Sterling had been following a suspicious person at a distance for a while now. He was surprisingly good at Stealth, for someone in a bright red outfit. He hadn't been spotted, seeing as he was sticking to the shadows, and he had managed to keep his sword quiet, too. The ornate scabbard had been padded inside to keep the rapier from rattling.
In any case, it seemed his extensive training during his absence from Jump City had paid off. He was able to follow unnoticed, until he saw what he thought was a drug deal going down. Before he pounced, he watched closer, it looked like the guy was peddling...microchips? That was certainly odd. In any case, upon seeing the deal going down, Sterling pounced. Leaping forward, he shouted.
"Igna!"
Fire was his specialty, really. He threw a ball of fire between the two men, prompting them to draw guns. He smirked.
"Teo Animus!"
Controlling the air around him, he shot past them like the wind as he drew his sword and in one fluid motion knocked the guns out of their hands. Their legs were on fire, too, and it wasn't even spreading to the park around them! This was going perfectly.
"Ig Animus!"
He drew the fire away from them, into the palms of his hands, and pointed his hands towards them.
"What do you say you put your hands up, boys?"
He shifted the fireballs into one hand, but he could easily send it in two different directions if they tried to run. With his free hand he tipped his feathered cap, and gave the two criminals a smile. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a cell phone. His intention was to call the police and detain them until the cops got here.
Little did he know who he'd meet in a few minutes.
