The woods weren't entirely uninhabited. There were some sections of the great outdoors that had been well-enough 'colonized' for human use, but not terribly so. Cemeteries, for example, were a prime candidate for being placed in the woods, due mostly in part to the vast space they took up; Jump City was a very urban, very modern place, Agatha would always say, and with it's population and advances in day-to-day living standards, it was more 'efficient' to bury bodies in the less urbanized areas. Sure, there were graves and plots inside the city as well, but most of the dead were buried out in the forests, where there were leveled, designated areas for cemetery graves.
And that worked just fine for Alexandria Guerra, who required quite a few bodies for her 'studies'. At the very least, it certainly was much easier to dig up six feet of dirt than to actually go out and kill someone; At least, that was what Agatha told her. And so, deep in the forests of Jump City she, and her trusty shovel, were hacking away at the ground. Dirt stained her clothes, though it wasn't too obvious-- A benefit of darker colors. Her face was a smudgy mess, though; Sweat, snow and dirt from her work gloves mixing to give her an almost meticulously painted pattern of brown and black on her face.
She needed a body. Necromancy was, surprisingly, coming along nicely, but the price was quite a few bodies; After all, she was still working on the whole 'banishing the dead' bit. In fact, once she restrained this body, maybe she'd work on that today! It'd certainly help to deal with the veritable horde accumulating nearer to her home. The age of the body didn't really matter; They all turned out old and decrepit, no matter how hard she tried to focus on a preserved soul. Necromancy was coming along nicely, but only just.
