For the last several months Mimic had gone away to Mosiac to help prepare its peaceful in habitants for war against their war loving neighbors. He had been made informed of the upcoming battle from a distress call that came from his helmet. It was such a quiet thing that he didn’t initially didn’t hear it. But the sound grew ringing in the young shifter’s ears pretty much annoying him until he finally answered. He wasn’t at all surprised that the Euremians were at it again. What did surprise him, however, was that the Mosiacs knew how to contact him. He did not think such knowledge fell into their hands, but he supposed that such information must have leaked after his grand escape. And if a peace loving planet knew how to contact him then who knows what other aliens had this knowledge. Obviously his enemies still did: the Euremians and the Tamaranians. Suspicions aside, Mimic initially did not want to go because he felt like it had nothing to do with him, that it wasn’t his fight. So why should he help Mosiac? Were they really so weak that they needed help in defending themselves? Were they so desperate that they honestly had to contact a fourteen year old Earthling for help? Granted he was far from helpless, but still… It was for those very reasons that Mimic felt that this was an obvious trap. After giving it some more thought Mimic decided to go. After all, if this really did end up being a trap he felt pretty confident in his abilities. Plus, he was tired of being hunted by those thugs and wanted to end it.
After explaining the situation to his teammates and reassuring them that he would be fine (Starfire took the most reassuring) Mimic left. Upon arrival he was surprised to learn that the Mosiac leader was being truthful and that he was not the only ally they contacted. They informed Mimic that his knowledge of their enemy will prove a huge asset as well as his abilities. So for the next several months Mimic valiantly alongside his allies against the vicious Euremian invaders and together they were able to stave them off.
But even though the battle was mostly won stubborn Euremian remnants scattered across space and one of them was headed straight to his home planet in a small battle ship… ‘Not if I have anything to say about it,’ thought Mimic before taking off after the Euremian in his own small battle ship that he ‘borrowed’ from the Mosiacs firing warning shots at the enemy ship. The Euremian cruiser quickly returned fire causing the two ships to become engaged in an epic space dog fight.
The two soon make it all the way to Earth where their epic battle is continued in the very heart of Jump City, conveniently enough. Mimic couldn’t believe it! After being gone for so long he was finally home. Unfortunately, he couldn’t enjoy it. At least not yet. Not until after he successfully captures the Euremian pest. Only then will he be able to rest easy. After shooting at each other some more both combatants are forced to abandon their ships. The two armored combatants soon start fighting midair blasting at one another. Both of their ships plummet to the streets causing a massive traffic jam. Thankfully no one is seriously injured. Mimic, however, is too involved in the fight to really notice what’s happening below him.
That is until his Euremian opponent threw him into a nearby building. Moaning in pain Mimic glared up at his far taller, intimidating opponent as the Euremian casually lands and walks straight up to the fallen Mimic chuckling cruelly. “You fight pointlessly my boy! Brave you may be, but a TRUE Euremian you are not! You’re just a weapon and that’s all you’ll ever be! Truly, you stand no chance against me! And you have no real skill. You just were extremely lucky up until now, but now you are mine! Surrender and come quietly with me and I just might consider sparing these weak Earth creatures. What say you?” he asked in Euremian; which sounded a lot like a clicking tongue.
During the Euremian’s extremely long rant Mimic felt nothing but rage. The shifter slowly rose to his feet to face his arrogant foe. Popping his neck Mimic sneered back in Euremian, “buddy you talk too much!” Mimic then slowly transforms into a motorcycle; which then starts going full force straight at the surprised Euremian. Unable to get out of the motorcycle’s way in time the Euremian ends up on the high powered bike’s front where he is now forced to cling to it. Mimiccycle and his stuck victim drove at full speed right out of the building and down the street dodging traffic. However, before Mimiccycle could do anything else the Euremian soldier literally disappeared right before his very eyes er headlights and landed right in Mimiccycle’s seat.
Cackling evilly the Euremian soldier tries to take over his new ride. “Yeah see Mimic it’s like I said before, you exist only to serve our most wonderful and awesome leader, Salem! So consider yourself lucky that you are so very useful otherwise you would be very dead right now…”
Mimiccycle’s music from the radio quickly changed from battle music to sad and depressing.
Noticing this the Euremian smirked. “Aw, don’t be so sad. You’ll love Euremia. It’ll be just like old times!”
Refusing to be used as a Euremian weapon again, Mimiccycle struggled to regain control. Unfortunately for Mimic this Euremian soldier came prepared almost as though he expected Mimic would chase after him. “Oh no you don’t!” The Euremian happily declared forcing Mimiccycle to slow down and pull over. And as soon as the bike stopped moving the Euremian inserted what appeared to be a microchip of some sort causing the bike to change back into human form. Mimic, dazed now appeared to be in some sort of strange hypnotic state. The Euremian grinned at him. “And now that I have your…full attention, let us see how well you obey orders and you can start by swearing your loyalty to us and to our cause,” the Euremian ordered.
Clearly brainwashed Mimic nodded. “I…I will do as you say.”
Clearly pleased the Euremian smiled. “Great! Next, I want you to steal me some water. If I’m going to return to Euremia as a war hero I want to bring back more than just you,” the alien ordered as he adjusted his armor.
Mimic nodded. “How much water?”
The alien thought a moment. “Hmmm…twelve no wait better make it ten. Don’t want to look too greedy after all. Hm, how’s my armor?”
Mimic looked him over. “With all due respect your armor’s irrelevant to this situation. Should we not be more focused on the task at hand?” Mimic questioned.
The Euremian grinned for this was exactly the answer he was hoping for. His little inquiry was a test and Mimic passed it. The Euremian just grinned. “Yes, it is! You have your orders. Now away with you!”
Mimic nodded. “What about you?”
“Me? Well, someone has to repair the ship! No way am I flying all the way back to Euremia with just a jetpack!”
After giving a nod in understanding and a salute Mimic set off on his new mission; which to any outsider was just plain ridiculous! But to a Euremian, water is serious business as they consider it more valuable than gold.
The brainwashed Titan then pretty much crashed through the roof of a nearby grocery store causing panic inside the store. Knowing where the water was Mimic ran to the aisle where he started grabbing bottles of water and tossing them into his backpack where some of the employees and shoppers watched in confusion while others in a mass panic ran out of the store.
Once Mimic was long gone the Euremian whispered cryptically into his communicator located on his arm, "It's done."
"Excellent. And the Earth creatures?" answered a faint voice suffering from tons of static.
The Euremian just laughed. "What do you think? They're primitive! They know nothing!"
"What have I told you about underestimating your opponents? And what of the boy's friends?"
The Euremian stopped laughing. "Not sure. They haven't showed themselves yet. I doubt they know what's going on..."
"Oh, I wouldn't worry about that. They'll come. If you truly did do what I told you then the boy's actions alone should attract them," the voice replied.
"I'm looking forward to it! I just hope they put up some sort of fight. It'd be a shame to beat them all too quickly," the Euremian over confidently declared.
"Yes, I am sure you are. Keep up the good work soldier. Signing off..."
After a couple more beeps the alien's communicator went silent leaving the alien soldier all alone with his damaged ship. The alien just shook his head. "That guy takes himself way too seriously..." he mused to himself before going back to work on his ship.
