Maggie Blythe wasn't what many would considered average. For one thing, she could translate any language, written or spoken, though she couldn't speak a word of them. She also lived in a world full of people with abilities similar yet different than her own with groups liked the Justice League and the Teen Titans to fight those who use their powers for evil. She was also friends with a girl who was going to be around 15 to 16 feet tall, who also happened to be a Teen Titan.
"Hey girly, its me Maggie. Im calling for an update on Beast boy as well as giving you a Maggie update: I met a boy! Well, hes super hunky and sweeter than honey but its way too soon to tell where this is heading. But i'll tell you more about him later, kay? Sooo whats up with you and the Beast Boy? Did you ask him? Did he say yes? Tell me all the details," Maggie said as she paced in her bedroom, not giving the poor giantess much room to talk as Maggie had a habit of motormouthing when excited or when she wanted answers.
Kaie was just full of good news today. She had asked the dashingly handsome Beastboy out, he had said yes, AND she had gotten Robin's permission to bring Maggie by the tower. She sat in her room at home, barely able to contain her excitement. She needed to tell someone.
Lucky for her, Maggie called right about then. Kaie barely had time to speak before Maggie steamrolled her. Apparently Maggie had her fair share of good news too. The giant let out a little squee when she heard her friend's good news. "Really? Oh, ye gotta tell me all about him!" Maggie was a charmer all right. Only in town a couple weeks, and she'd already found herself a dreamboat boyfriend.
Of course, Kaie couldn't wait to dish the dirt on her day. "Oh, it went great! Beastboy was real sweet, he got all embarrassed and stuttery when I asked. He said yes, o' course. And then I kinda hugged him an he got more embarrassed, but we're definitely gonna make a date soon!"
"His name is Brock, he is 6'4", very handsome, is super sweet, and has super strength." Maggie listed off, looking at her nails as she plopped down on her bed, her smile evident in her voice.
Course, she hopped right back up when Kaie said that Beast Boy said yes, giving out a squeal of joy. "I knew it! Ooh I told you that he would say yes, didn't it?" Maggie said happily as she began pacing her bedroom, needing to move while talking on the phone.
"Daw, thats soo cute! So, where do you think the date is going to take place?" Maggie asked, curious on what Kaies plans where.
"Way ta go Maggie! What, two weeks in town and ye already caught yerself a super lad." Kaie was pretty impressed. This Brock sounded like quite a catch. She wondered who this mystery man was. If he was showing off the super strength with his civilian name he was either pretty careless or didn't have a secret identity. Maybe his powers were new, she hadn't heard of a super Brock.
The giantess sat down on her bed, lying back. She didn't really flop onto things much at her size, but this was as close as she could safely come. "I dunno, I were thinkin probably dinner and a movie. You know, classic date. Still gotta figure out a thing or two." Kaie got a big grin on her face. "What bout you? Ye got plans with Brock?"
"Well its not anything official really. I just met him and stuff," Maggie said modestly, swelling up with some pride in how impressed Kaie seemed to be at how quickly she had met a cute guy.
Is that a chipped nail? Maggie thought as she looked carefully at one of her nails as she listened to Kaie talk about what she was planning on doing on her date with the lil green man Beast Boy. "Classic is always good. If they're any good ones out, try goin and seein a horror movie. Gives you an excuse to hold onto them during the movie," Maggie advised, knowing from experience. As Kaie asked about her own future plans with Brock, Maggie smiled. "We've made plans to meet each other tomorrow mornin at the beach for a swim. Nothin really big unless he has something in mind, " Maggie said, still working on what swim suit she should wear tomorrow. She needed to look fantastic and wasn't going to settle for just okay.
Kaie laughed, shaking her head. "No, Maggie. I can lift a bus, I don't wanna set off my startle reflex around BB. Tha could be bad." It was one of the unfortunate things about her size and strength. She'd always been interested by horror movies, but by the time she was old enough to see them she was strong enough that a panicked flail from a jump scare could cause serious damage to the house. For everyone's sake, both her and Ma had agreed it was better if she steered clear of them. "Maybe an action movie, get tha blood flowin. Could be fun."
A private swim? Kaie's mind was going all sorts of places there. She wondered if Maggie had the same intentions that she would. She had the feeling that her southern fried friend was a bit more innocent than she was. "Ooh, sounds fun. Ye seen him in a swimsuit yet?" she teased.
Kaie brought up a very good and important point with that. "Okay, so stay away from horror films. Got it. Maybe a comedy or action film then would do you better," Maggie stated, picturing what would of happened if Kaie had seen a horror movie with Beast boy and then flinching.
That would really hurt.
"Not yet, but I'm working on it. Should be tomorrow, in fact. Fudge, i'm trying to pick out something to wear but nothin is screaming perfection yet," Maggie sighed, tempted to go on a quick shopping trip to find a new swim suit for tomorrow.
"Yeah, there's gotta be somethin cool out. Imma have a look later." she said, making a mental note to check the schedules later. They would probably have to go at a less crowded time. They both kinda stood out in a crowd, and she would need a bit of extra space at the theater.
"Yeah, you get him girl! Gotta pick somethin good. Ye got a few, right?" The giantess laughed. "Lucky! Was hard enough fer me jus gettin one!" She was still amazed that Ma had even let her get one, but it had been totally worth it. Beastboy seemed to like it, at least.
"Totally and if you need to, take him to a bad movie that way you two can laugh about how bad it is later." Maggie stated, before frowning and adding, "Course, you might want to make sure that he knows its a bad movie too or else it will be awkward." Been there, done that, Maggie thought before trying to think of what else she should bring up for Kaies date with the green shapeshifter.
Maggie burst out laughing as Kaie told her to get him. "Trying to! Course, if this doesn't work doesn't mean I can't find anyone else. Cause hes what, one out of a million boys in this city? " Maggie guessed, though she wasn't bothering in doing the math to figure out how many where single, around her age, or attractive looking. Math wasn't her thing. "What? Yeah, I do. I just need it to be perfect, which is harder said than done. " Maggie said, frowning as she realized how difficult it must of been for Kaie to get her one. Had to of been specialized or something.
"I dunno bout that, maybe jus see a good movie. Maybe The Wolverine, that looks like fun." Kaie was a big action buff, and she had the feeling BB would be too. He seemed to have the personality for it. "No awkwardness there, right?" Okay, maybe it was a little odd for a superhero couple to see a superhero movie, but she didn't care too much about that.
The giant echoed Maggie's laugh. The girl had a good outlook. She wasn't getting too hung up on him. Sure, it would be nice if they ended up together, but Maggie seemed ready to just move on if he turned out to be a heartbreaker. "Yeah, plenty of other options. A bunch of other supers, too. If this don't pan out, I can still set ye up with one." There was a mischievous edge to Kaie's voice. Playing matchmaker was fun, she hoped to get to do it more often. "Don' worry, ye can find the perfect one. Yer gonna knock 'im dead!"
"The Wolverine? Hm, two superheroes going to see a superhero movie. I don't think it would be awkward. Might actually be interesting," Maggie admitted, thinking it over. It would be an interesting sight to see, two superheros at a superhero movie. They could talk about how realistic it is or whatever superheros think about those type of movies Maggie thought, biting her bottom lip.
"Very true. Who you thinking of?" Maggie asked, honestly curious on who Kaie had in mind. For who wouldn't be curious? There are alot of cute guys on the team!
Kaie grinned, thinking over her options. There were just so many Titans, and so many of them were attractive. It seemed to be a theme with supers, there were almost no ugly ones. That went double for the heroes for some reason. "Well lessee, there's a few. For starters, I'm pretty sure Cyborg is single right now. Then there's Speedy, he's a bit more of a ladies' man. Ghostdance, a wolf boy, not sure if he has anyone right now but I don't think so." She mulled it over. For some reason, there were a lot more female Titans than male these days. It had flipped from the original arrangement, with a mostly-boy team.
"Vincent, but I hear he's pretty shy. And lemme think, there's Lagoon Boy if you don't mind a little exotic. I used to have such a crush on him!" Kaie laughed. She was kind of glad she hadn't met him yet, it might have been awkward to talk about that. "Not sure about any others, but there's probably some I missed."
Cyborg? Speedy? Maggie had to open up her laptop and google image search to remind herself who exactly they were. Most of the images were blurry or badly taken, but at least they help Maggie remember who was who. They probably make sure there aren't any super bad pictures or videos of them Maggie thought, exiting out of them all.
"Wait, isn't Lagoon boy the fish-y guy? Like, the one who looks like hes from the movie It Came From The Black Lagoon or something like that?" Maggie asked, grimancing. He was scary looking, at least to her. Of course, hearing that Kaie used to have a crush on the guy didn't help, though it did make Maggie question her taste in guys. Lagoon Boy and Beast Boy? Someones got a type... She thought as she smiled. "Hey, don't worry about it too much. I have a good feeling about Brock and maybe we can double sometime." Maggie suggested, though she wasn't sure what Brock would think of it. Ill convince him Maggie thought, smirking.
Maggie seemed a little skeptical about Lagoon Boy. Kaie had to admit her own tastes were a little unusual, but still, Lagoon Boy was pretty cute. "I mean sure, he's fishy, but good-lookin fishy. Kinda cute, real athletic, an I hear he's real nice too." Kaie was a little defensive about him, but she felt she had to stand up for the oddities.
Kaie got a big grin at the idea of a double date. She was a bit curious about what kind of guy Brock was in person, and she kind of wanted to show off Beastboy a little. Was that bad? She wasn't entirely sure. "Sounds great! I'll talk ta BB, I can talk him into it." She was pretty sure she could talk him into just about anything. His brain sort of melted whenever she hugged him, she could get him to agree to anything then.

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
