.

Shut up. This was so not like Slade.

He turned his attention to Tsu. “Ma’am, I suggest you get out of here,” he tried to be polite about it, but it was clear that he didn't want her in his way. His attention then turned to Sun. “Sun, gain altitude and density. See if you can finish what we started.” he smashed his fist into his open palm, the crushing motion obvious. He'd seen her incinerate concrete. Why not a giant serpent? “That thing isn't alive. Let's make sure it stays down this time.”

With his orders given to Sun, his attention turned to Ink and Ian. Of course, this would be the perfect moment for Ink to summon an elephant-thing and charge off into battle without so much as a howdy-do. “Ian,” there was the slightest hint of urgency in Robin's voice as he turned to the snake-boy besides him. “I need you to calm Ink down. If she doesn't use her head...” he trailed off and shook his head sharply. He couldn't guarantee her safety if he couldn't predict her movements. Not that any of his team's safety could ever really be guaranteed. He was pretty sure Ian got the idea, however, as he flipped open his communicator.

“Sun report,” he said into the device, Ink's sudden charge had complicated things. He'd have to change his orders. “Change of plans. Wait until Ink is clear. Keep the line open.” he then opened the communication channel to Ink and Ian, if they were paying any attention. “If that thing tries to leave the alley we're going to have to head it off.” he warned.

The stone Naga continued to let out his maniacal laugh, the booming voice echoing across the sky even as Jayant's war trumpet pierced the air. The stone serpents gaze fell on the rapidly closing beast. "You call that a monster?" With a toothy grin, that literally began to grow as the stone body that Disgaia was wearing began to change shape. Re-bar and concrete rubble from the wreckage, as well as more metal and concrete shooting from the remaining buildings on either side of him quickly joined the mass. The serpent quickly doubled in thickness, changing from Naga's sleek aquatic design to that of a prehistoric brute. A pair of legs formed out each side of the body, causing the serpentine tail to rapidly shorten. Each massive leg ended with wicked metal claws, that dug in to brace for impact.

And with a mighty crash Jayant met with the monsters new form, their clashing might sending a small shock wave out kicking up a massive cloud of dust. In seconds the dust settled, only to reveal that the stone monster had not met Jayant in equal power, but was in fact slowly pushing the beast back. "Really? Tantor here is this the best you got?!" Two more pairs of arms sprouted from the stone monstrosities sides, making it look like some twisted male shiva beast. "This is a joke!" His voice silenced as the sound of splintering bones filled the air.

The new arms had grabbed on to Jayant's tusks, and snapped them clean off.

With the beast stunned, and the tusks cast to the side by the other arms. All six grabbed hold of the massive pachyderm and began to lift it off the ground.

And with a mighty heave, sending the beast flying back and over everyone. The creature crashing into the buildings on the other side of the street, probably heavily bruised from the impact. "You're gonna need a real monster to deal with me!" The monstrosity took a step forwards, eyes locking on the rest of the titans. "And this is only the beginning..." a dark chuckle echoing from the massive construct. "I'm gonna keep killing, keep butchering people of this city!" He laughed once more. "And all because I want to wrestle with the snake I look like, figured killing people looking like him would bring him out.... Or get the people of the city to hunt the beast for me. And until I get to fight that overgrown garter snake..... There's NOTHING you can do to stop me!"

The monstrosity leaned back and let out a bark of taunting laughter, taking it's eyes off of everyone there and opening it to assault.

Ian watched the monstrosity building itself back up, a look of stunned horror on his face. It wasn't everyday the Titans dealt with regenerating stone cold snakes, certainly not the size of this beast, and certainly not ones bent on butchering the entire freaking city!

(So, Toto.... Which way was back to Kansas again?)

Ian looked away from the demonic terror only when Kaitlyn (That feels weird to say. XD) began her own stream of shouting in tongues. He gave her a look, recognizing her words after a minute as something in Scottish, but darn it all if it made any sense to him. Like a puppy understanding by his master's tone that he should not eat the carpet, so also Ian figured out that his girlfriend was very much not in her right mind.

He paid a glance to Robin, nodding his acceptance and understanding, shouting a quick "On it, Chief!", and took off running in the direction Ink was hovering on Annet. He wasted a few seconds wondering how the frick he was gonna reach her (Because snakes + wings do not equal logic) before remembering Charmer and sliding to a stop to look back at the creature, and then back up at Ink.

He wasn't entirely keen on the idea of flight, especially on a beast with it's own mind, thoughts, and possibly agenda, but being as Charmer had wings and he didn't, he got over it. The only problem.... If Charmer was his ride this round, would she obey him? Or would she still be in tune to Ink?

(Apparently, he'd find out, one way or another....)

"Charmer, here!" he called, backtracking to hurry back to the dragon. He placed a hand on her shoulder in greeting, meeting her reptilian eyes for a moment. "Time to calm your creator," he informed her, and then leapt up and settled on her back. Nevermind that Kaie could take care of herself. Nevermind that he had no idea how to fight a column of angry hissing stone-and-rebar.

He'd tackle that later. Now, he pointed his eyes up at Ink, leaned forward over Charmer's shoulder blades, and hissed his own order.

"Fly!"

With a gust of downdraft, the dragon took off, aiming towards the little Scot in the air with Ian holding on to what little black fur he could grab a hold of to not fall to his doom on the concrete below. Within seconds, the dragon was beside Annet and Ian sat up a little straighter (Chanting mentally all the while, "Don't look down, don't look down, don't look down").

"Ink!" he called aloud, raising his voice above the double dose of rushing wind from Annet's feathers and Charmer's wings. "Ink, land Annet. You two needa get outta the way!"

Which, being half the truth, was all he was about to shout in front of the concrete cretin. He wasn't about to console her like a crying child in front of the monster. He wouldn't give the demon that satisfaction.... At least not until his menacing attention was turned elsewhere. Talk about adding fuel to the fire.

Ian cringed even before he looked down. In fact, he didn't bother looking down at all. He knew what the sound was, and though it turned his stomach, his eyes were still on his girlfriend. To gauge her reaction and her pain, to try and guess her thoughts and anticipate her next action.

This would be a delicate few minutes, if he couldn't get her out of the air. Lowering his voice, he spoke again. "Kaie.... Kaie, babe, you've got to land Annet...."
