Only 2AM, and it was already a productive night. Gaunt waited in the shadows, his vampiric powers hiding him from sight. It was right about time for the shift change. Right on cue, the doors opened and the Nosferatu slipped out. His scrawny form was a blessing at times like this, slipping between the guards without so much as brushing them. It was a clean escape. In and out with no witnesses, no footage, not even polaroid photos hastily taped over security cameras. He was good to go.
It had been a bit of a scattershot job. Waynetech always had a lot of good stuff, so he hadn't gone in with a specific goal in mind. He'd just gathered all the details and schematics he could. The data wizards in L.A. could scan through them, find info that they could sell. Wayne's competitors would pay top dollar for bits and bobs that could be used without being clearly stolen. They wouldn't be on the lookout without any alarms, but the more cautious they were, the better.
Gaunt waited to get around a few bends before reappearing. The vampire appeared in a puff of smoke, seemingly alone in a back alley. He looked up, trying to see if anyone was there. He'd been forgetting to do that before reappearing. This wasn't like L.A., where the supers were few, far between, and secretive. This place was crawling with 'em, and he had to be careful. There wasn't anyone that he could see, but Gaunt proceeded with caution anyway.
