The Jump City Geological Museum was having a special collection of cat’s eye gems on display. Opening weekend was the next day, the gems all safely tucked away into their cases so all could witness their beauty. Of course in a city like Jump City, no gem could ever be said to be truly safe. What with all the supervillains running about.
Speaking of which, one of those villains was currently strolling along through this brand new exhibit as the security alarms blazed off. While plenty of other villains would bother with things like stealth and subtlety, the Amazing Mumbo was not one of them. He preferred to hog-tie the patrolling guards with his handkerchiefs while the Royal Flush cards stood guards outside. The blazing alarms were like applause to him as his wand magically extended into a cane, smashing to and fro through the display cases as he started to stuff the gems up into his sleeves.
Of course the lack of subtlety meant that a Titan or two was probably going to show up any minute now, but Mumbo didn’t mind. He had a captive audience (literally), a wonderful stage in the beautiful museum; he was ready to put on a show for a couple of meddling teenagers if they decided to interfere.
It might have been cliche, but Robin was doing paper work when the alarm went off. The Titan leader snapped his laptop shut, a half finished report powering down as he flew from the room with his cape snapping behind him. Seemed like Mumbo was up to his old tricks again, which meant the Titans would be ready to stop him! He raced down the stairs, taking them bounds at a time, before slamming into the garage and rushing to his motorcycle.
The Boy Wonder slammed his helmet onto his head and linked his communicator to his bike, finding the nearest available Titan to the location that Mumbo was attacking. He sent out a message to the Titans closes in proximity as he zoomed out of the Titan's garage and into the tunnels that took him to the mainland.
With the speeds he was going it didn't take the Titan's leader terribly long to make it to the museum. He parked his R-Cycle with a screech, flinging himself off the bike and tossing his helmet to the ground besides it. The bike automatically locked as he headed for the doors of the museum. Normally he would wait for the other Titans to show, but the giant playing cards guarding the door were a little too tempting.
"I don't think I like your poker face," Robin quipped as the large cards advanced. He could pass the time waiting for his teammates to show up by fighting giant playing cards. A boy had to have fun somehow. The young leader checked his communicator. Silvering was the closest Titan. This was the problem with having such a scattered team. He kicked down one of the card guards, his weight and momentum forcing it to topple like the unstable object it was. Once she arrived they would go in and stop Mumbo as a team.
Ooc: Feaths, feel free to head inside the museum in your post and assume Robin goes too.
Kimber Fowl (a.k.a Kimber Long) this was getting kinda ridiculous juggling three different identities even for a person, was a few blocks away the museum. Staring into space, with a coffee in her hand, who appear like her soul had just left her. Resulted from a 5 hours straight gruelling rehearsal at the Jump City Auditorium. Rehearsing for a big upcoming charity concert. Starring yours truly, with a group of young and talented musician in Jump City, to perform in an orchestra. But due to the different strength in each musician, it was little difficult very difficult to create a unity within a band. Leading them to a long grueling rehearsal and a lot of yelling from their conductor.
Still staring into space. She was jolted back to reality when she felt a vibration, from the left side of her jeans pocket. Now in the state of alert. She started to look left and right. Making sure the coast was clear, before she popped open her communicator and examined the message. It was a message from Robin, who was informing her about a robbery in progress. Quickly, she replies to him that she was on her way to aid him. Taking a last gulp sip of her coffee and toss it to the nearest trash bin. As she heads to her car and drove to the coordinate Robin had sent her.
Yes, the silver bender had a long exhausted day. But the crime doesn't sleep, so does the Teen Titans. Yes, she knows it was cheesy
A few minutes later, she arrived a quite.... questionable scene…
“What the…?” Silverwing was kinda stub for words. Seeing a stack of card guarding the museum and it had one villain name written all over it, Mumbo Jumbo. She remembers being lecture about his profile once. One thing, she could summarize about him was annoying, with a capital 'A'.
From the corner of her eyes, she saw a colorful flashy figure pass her and instantly she knew it was Robin. The Teen Titans leader who had already arrived at the scene. Took down several of Mumbo Royal cards. Lead her to join in the fight. She took out six of her ‘Silver Bells’. Slipping each between her finger and threw them. Directly at the Royal Guards. With just a thought, she turns each one of them into silver daggers. Used to pin down the Royal cards. Giving them (Robin and herself) an opening to enter the museum and take down the annoying Mumbo Jumbo.

"DANG IT! This game is a such a cheat!" Stephanie yelled as the bright 'GAME OVER' text displayed on the cabinet in front of her. She furiously shoved another quarter into the slot and was even more frustrated to have the quarter rejected. She tried again only for the same result. She looked up at the screen and saw some text underneath the announcement of her failure. 'Maximum # of Tries Exceeded' She failed so hard, the machine wouldn't even take her quarters anymore. That was sad. This stupid Polybius game was a rip-off. Everyone had told her it was a super rare game, but if it was junk, what did it matter if it was rare? It was like finding a one-of-a-kind Twinkie wrapper. Sure it's one-of-a-kind, but it's a Twinkie wrapper. It's garbage.
She pulled out a bag of quarters and looked about the arcade for what she'd do next. After a recent defeat of Penny Pincher, who was arguably one of the lamest villains ever, Stephanie had managed to gather up all the coins he'd thrown at her and converted them into quarters. Technically it wasn't stealing since they were created by his powers and they were just gonna sit there otherwise. Who actually picks up pennies?... Stephanie apparently. She set her eyes on a Rampage cabinet only for her vision to start doubling a bit. As the visions in front of her warped together, she heard the infamous Titans theme coming from her backpack.
Instinct taking over her senses, she slipped between two cabinets, the darkness helping her double vision. She quickly reached into her backpack and retrieved her communicator and looked at the display. Her vision made the words difficult to make out but she did the best to read to herself. "Museum Break-in... Lower Level... Mumbo... Pango? Robin... Not... Presents..." she muttered absolutely confused at what she was reading. What was up with her head? It was like she'd been staring into one of those swirling spiral things for a good hour. She put it aside and decided with the proximity and apparent 'Robin Not Presents' that she should probably respond.
She emerged from the arcade and quickly slipped into an alleyway making sure she wasn't watched going in. Changing as fast as possible, she exited the alley with the use of her trusty grappling hook, emerging as the Spoiler and springing into action. Her vision was clearing up and as she commuted by air to the museum, she began to think about what that vision mess was. Someone had told her the Polybius game had been known to cause hallucinations. So she was just suffering some dorky game gimmick. She could take it then. No big deal.
She arrived at the museum and realized these hallucinations were bit more serious than she thought. As far as she could tell, the entire building was being guarded by a deck of cards. Probably just some normal henchmen getting warped up in her head. She'd never hallucinated before. She never realized you were so aware of it, all the times she'd seen it, people were convinced what they saw was completely real. She shrugged as she divebombed right into one of the card henchmen. Jeez, they even felt like giant cards! This was actually kind of cool. "I told them all Bejeweled was a gateway drug to theft, but they didn't believe me, did they?" she quipped, smiling a bit at her joke. She had just missed Silverwing and Robin entering the building, but she didn't know that and likely, they didn't know either. She proceeded to continue pummeling card men, enjoying her theorized hallucination perhaps a bit too much.
While the card guards did their best, at the end of the day they were still just playing cards. By the time all the Titans arrived onto the scene they were down and out. But the sounds of the fight was enough to alert Mumbo that the cavalry was on its. That gave him just enough time to get himself prepared for this performance.
When the Titans arrived into the gem wing of the museum they would have found the entire place completely dark. But the moment they arrived a spotlight shone on one of the larger display cases, where Mumbo was standing with a bow.
”Greetings lady and gentleman. Tonight is going to be a wonderful show as I, the Amazing Mumbo, shall once and for all defeat Titan leader Robin and…whoever this other person is.” he said, not being familiar with the other person in the room. Didn’t matter though; he’d take care of her as well.
When the Boy Wonder raced through the doors and into the main portion of the museum he was mildly surprised by the darkness of the wing that was being attacked. Robin skidded to a halt, dropping into a fighting stance as he waited to see what was going on. He didn't have to wait long. A light instantly clicked on from above, spotlighting the infamous blue magician that was the cause of tonight's mayhem.
"Show's over, Mumbo," Robin informed the villain with a dramatic swipe of his green gloved hand. The hand then went to his belt and pulled out a familiar weapon. The bostaff made a clicking noise as Robin twirled it to extend it to it's full height slightly behind him. "Your encore is in jail."
Silverwing faces starts to turn red and it wasn't because she was embarrassed or anything. Instead, let say Mr. Mumbo over there just push Silverwing the wrong way. After she heard him saying that...He had no idea who she was? No idea!?!
NO IDEA!?!
"IT'S SILVERWING, YOU BUFFOON! SIL-VER-WING!"
Okay, well fine. Maybe, she was still new to this whole superhero thing and all. And like what, she being for probably being doing it almost a year or so. Beside, if she could be so thoughtful to remember a villain name. They could at least be nice enough to remember hers. Oh well, there was always another alternative. Hit them hard until they remember your name and call out Uncle.
Watching Robin took of his bo-staff. Like a cue, she follow his lead and took out her Silver Bells. Bending them into silver bow and arrows. She aims them at Mumbo. Taking a breath. She focus on her target and release the arrow. Raining Mumbo with silver arrows. Yeah, she may be a sharp shooter like Speedy. But she can buy Robin an opening to attack Mumbo while she distracts him. Keeping him busy dodging her attack.
"And that one's for Sky Masterson!" Stephanie cried as she knocked out the last card henchmen. Wow, she felt great, this whole hallucinating thing made beating up people so much more fun. She supposed this is how people got addicted to drugs actually... That was concerning. Oh well, she proceeded to attempt opening the door to the museum and of course found it locked. Why would that have been open? They're never open. She sighed and looked towards the top of the roof and noticed a nice skylight. She could maybe get in through there.
She fired her grappling hook at the ledge on a nearby building and kicked off the side onto the rounded roof of the building. Landing up there, Stephanie nearly fell over. Jeez, walking on angles was always super weird, and it didn't help that she was still a bit dizzy from Polybius. She didn't actually realize her footsteps on the roof were completely audible down below her, eliminating all manner of stealth she may have had after socking a bunch of card men. She slowly made her way to skylight, nearly slipping a couple times as she did. As she approached, she could hear the sounds of a tussle and wondered what other Titans had already showed up... "AND WHY DIDN'T THEY WAIT FOR ME?!"
Spoiler angrily looked into the skylight to see who was there and was a little surprised to find the room completely dark somehow. Man, what villain was this? Darky... Mc... Darkerson? That was just pathetic. Suddenly, Stephanie lost her grip on the side of the building from her misbalance and went falling right onto the skylight. She was a bit surprised to find the glass had actually been removed from the roof, and she was just plain falling into the room. She rubbed her head as she looked and realized right in front of her up on a display was the backside of Mumbo Jumbo. "Shoot!" she cried internally as she quickly hid from sight, hoping he didn't catch her little landing.
She turned towards the front of him and her heart plummeted. The first thing she saw was Robin 1 in all his red, gold, and green glory. "SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT," She quickly retracted from sight once more as she panicked. She would rather Mumbo see her than Robin. I thought the message said Robin wasn't there! Well... It said Robin Not Presents, but it was close enough. So here she was trapped between a villain and what really should be a villain with his bad attitude and unsmiling face. This was gonna be interesting to say the least.
So it seemed that the Titans decided to double up on him, huh? Well unfortunately for them, magicians were masters of the multitasking and distractions. After all, the whole point was to keep the audience looking one way while secretly doing something else.
”Presto Chango!” Mumbo said, waving his wand as the magic turned the rain of arrows into a rain of roses while giving a bow.
”Why, already giving me roses before the show starts? How kind,” he said.”Let me return the favor.”
Squeezing the flower on his jacket, he shot out a giant stream of water on the floor in front of Robin in hopes of tripping up the Boy Wonder. With all that was going on he didn’t register the sound of Stephanie falling from the skylight.
The problem with magicians was that they didn't follow the natural rules of order. Silvering's arrows proved a distraction, sort of, enough for Robin to get closer but the way Mumbo turned them almost instantly into roses before turning on the approaching Robin didn't give the boy much time to contemplate his next move. Especially now that the ground was slippery.
Robin skidded like a Doberman on tile, his hand going for his belt and grasping the grappling gun before he wiped out in front of the villain. The last thing he wanted was to be turned back into a monkey…or something. The grappling hook went off, the line snapping with zzzzpp as Robin was pulled up into the air. "We have to get his wand away from him!" the Teenage Thunderbolt shouted to his teammate as he let the line drop and, in a feat of acrobatics only a Grayson could manage, flipped towards the same display case Mumbo had been standing on.

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
