CRASH[/i]
A ways south of Jump City, something landed hard. There was silence for a moment, but then a familiar figure stirred. Satellites watched from above as Doomsday shambled out of the crater, looking a bit worse for wear. His trademark bony spikes had been cracked or broken off in places, and his gray skin was marred by cuts. Taking a moment to get his bearings, the monster saw a city to the north and started walking.
Meanwhile, on The Watchtower, things were in a state of chaos. Systems had abruptly gone down, and none of the teleporters were working. The Leaguers were in a mad scramble, trying to bring everything back online, but it would take some time. For the moment, Earth was on its own.
"Attention all metahumans. Please gather immediately at the south side exit from State Route 1. All metahumans are given blanket immunity during this meeting. Waller out." The former CADMUS head's voice took over all communications in Jump City. She sat in the makeshift meeting tent they'd set up for this. This was going to be a nightmare, she just hoped that she'd have the numbers to buy them enough time.

"We have a state of emergency. Doomsday has landed south of here, and is approaching Jump City. We have about 30 minutes until he arrives. The Justice League is unreachable right now, so it's up to us to hold him off. He's still weakened from whatever dropped him here, so that gives us an edge. I don't expect us to stop him, just keep hitting. Keep him from healing until the League can get here. We're going to be dividing into three groups. Group A will be those who might be able to hurt him. Blasters, super strength, anything high-damage. Group B will be transport. Fliers, super speed, anything that can harass him or help Group A keep up with him. He looks slow, but he isn't. Don't let your guard down for a second. Group C is everyone else. You'll be helping get civilians into shelters, providing first aid, anything that doesn't involve fighting. Line up, everyone. We got a long night ahead of us." Agents moved through the crowd, passing out communicator wristbands to everyone. The devices chirped as they were put on, showing a map of the nearby streets.
