It was a dark and peaceful night. So quite. The only thing that could be heard, was a gentle breeze, skipping through the park, brushing through the leaves within the trees. The park was deserted. With the exception of one or two late night joggers and a young boy resting on a park bench. Brian gazed up at the stars as they shined proudly above the city. The young boy struggled to decipher the constellations within the ocean of stars. He had read about them within his books and could visualize the diagrams within his head, but still found it difficult to pin point even one.
He let out a dejected sigh, before rolling over onto his side, trying to drift off into a deep sleep. It's been five days since he arrived in this busy city. Five days, since he last saw Ms. Sierra. He felt so lost without her.. So sad. Yes, so crossed with her. How could she do that to him? Just leave.. No! ABANDONED him! And she drugged him! So he wouldn't fight back. Never giving him a chance to beg and plead for her to take him with. She said it was for his own protection. He had to remember that she did care for him. Hopefully, she knew what she was doing. He wanted to believe that she would return for him but with every passing day that hope began to gradually diminish.
Brian laid there on the park bench. His eyes growing heavier with every passing second. There were so many things swirling through his mind. Perhaps some sleep would help clear up his head. When finally giving into sleep, it seemed to have lasted only a few minutes, when in reality it was a couple of hours. Brian's eyes shot wide open at the screeching of tires against pavement. Followed by loud sirens in the distance. He lifted his head, and could see the flashing lights across the park. Something was going on over there but whatever it, it was best left alone.
He rose into a sitting position, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, feeling annoyed. "This is a lousy sleeping spot.. This bench is uncomfortable. And it's too noisy to fall asleep!" He screamed, even though there was nobody to hear him. Or so he thought. There were two things that Brian really liked and needed. Otherwise could be rather vicious if his needs weren't met. His books and his sleep were very important to him. He jumped onto his feet, knowing full well he wouldn't be going back to sleep. Still feeling annoyed, he decided that it would be best to let loose some of that irritation. "Time to practice!" he announced, slamming the bottom of his right fist, into the palm of his other hand.
"First, things first! I'm gonna need some targets. Let's see.. what can I use?" he asked himself. He noticed a recycling bin not too far away and knew he found his targets. He slid his arm into the dispensing hole, pulling out a few cans. "These should do." He collected the cans within his arms and ran across the field, losing a can or two. Ignoring the sign that clearly said, "NO LITERING!" Once at the playground he placed the cans in various locations. One at the top of the swirly slide, two over by the swing set, four on the roundabout, and three on the see saw.
Brian took in a deep breath, getting himself into the proper mode. The moon light bounced off each can through out the park, as well as Brian's shimmering silver eyes. "Go!" He grabbed at his sleeves, pulling multiple sheets of paper from his outfit, holding them between is fingers. He pulled a quick 180 spin, along with a wave of his wrist, throwing three sheets of paper at the cans on the see saw. All three cans were hit dead on, slicing them in half. "Accuracy, still at 100%! Next, creative strategy." Even though it seemed empty at the park, Brian wasn't fearful of exposure. He was unaware of the consequences.
