Caitlin's head fell forward onto the keyboard, leaving an unintelligible string of letters on the screen. She looked at it out of one eye, then sighed and sat up, pressing the backspace key much harder than necessary. The accompanying crunching sound made her wince. Getting around the school's web filters, that she could respect. Getting crumbs in the keyboard, much less so.
She was tempted to sneak in a few loopholes--the school's filters were strict bordering on draconian--but since this was, as of right now, one of her only decently-paying jobs, she preferred to keep it. As mind-numbing as it might be. She pulled out her phone, checking her texts for at least the tenth time in the last half hour, rolling her eyes at herself.
Leaning back on her chair, she stared around the room, now officially ignoring the job she was supposed to be doing. Times like these, she really wished she were paid by the hour.
Ecto peeked in through the ceiling, upside down so only his torso appeared in the room. It was late, the sun had set a while ago, and Caitlin was hovering over her computer, as usual.
"You look bored," he commented, eyeing her backspace key. That weird crunching sound was bothering him. He needs to fix it.
He made the key float off of her keyboard, away from her computer from right under her nose. Then he fished around with his telekinesis and found the crumbs, pulling them out of the machine and dropping them on the floor.
Caitlin screamed, her chair falling backwards. She scrambled up, rearranging her hair and trying to recover what was left of her dignity.
"Much, thanks," she said airily. "I'm not even going to bother asking you if that was necessary."
She sat back down in her chair and looked blankly at the screen. Any concentration she'd managed was gone at this point, and, truth be told, she was grateful for the interruption. Not that she'd tell him that.
"So, bothering the hardworking citizens of the city as usual?" she asked, craning her neck to look up at him.
"Of course," Ecto said lightly with a wave of his hand. "Wait... is that not my job?"
He smirked at her, lowering himself from the ceiling and turning so he was upright.
"Those crumbs were bothering you. Don't even lie. They were bothering me too. Now it's all better and we're both happy."
He grinned obnoxiously before exploring the room. It was small and dim. Kind of cramped.
"I think it could stand to be darker in here..." Ecto held a hand out towards the lamp and it flickered off so the only light in the room was from the window, her screen, and his own glow.
"Ahh," he sighed like he was sipping lemonade on a hot summer day. "That's better, don't you think?"

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
