Double Date

Kaie was running a little early for once. She'd planned this little event, and everything had to be perfect. Normally that would mean huge amounts of procrastination followed by a last-second scramble, but the giantess was learning. Some things took time, and she was starting to set aside the time to do them right.

It took a little bit to find a good spot. Somewhere out of sight near the theater, but not too sketchy-looking. If she stepped out of some shady back alley after this, it would look kind of odd. Finally, she settled on a nice out-of-the-way corner of a nearby dog park. Not many people around, and it gave some nice scenery for her +1 to arrive in. Kaie focused on the little crystal in her hand, activating the teleport beacon.

These things came in really handy. It was certainly easier than sneaking Vincent out in her backpack whenever they wanted a date. As soon as the magical boy appeared, she scooped him up into a hug. "Ready fer tha movie, Vincent?" Once the hug was done with, she set him on her shoulder and headed off towards the theater. It was only a block, they'd have plenty of time.

Kimber Fowl takes another look at herself, at her reflection on the mirror. Conventionally located within the cinema lobby. A smart attempt to distract people who were waiting in a long queue or for their date. She wore long blue denim dress with green pockets and a belt. Match with a pair green knee-length boot with blue trim. With her hair tie into a high ponytail. For accessories, she wore matching green bracelets and hoop earrings.

She began to wonder if she had underdress or overdress it. In the mid December, the weather was changing to a much colder climate. Inviting the snow and cold winter breeze. Marking the winter month. She was left to debating with herself. Whether to dress less or more layer? Dress to battle the winter cold or dress sexy right for the date? Then more questions started to flood in, and soon she started to ask herself. Whether her makeup and outfit would match, or would it be appropriate for date venue and yada-yada.

Honestly, this kind of issue was never an issue for her....not that much.  Maybe the real question was, how has she gotten herself into this?

When her fellow teammate and best friend Kaie invited her, to join her and Vincent, on a double-date-AND-blind-date package deal. She couldn't say no to her. Maybe, because Kaie was pretty good, coaxing her into it. She wonders whom did she learn it from? Robin?

But the idea of going on a blind-date, got her nervous. Like an ice cube, she could just freeze up. Then melt in some strange guy’s drink. Okay, maybe that's not the quote she was looking for, but you get the idea. She was nervous. Nerve racking nervous! Well, she has been on a couple dates, here there. Flirt with a couple cute guys and boys.

So, here the question. Why was this any different? Honestly, she has no idea.

Maybe because someone else was picking the date for her, and she has no control over it. OR probably it was something else entirely. She can’t put her mind on it. On what?

Maybe she think too much....or the universe could be telling her something.

It had been two days since Vincent entered the coffee shop, asking Khaldi what he called "a special favor". Now, the coffee barista stood in front of the movie theater, studying the available movies. They had probably picked a movie already, but hey, he could always come back later and check other movies out. Like that samurai one. That looked cool. That mafia one too... eh, all in due time. He was dressing pretty casually, with jeans, sneakers, a white t-shirt and a brown bomber jacket. Nothing too out of the ordinary. All things considered, he was awfully calm about it all. Most people would have plenty of questions, like how did the guy with no money suddenly get the cash to go to the movies, who was his date, who was Khaldi's own date, stuff like that. Asking these questions, however, wasn't Khaldi's modus operandi - He had always been a "wait and see" kind of guy. All questions would be answered in due time, so what's the point of lingering on them? Worrying was too boring.

...Though honestly, he was a bit curious about who his date was. When Vincent asked him for a double date, he figured he'd have to invite his own date, and he was about to make a suggestion when his buddy said they had it covered already. That sure did simplify things, all things considered, though it added the elements of a blind date into the mix. Not that he minded, but eh... guess he'd have to wait for the duo to arrive before he knew who he was supposed to woo that night.

Tonight was going to pretty exciting, and it was definitely going to better than sneaking around the house. This way Vincent could spend time with Kaie and not have to worry about someone walking in on them. He could always just teleport before they were spotted anyways, but it was better to be relaxed and not always looking out. Vincent did understand the need for such caution, so tonight's easy going was very welcome by the blacksmith.

Vincent had been sitting in his room waiting for Kaie's signal. Ever since moving in he had modified the crystal he had given Kaie to make things easier. All she had to do was activate it to let him know he could teleport to a location, and it was still easier than using cell phones. Vincent had not gotten the hang of those yet. All of that would come in time, but that was not of importance as the crystal on his necklace gave off a bright blue light.

All it took was a split second before his body was immersed in the silver light, and Vincent materialized in front of Kaie. There was a bit of a surprise when Kaie scooped him up into a hug, and he hugged her back. Well, as best he could. There was a bit of a flush on his face since he was still not completely used to that.

"Lets get this started!" he said excitedly before Kaie set him on her shoulder. "I just hope Coffee man brought more of that special flavor. It was pretty awesome."

Kaie suppressed a laugh. Vincent was just so adorable when he blushed like that, and it was something he did pretty frequently. He was from another time, with more clothes and less hugging. It was understandable that he'd get flustered a lot. All the more reason for Kaie to mess with him like that. He seemed comfortable enough with it, and it was pretty fun watching his reactions. "Awright, les' go!" Kaie strolled off with the boy on her shoulder.

She saw Kimber as soon as she got to the theater, and it was a safe bet her friend saw her too. "Hey Kimber!" she smiled ear to ear, waving the girl over. She knelt down so her friend could get a look at Vincent, and so the boy could hop down if he wanted. "I don' think ye've met Vincent yet. Vincent, this is Kimber. She's one of me friends from school. Kimber, I told ya bout Vincent." said Kaie with a playful smile. Kimber had given her some tips on wooing Vincent, some more scandalous than others.

Kaie didn't recognize the coffee guy that Vincent mentioned. She hadn't met the guy, but hopefully he'd see Vincent on her shoulder and be able to find them. "Ye see the coffee lad, hon?"

Kimber Fowl couldn't be any happier to see the sight of Kaie. And about time! Where were they like 5 seconds ago? Not that, she was complaining.

"Hey guys!" She walks towards them. She was just glad to see them. And finally, meet Kaie man. "I think we have met one another, around the tower. We just haven't been properly introduced." She then held her hand to Vincent. "It's nice to meet you. Kaie spoke nothing but good things about you. And the name is Kimber Fowl. Or you know me better as..." She lean him to him to whisper in his ear. "Silverwing...." She then puts back and smile.

Speaking about her date. Where is he?

"He better be cute, good looking and not an air head! Or else I'm leaving..." She crosses her arms together
