It had been a few hours since Fred Valiant had been stranded in Jump City and he was already having a nervous break down. From how differently people acted to the toned down colors to the fact that he was no longer able to survive anything, this world was a living nightmare for a fox like Fred. The poor fox had no other option but to crawl into one of the only alleyways that wasn't the territory of some gang and hide in a cardboard box. Just when Fred was about to close up the box, his fox-like sense of smell picked up a familiar scent. It was a scent that matched the scent of his girlfriend, Rosalina Blazette. Fred exited the alleyway and followed the scent, leading him down the sidewalk until he spotted a girl that looked exactly like Rosalina. The only difference was the purple cloak and hood she was wearing. Fred sprinted towards the girl and gave her a passionate hug.
"Oh, Rosalina, Rosalina," he cried, tears welling up in his eyes, "Thank Yen Sid you're here. I thought I would be stuck in this nightmare forever."
It wasn't everyday that Raven got hugged. In fact, she made an active effort to avoid it when the situations allowed her too. She wasn't very touchy feely to begin with, and the emotions that usually spurred people into hugging weren't things she enjoyed freedom with on a daily basis.
Surprise hugs were even less appreciated than ones she saw coming, quite frankly, especially passionate ones. And hugs by cartoon characters had yet to be charted on her scale of one to ten.
Thus when Fred wrapped his little fox arms around her and called her Rosalina, Raven's first reaction was a slightly stunned silence, followed by an irritated blink. A second later, she realized the rather unusual fact that he was, indeed, a fox. Standing on his two feet, wagging his two tails, and hugging her.
Two tails??
"Are you sure you've got the right Rosalina?" she asked, one eyebrow quirking up. He would've been blasted to the other side of the street by now, had she decided this was a vicious hug, but even a cartoon apparently gave off emotions she could read, and not one of them was vicious or harmful. This was simply a hug, in all its innocent honesty. His heartache touched her own, but she could do little to help that without more of the story.
And being that he was a fox and speaking to her, she was very interested in that story.
OoC: Again, Toonster, my apologies that this took so long! Busy busy.
Fred realized very quickly that he had the wrong girl and shyly released Raven from his embrace, blushing bright pink.
"My apologies, miss," he said, "I thought you were someone I knew. You see, I'm not from around here and I haven't met that many people nice enough to help me get home."
Fred looked down at his feet as he spoke, still embarrassed from his hug.
If he was looking for nice people, he'd probably picked the wrong one to hug. Raven wasn't mean usually, but she wasn't brimming with butterflies and daffodils either. The only thing this little fox had going for him here, aside from the fact that he was a fox and that alone piqued Raven's curiosity, was that she felt for him in his confusion.
"Where is your home?" she asked, taking an appropriate step back and hoping that would discourage any further embraces.
Fred paused for a moment to contemplate the events that had led to him being stranded in this world.
"To be frankly honest," he answered, "I'm not sure Toontown is even in the same world as this city . You see, I was messing around with a portable hole. After falling into the darn thing, I ended up here in this city. Ever since then, I've been asking around about how far away Toontown is from here and everyone's been looking at me like I'm some sort of freak. You think they've never seen a fox before."
Fred turned to Raven and started to realize he only partially explained his hug from earlier.
"In case you need more explanation about my awkward introduction," he continued, "Rosalina, the girl I mistook you for, is my lover from Toontown. In fact, I was going to propose to her before I ended up here."
Fred sighed, pulled out the ring he planned to give to Rosalina, and stared at it for a few minutes with a single tear in his eye.
"I suppose that will have to wait," he said, "Anyway, we haven't met very properly, have we? The name's Fred Valiant. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss..."
OOC: My apologies on being so late with this. I was really busy with college during the summer.

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
