Belle Reve really was a terrible place to go. Just ask the number of criminals that had been sent there and they'll tell you. Some of these criminals even lost their minds during their stay and ended up being transferred to Arkham Asylum. However, one of Belle Reve's latest residents was a certain troublemaking telepath who went by the name of Psyman. He didn't escape his latest theft and was subsequently caught and sent to Belle Reve by the Titans East member, Speedy. He was most humiliated when things did not go his way. But, strangely enough he did not blame Speedy for his latest failure. After all the archer was merely doing his job just as Psyman was attempting to do his. That's how the telepath saw things anyway: as everyone just doing their jobs.
He sat there grumpily on the edge of his cot with his arms over his head. He was deep in thought. 'How could things have gone so wrong? That camera trick should have worked! At least where I'm from it did. It just doesn't make any sense! And now thanks to my...error I'm probably nothing more than a joke around here. I doubt things can get much worse,' he thought upset. The telepath had been placed in a solitary cell mainly for his own safety since back as a Teen Titan he did help bring in many criminals, some of which were still there including Dr. Burgess. No doubt they still had a bone to pick with the fickle telepath and not to mention Burgess wanted him back. So the good boys in blue did their best to keep the two as separate as possible.
And to protect other criminals as well as guards from his psychic powers a helmet of sorts was placed upon his head to prevent him from reading minds and sending mind blasts. So whenever he does try to use his powers the helmet sends him a rather painful warning zap. Also to prevent him from shifting into a cat a neural collar was placed around his neck; which also zaps him if he tries to shift. Psyman found the collar the most demeaning of all since it made him feel like a pet and being surrounded by bars certainly didn't help his feelings on the matter either.
Ever since he was locked up a criminal psychologist had been called in to...talk to Psyman. Initially the telepath felt it nothing more than a clever way to interrogate him and find out all his secrets and embarrassing moments. But after awhile Psyman actually started to like his psychologist. He couldn't explain it since throughout his life he hated all his psychologists, but this one...this one seemed different. She was nice and full of understanding and whenever he spoke to her he never felt like she was accusing him of anything. Just talking to her made him feel so much better. She and he were due for another chat session later that day and he really could use it too. For now though he was just using his time alone to think about things.
Then suddenly out of nowhere his yellow eyes started to glow and he was hit with a vision. In his mind he saw a tiny, unassuming young girl breaking him out with a help of what looked like a large metal man and then just as quickly as it came his vision stopped, so he had no idea if they made it out or not. But that was the thing about his visions they were pretty unpredictable and seemed to leave more questions than answers. Only good thing about them was they always came true and the annoying helmet upon his head failed to prevent him from having them.
His eyes stopped glowing leaving him breathing heavily. Feeling dazed he leaned against the side wall of his cell while he caught his breath. His mind raced. 'So...so I'm getting out of here? That's great news! Just wonder when it's gonna happen, but from the looks of things I'd say soon...' he thought to himself only too happy to get out. He just wondered who this girl was and why she wanted to free him? He didn't even know her or her robot. 'So many unanswered questions,' he thought, frustrated.
ooc: I decided Psyman doesn't need a cellmate, but if someone wants their villain in jail as well then they could either be just be brand new or in a cell next to or across from Psy's.
