Titans! Tangle! [Game Night Thread 2]

She hadn't actually been there when the huge reveal board game find happened but the instant Babs had mentioned a Twister mat had been among the finds, Stephanie was on that business likety split. Twister was her FAVORITE game of all time. It took a bit of convincing, but eventually she got permission to play as long as a high-ranking Titan kept an eye on her. Wouldn't want to go revealing any secret identities on accident.

The purple clad hero had actually show up way before it was time to start so she got stuck siting outside until someone could finally escort her inside. She really thought that escort stuff was a bit silly. If someone really wanted to wreck the Tower, an escort wasn't gonna stop them. It just made things harder for growing recruits like herself. Rules were rules though and she had to follow them. She was inside now so it really didn't matter much.

Set up for Twister was a little on the easy side. There wasn't even a spinner in the box so all it was was just laying down the mat. Steph was ready to go though. She made a brand new spinner with her spare time and even found mat weights. Kind of all she could do since she was so early. Being hyperactive was kind of a curse sometimes. No one had shown up to play yet, but the wannabe acrobat was already eagerly sitting with her shoes discarded off to the side. Man, she really hoped people actually wanted to play. It'd be really awkward if she just sat here for several hours...

Penumbra walked in just a few moments later, still in full costume. He'd been running around the city beforehand, and the game-night was meant to bond the brooding, lonely vigilante with his teammates. To his unpleasant surprise, the person running Twister was none other than Spoiler. Not again... The last time the pair met, she'd practically tried to kill him. That was when they were on the same team! Here they were trying to win. Someone might die tonight.

With a sigh, he waved, walked to a wall of the room, and started removing portions of his costume. First, he removed his belt, which hit the floor with a loud THUD betraying its weight, then he shrugged off his cape. Smirking, he looked over at Spoiler, "Oh, tell me if this makes you feel uncomfortable. I'd hate for me to win just because you ran away." Next, his jacket hit the floor with a louder THUD, probably audible down the hall and in the floor below, due to the ballistics plates. All that was left was Penumbra, in a hat, black under-armor, and his reinforced pants.

"So, are you ready to lose, super-gymnast?" He mumbled as he leaned against the wall, hat tipped low as he waited for the rest of the entourage competitors teammates to arrive. Something told him this wasn't going to be as easy as he hoped.

Batgirl had been one of the few to discover the old games in the basement, and one of the most enthusiastic about them. Her favorites were there, including Scrabble. Man, she would beat the pants off these guys. Of course, there were several other really good games there, including Twister. With all of these super-fit teenagers, this one would be fun. Of course, they would probably have to do it twice, once with the super-powered Titans and one with the powerless. Babs may have an advantage that way, being a former gymnast. Flexibility and strength. Sounds like fun.

She was glad to see that she wasn't the only one to arrive in the common room on their Twister night. Still, they would need at least one or two more people to make it interesting. "Hey Spoils!" Babs waved at her fellow Gothamite as she unzipped her jacket with her other hand, revealing her white tank top underneath. She quickly discarded it as well as her utility belt onto the couch, adding to the already cluttered room. Guess that was what happened when a bunch of teenagers hung out in here all day. Later she would probably end up being the Tower mother again and cleaning up.

When she made it over to the mat, she spotted Penumbra not far away. "That hat won't help you much. Maybe you should just wrap your cape around your head." Laughing, she lay on the ground across the mat from Spoiler. "So. How many more are joining us tonight?"

"Wrap his cape around his head..? So he'll be in costume ta pull a Houdini on us? Do us all a favour'n try nodta give Numbers anymore bright ideas." Despite the fact that Houdini didn't wear a turban, the archer's faux-pas banked on them linking the magic reference with a traditional genie's imagery.

Speedy hadn't really hung out with Alphonse very often; all he'd worked out was one of various of the guy's nicknames for personal use so far.

"S'gotta be at least a couple more who might wanna join, now that the party's walked in~."
The latest entrant into the Common Room thought out loud, and took out those famous arms which were usually uncovered anyway, breezing into the room soonafter Batgirl's question, in a glide of stretching shoulders and advancing by pure lunges alone for a quick warm-up. Although not nearly as flexible as the rest of those assembled, he was counting on his upper body strength to keep him suspended in even the most difficult of twists, until he could un-twist again. A red and white baseball t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up and gold shorts gave the impression he was still sort of in costume.

"Who's this regally-robed one in the corner? There's just somat special about a lady in a hood..We haven't met yet."
Spoiler in the purple over there was another one of their newer recruits that Speedy hadn't had the chance to get to know yet, but with a wink through his domino-mask, a click of his tongue, and some finger-gunning, all the greeting necessary had been relayed, as far as the archer was concerned.

He was ready to have some fun.
