"You know... if not for the fact there were lives in danger... This would actually be really pretty," Kara Zor-El mused to herself as she looked on at the current state of the Pinxit Art Museum. The entire building had been turned into something not unlike a sort of frozen palace, the roofing lined with reverse icicles and the fractals formed into twisting avant-garde pieces of art. The museum's namesake would be proud if she could see this display. However, as pretty as it was, innocent civilians were frozen solid inside, made into reluctant sculptures in this new take on the art museum. If left too long, they would no doubt perish, so Supergirl's role here was clear. It was time to bust this palace apart.
The villain behind this little display was none other than Killer Frost, a rather notorious supervillain to the Justice League, and thus, Teen Titans and Supergirl. Being more familiar with the villain than most of the other Titans in Jump, Supergirl was called on to take care of the ice queen. She may be Rank 1, but being practically a household name came with some benefits. With a spit into both hands, Kara cracked her knuckles and prepared to enter into the icey lair, but was immediately taken aback when she slipped on the ice on the ground like a bumbling idiot and went sliding right into the frozen door.
The wonderful thing aboutTiggers Kryptonians is physics don't quite work the same way on them as they do on Earthlings. So while most people upon hitting the door would just bounce off and slide back the way they came, Kara... Well, Kara just kind of crashed right through, sending shattered ice in every which direction into the building, a single piece of it, running across her face and leaving a nice bleeding scratch. Thankfully the door broke a lot of the superheroine's momentum, so as she ran into one of the many 'people sculptures', she came to an abrupt stop in the main hall.
Recovering and looking up, Kara saw the inside of the building was even more fanciful than the outside visage. A humongous ice-made chandelier hangs in the center, chained to the ceiling by a chain also of ice. Throughout the room, frozen civilians dotted the landscape, stuck forever in their pose of surprise and panic. Kara could see Frost added a couple extra sculptures of people, immediately obvious from the rest out of their more artistic poses. Kara would pay to see the day someone happened to be doing yoga in an art museum as they were suddenly assaulted by an ice demoness. No sign of the villain here though. Cautiously, Kara continued inside further.
