All things considered, it had been a pretty productive night. Normally Businessman would have handled negotiations like this, but Gaunt felt that his Nos persona had given some added menace to back up his side of things. After some talk, the Triads had agreed to back down for the time being. It wasn't much, but for now there was a truce at least. Gaunt couldn't help thinking that the whole "massacring their men with his bare hands" incident had helped influence that. They'd lost quite a few troops, and the idea of another confrontation with Nos didn't really appeal to anyone.
Gaunt stepped outside, leaving the club behind him. It wasn't exactly a high-end place, more of a sleazy dive where his ilk would be welcome. Those places were few and far between, so he went for it whenever he could. It kind of reminded him of that place he had a racket with back in his early LA days. Gaunt missed that joint. It was a good place to lay low, but sadly it didn't survive the collapse of the goth fad. It was a cutthroat business, and his old partner just hadn't adapted well enough to keep up. The vampire shook his head to chase the nostalgia away, and started off down the alley.
