This was damned inconvenient. Except for 7-11 and a few liquor stores, nobody kept his kind in mind when setting their hours of operation. Even in the dead of winter, this little flower shop had closed well before sunset. At five, according to the sign. At least this was an live-in shop. He'd had his Renfields keep an eye on the shop, the owner definitely lived in the apartment above.
Getting in would be easy. He'd gotten through better security than this. Gaunt ducked into an alley, shimmering from sight. He didn't want to go invisible on the sidewalk where anyone could see it happen, that would be too suspicious. It was better to vanish when he was already concealed in shadow. Gaunt took out a set of lockpicking tools and strode across the street, ready to set to work.
In moments, he was inside. The lock had been simple enough, pretty standard for small businesses like this. He heard a jingle as the door swung open. Again, pretty standard. Most mom-and-pop stores had those little jingly bells to announce customers. It was fine by him, he wanted her to know he was here. They had to talk. Gaunt shut the door behind himself and appeared in a puff of smoke.
The moment Gaunt step into the store. Walking past a tall potted plant. It quietly grab him by the both ankle. Turning him upside down and ensnaring him into its branches.
"Well...well...look what the cat drag in?"
Poison Ivy stepped out from the shadow. Wearing a one-piece-strapless green bathing suit that are covered in leaves. With her hair tie back into a messing bun. She paused to laugh.
"I had always wanted to say that, you know. Oh, maybe should I say like this instead. What did mummy previous little-baby caught for her?" As she spoke in baby-talk as she shows her affection to her child. "...a..." She paused for a moment to study her ensnare victim. "A very ugly old man..." There was a look of disapprove on her face, with a hint of disappointment written across her face. "You serve me no fun. And you have no use for me..." She turns her back on him and starts to walk off
"Kill him..."
The plant started to un-root itself. Taking a few steps to a human-sized, carnivorous plants, Venus Flytrap. It mouth split open. Reviewing it's razor sharp teeth. Preparing itself to feast on flesh and blood.
Okay, now he was upside-down. This was unexpected. Gaunt was internally smacking himself. He should have figured plant girl would have plant guards, of course she would. He'd have to be more careful in the future. Gaunt had gotten complacent in Jump City, nothing he'd found so far here had been on par with the unstoppable monstrosities he'd faced back in the day in LA. He had to get cautious again before Jump upped the ante on him.
Ivy stepped into sight, and she was dressed to impress. Gaunt idly wondered if all supers made their own clothes. The idea of Robin or Superman laboring over a sewing machine amused him, and a slight grin crossed his face. At least Ivy had her powers, she could make a uniform without looking silly or undignified. "This one hell of a funny-looking cat." he said, gesturing to the plants that were holding him up. Oh god, now she was trying out different types of gloating. He supposed even Blofeld and Goldfinger had to start somewhere, but it was kind of embarrassing to see it in action.
His face soured when she called him old. Well, soured more. It was never too sweet to begin with. "Oi!" he barked at her. "I'm not too far past thirty." Normally for his kind older was better, but being mistaken for an old mortal was just insulting. He wasn't wrinkly, just ugly as all hell.
Oh, and now he was being taken to the giant Venus Flytraps. Just wonderful. The vines holding him were strong, too strong for a human to break. Lucky for Gaunt, he wasn't human. The vampire pulled himself up to grab the vines, tearing them like paper. He fell hard on the floor, landing on his back. Not the most dignified landing, but he was tough enough to shrug it off. "I came here to offer you long-term work, not to be eaten. Got a moment to talk?"
Poison Ivy could care less what the old man had to say. Ignoring his babble in between their conversation. He was a dead man the moment he stepped into her store, with an ill intend and especially after operating hours. If he was a customer, he should had make a call. Or book an appointment to with her. She was after-all a very busy lady, with a ton of to do list. Like:-
Hit list to plan and execute.
Concocting untraceable deadly potion. Harvest from her poor-poor babies.
Pay her customer a visit, who are especially late for her payment. Hey, her works ain't cheap. It was a work of art, and it came with a high-high price.
And her list goes on and on. It was a job truly love. Coming third before gardening and, botany was Toxicology studies. Tilting her head aside. Waiting for the girly cry of a typical useless man.
Instead, she flick. With her face engulf horror, by the cry of her child. Turning to face the old man. She launch forward at him with extreme hatred and anger. A whole kick-ass mother fury. "YOU MONSTER..." She yell as she punch him in the face. "DON'T YOU ..." Giving him a right cross punch "...DARE..." Next come the hook "...HURT..." Now, a uppercut "...MY BABY.." Finish by a upper kick. Kicking him a few feet back from her.
Before standing back to catch her breath, and to clam herself down. Tucking her hair back in place. Close to turning insane. Motherly instinct set in. She gasped and turns to tend to her child.
"Oh, sweet heart...." She kneel down beside it. "There...there...there..." Holding it (the injure plant) tender leave in her hand. "Mummy, will make it all better..." Taking what left of it. She carries it in her arm and gave it a kiss. That was before she threw it, to be eaten by carnivorous Venus Flytrap plants. Walking towards it. She took out a vial from her lab coat and poured it into the Venus Flytrap mouth.
The plant began to squirt before evolving into a merger species of an Venus Flytrap merge with the plant the old man killer earlier. Turning to face him.
"Ready for round two!"
She lips curl.

Gaunt had fought people (and things) with Master-type powers before. Normally the things (or people) they commanded were just tools, a means to an end. He'd never seen one form an emotional connection like that before. The idea baffled him. "If you didn't want them hurt, you shouldn't have sent them to fight. It's a risk of the job." He stood there impassively as she beat on him. Ivy was tough, but she was still well within human levels. A hit like that wouldn't even faze him.
He sighed, folding his arms as she played mama for the damaged plant. He was seriously doubting her decision-making skills. "Seriously, this is kind of your fault. You made it attack an obvious metahuman, what did you think was going to happen?" Though he could kind of understand that course of action. He didn't look like the kind of guy who could tear through much of anything, least of all superpowered vines. With his stretched, scrawny build, he looked more like a magic-user than a fighter. Which was true, from a certain point of view.
And now the risky part began. The giant flytrap grew, absorbing the plant he had torn free from. Gaunt didn't know if his invisibility would work on these things, but he wasn't going to waste his time on it. "I guess this has been a wasted trip. See you around, flower child." He waved dismissively, turning towards the door.
Poison Ivy ignored every word that the ugly man had spoken. She could care less what he had to say or even prove a point. Instead, he was a good as dead for hurting her poor – poor baby.
“And, where do you think you're going?” Her eyes turn bright green. Bringing every the plant inside her store to life. “Who say you were allowed to leave?” With just a thought, her children did as they were told. "And don't talk about reliability. I trust them to do the work. Instead relying on pathetic human who are bound to make mistakes. Those who can turn on you with just a thought" The plants started to block all the doors and the windows. Blocking any escape route that was thought possible. Even the rat hole was blocked off. Not that would do him any good.
With a snap of her finger, she ensnared him once more. But she took notes this time. This time. She ensnared him with a tougher tree. Make out from the hardest and stronger tree bark known to mankind, with a boost of mutation formula. All thanks to her, of course. Oh, just to be extra safe. She had him wrap up within several layers. Trap within the tree barks. So he wouldn't get out of it.
As she sat back in a chair fit for a queen. Make by her beloved children in her honor. How adorable. She waved her prisoner over and glare at him.
Gaunt grumbled, turning to face her. She was blocking the doors, and he doubted he'd be able to break out while she was still conscious. She'd barricaded them pretty thick, and she could probably repair the damage as fast as he could dish it out. He'd have to take her down first, which he didn't expect to be too difficult. Her hits earlier implied that physically, she was within human levels. Once he got in close, this would be over fast.
But Ivy was tricky. Gaunt knew he should have known better than to underestimate a mortal, especially in this city. Before he knew it, roots were wrapping around him. He chuckled, thinking back to Maggie's comments about superspeed. Reflexes like that would have come in handy here. The plants were pretty tight, tight enough that he might have had trouble breathing if that was something he actually needed to do.
Gaunt was just lucky that he wasn't the only one underestimating his opponent. Ivy seemed to think she'd seen his limits before, but Gaunt rarely went to full strength. It was a pretty big drain on him, and the couldn't sustain it for long without feeding. With a low growl, the vampire called on the blood he'd stored up. He could feel his reserves drop as he was filled with energy. The growl rose to a roar as he lifted his arms, breaking his upper body free. Before Ivy could react, Gaunt pulled his scrawny form out of the plant's grip and threw himself at her, fangs bared. He didn't plan to feed on her, but the teeth certainly made him more intimidating.

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
