[Before joining, please see the plot page ( teen-titans-go-guild.proboards.com/thread/1560/roll-initiative?page=1&scrollTo=9376 ) and sign/post there so I know you know what's going on. To former sign-ups, I added details to how the dice will work so you might want to check it out again.]
The sun was shining and there wasn't a cloud at all in the blue sky. Ysolda the peasant felt right as ease to milk the family cow as her young son, Igrivar collected the harvest of potatoes they'd been working on for several seasons now. Life was hard living in the lower class society in the kingdom of Controlia, but she made it work. As she retrieved the milk, she was startled when her young daughter, Stephanie came out of their cottage in a fuss. Ysolda hoped she would find a nice working boy to marry at some point and allow for her and your husband Motivar to grow old and cared for. "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON, WHAT AM I DOING IN THESE RAGS, AND OH MY GOODNESS, WHAT IS THAT THING?" Stephanie screamed out in a fuss.-
"Quit meta-gaming! You're supposed to go with it!"
"Go with it?! I'm dressed like someone in my history books!"
"If you don't stop, I'm going to put a negative modifier on your dice."
"I don't even know what that means!"
"Just play the game or you'll regret it!"
"Fiiiiine."
The world suddenly went back into motion as Stephanie crossed her arms and pouted in front of her mother. "Oh no, "mother", what is that horrible thing approaching us," Stephanie groaned using her fingers to airquote the word mother. Ysolda turned and gasped at the sight of a large reptilian creature in the sky floating with large powerful wings and breathing fire upon the neighboring village.
"By the gods! It's a dragon!" Ysolda yelled with utter dismay pointing dramatically at the creature. "There hasn't been a dragon in these realms in over a million years!"
"Oh no, this is absolutely terrible, whatever shall we do," Stephanie groaned continuing her incredulous tone.
"The only way the dragons could be defeated is by the decendents of the ancient heroes who vanquished them those million years ago!" Ysolda said before fainting, prompting her husband to retrieve her.
"Of course, why did I expect anything different," Stephanie sighed. Against her 'father's' pleas for her to return to the home, she ran outward towards the rampaging dragon, soon noticing some familiar faces doing the same thing.
This whole thing had begun what must've been yesterday. Stephanie had managed to get a tip on a mass Titans reaction to an attack by Control Freak. Apparently he had developed some manner of reality alteration device and intended to plunge the city into a real life Godzilla movie. Il es no bueno for many reasons. Upon getting there, her, the titans, and several other heroes found themselves trapped within the building supposed to contain the device and were hit with a type of sleeping gas. Next thing Stephanie knew, she was in this bizarre medieval world with some bizarre fake mother and father taking care of her, and worst of all, Control Freak narrating the whole thing.
She had figured now that this had to be the reality alteration device Control Freak had created. Whether the civilians here were actual brainwashed Jump City civilians, she didn't know, but she wasn't willing to take the chance of them getting hurt. If she remembered reality though, than she was sure the other heroes did as well and probably thought the same thoughts about the civilians. She was a little frustrated she had to fight a virtual dragon in these horrible rags, but beggers can't be choosers. Plus Robin was probably going to chew her out... if he recognized her voice. She realized in this position, her face was completely visible. That could be concerning, but that wasn't important right now.
After the long run over to the next village over, (18)(That was oddly short...) Stephanie stopped and suddenly had a realization. "I don't know how to fight a dragon," she said to herself, her eyes going wide as the dragon looked at her and flexed it's jaw. With a breath, the dragon released a chasm of fire in her direction. Stephanie made to dodge the flame (3) but managed to completely fall over and get engulfed in flames. The flames hurt like real flames, but upon sitting up and looking at herself, she found her body hadn't actually experienced any permanent scars. It seems like the dragon and landscape, the pain was simulated as well. It still hurt though. That was not at all pleasant. Struggling to even stand up, she hoped one of the heroes she'd saw on her way could help her up.
