Starfire could have done this in person, but she did not know where Batgirl was located at present and they were not the 'close friends' that they could be. She was lying on her bed with her head hanging on the edge; her default texting position it seemed. 

[TEXT] Hello Batgirl this is Starfire. I have acquired your number from Cyborg I hope you do not mind. [SENT 1:23pm]

[TEXT] I AM TEXTING YOU BECAUSE I FEEL WE HAVE NOT BEEN SPEAKING AND AS TEAMMATES IT WOULD BE PRUDENT--[SENT 1:27PM]

[TEXT] FORGIVE ME I AM NOT SHOUTING I JUST DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TURN THE UPPERCASE OFF [SENT 1:28PM]

Starfire tried in vain to turn it did not work. 

[TEXT]REGARDLESS I WOULD LIKE TO ARRANGE A HANGING OUT. ARE YOU AVAILABLE TODAY PERHAPS? [SENT 1:29PM]

[TEXT]WOULD THE AMUSEMENT PARK BE FINE? [SENT 1:30PM]

She was reading up on some medical terminology when the loudest noise came from her hip.

DODO DEDO DE DO DO DEEEE

The librarian did the obligatory "SHHHHHHH!" With her finger to her lips at Barbara and she just scowled back. She had never really used this thing before, and all of a sudden it was going off? She picked it off of her hip and turned the volume completely down and the vibrate function on before reading the message. Why was Starfire randomly texting her? Didn't she know that she'd be back at the tower later? Like every normal team member?

She rolled her eyes and went back to reading her book. Five minutes later, it went off again. It looked like an incomplete message, and why was it in all caps? Barbara just rolled her eyes and set the T-comm on the table next to her book before going back to where she left off. She ignored the next time it buzzed, but after it buzzed a couple more times, she finally just gave up and opened it. After reading the few messages, she furrowed her brow in confusion. She and Starfire hadn't really gotten along ever since she joined the team waybackwhen. But "A HANGING OUT"? Well, it was worth a try. She didn't really hate the girl after all. It was more of a "friendly" competition over Robin, really. But she had pretty much given up on the guy a ways back, since she knew that was going absolutely nowhere. I guess it won't hurt. She shrugged and typed back.

[TEXT] Hey Starfire, no I don't mind that Cyborg gave you my number. We should have every teammate's number anyways. I WOULD LIKE TO ACCEPT YOUR OFFER OF HANGING OUT. WE SHALL MEET AT THE AMUSEMENT PARK. WHEN DO YOU WNAT TO MEET? [SENT 1:31pm]

She smiled to herself while hoping Starfire wouldn't be offended. It's not like she was intentionally making fun of the girl. She was just trying to make it a little less awkward by adding some humor, but she was doubtful that Starfire would even pick up on it. Oh well. It was funny to her at least. Picking back up her book, she returned to the passage where she had left off.

When the sound went off on her phone Starfire lunged forward and picked it up, rolling on her back and staring at the reply. Ah! Did her letters get stuck too? This seemed to be a common problem among phones. It did not seem that she was shouting at her. In fact, it looked quite familiar, the way she typed it.

Surely this was just a coincidence.

[TEXT] ARE YOU AVAILABLE FOR 3 O CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON? :^D [SENT 1:33PM] An hour and a half seemed like sufficient time to arrive at the amusement park wherever she may be present. They were Titans after all, when there was trouble (or fun) they answered the call promptly!

Starfire wasn't a quick texter, apparently. At least the alien was faster than some old people. She could remember when her father first started texting. He was just about as bad, but it took him twenty minutes to say "Hello". It was kind of funny that the teenager from another planet would be better at texting than an old human. Babs picked up the communicator and finally closed the monster of a book and leaned back in her wooden chair to read the text. Three o'clock? At least it gave her enough time to change into her uniform and stash these civvy clothes.
