Our local heroes have been keeping me busy this week. That's right folks, Jump City's paragons of virtue have been up to so many antics, I've barely been able to keep up. It truly is amazing.
Starting us off, we have the Teen Titans' resident firebrand Sapphire. The hotheaded heroine was seen sneaking off late at night, heading into one of the seedier parts of downtown Jump City. Police sources have confirmed that she wasn't up to any super-fighting, so what was she doing? Has she found a new backstreet beau? More on this story as it develops.
Our next story brings us from slum to swanky. I've written before about Starfire, and the shoddy job she's doing at hiding her identity as Kori Anders. The poor girl's trying, but there's only so much that can be done with a maskless costume, orange skin, and circular eyebrows. But today, the main focus isn't on her not-so-secret identity.
Earlier this week, students at Kingston's High Academy were surprised to see their alien classmate latch onto none other than Dick Grayson, ward of Gotham billionaire Bruce Wayne. Young Mr. Grayson seemed quite flustered, blushing bright as the poorly-disguised heroine all but dragged him to the roof. There, reports say, she abandoned all pretense of not being a superhero. Witnesses at the school saw what appeared to be the young couple flying away towards the Titans Tower, in each other's arms. More than just a base for our local hero squad, it seems our bay houses the world's only T-shaped love nest.
Last on the agenda, we have an entirely different kind of misbehaving. Robin was hauled into the station house in Jump City's 18th Precinct this past Wednesday night. Officers brought him to the front steps in a patrol car, and carried him in rather roughly to spend a night in a holding cell. The JCPD has declined to say why, although there is speculation that the Boy Wonder doesn't have a license for that T-Cycle of his. Whatever the reason, his superhero connections seem to have gotten him out of trouble.
Until next time, this is Cat Grant. Remember to send in photos, video, and eyewitness accounts, I couldn't do this without the help of loyal readers like you.
