Okay, so this was a….nice change of pace. No wand, no magic, just him, his old person self, and a bag of bird seed to feed the nice little pigeons in the park. He could do this, he could just sit here as a quiet old man, right?
At least, that was what the parole board was wanting him to do. After being arrested and all that fun stuff they had taken his wand as a precaution. Sure, the cops didn’t think it did anything of it, but when the Titans insisted on it, well, they took their words. Even if it would come back to him eventually like it always did, the time in between that was always so….boring. But that boredom was a necessary part of the “readjustment to society” or whatever that the parole committee hoped he would do.
So that brought him here to the park, with a bag of seed, feeding the stupid pigeons like all the other old people in the park were doing. It was humiliating; he should be Mumbo, stealing the spotlight and being the star of the show. Instead, he’d be lucky to get a mention as an extra, if you wanted to talk movie terms.
Still, with a sigh, he threw out more seed and watched the pigeons he so desperately wished were coming out of a magic hat and not from the trees.
That day Psyman wore his green and black jogging suit. It was such a nice day out that the telepath decided to get some fresh air and just sort of walk around to take his mind off things. As the telepath walked thoughts of others entered his head. Most were unwanted. He wasn’t sure how and why he was suddenly losing control over his telepathy, but it had been going on for a full week now and he hated it. He wondered if this was a punishment of sorts, but couldn’t think who would have the power to inflict such a mentally painful punishment onto him. Not even his creator, the mad doctor, Burgess could do that. As he walked entering the minds of others he covered both of his ears muttering to himself. Many a passerby watched him thinking him a loon.
He soon came across a park with old people feeding pigeons. How quaint. He had no idea that one of the old people was fellow criminal, Mumbo Jumbo for he had never witnessed his transformation before. But the place was quiet, serene enough for mediation. The telepath wasn’t very good at it, but he’d try anything again to rid himself of all these unwanted thoughts.
So remembering what his old trainer taught him he strolled over to a nearby tree and sat underneath it cross legged. In an attempt to center himself he took a deep breath before closing his eyes. He knew that by doing so would be taking a risk for in this state he was completely vulnerable to attack. But as he was in his civvies he did not think anyone would recognize him as Psyman and so he did not think anyone would be attack him. He felt pretty safe to meditate there in the park surrounded by the elderly who in his mind wouldn’t harm a fly and you would have to be pretty fucked up in the head to attack the elderly.
ooc: And so the telepath finally meets the great magician, Mumbo Jumbo!

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
