Jade Dragon

At this point, Kara wasn't sure if she was down here in the sewers over her own business or Titans business. For the last couple weeks, she had been hot on the tale of a criminal the Jump City Police Department was referring to as the Jade Dragon for multiple reasons, a name whoever it is took kindly to in their latest act of maleficence. It had started with a string of thefts. Complicated machine parts from various high-tech contraptions. Seemingly just a parts seller. However, things got hot when an extremely confidential government courier was attacked and the cargo from his plane completely swiped. The sole person on board was knocked into a thorough sleep he'd yet to wake from. No doubt intentionally so he couldn't share details on what he witnessed. Whoever this was behind this knew what they were doing.
Kara's best friend forever, Barbara 'Batgirl' Gordon had been investigating the case from a detective standpoint up to that point, but it became Kara's business when a double assault occurred in Keystone City that targeted her half-brother Kon-El and the current Robin, Tim Drake. Both boys were out clean. Speculation was abound to how someone managed to incapacitate a Kryptonian and the prodigy of Batman. Kara didn't care though. No one attacks her family and gets away with it. She began picking up pieces she could find incorporating her own sense of science into the mix. It was a bit surprising to find the trail led back to Jump City. One may see it as suspicious, but Kara saw it as pure and utter luck.
As she found piece after piece further, she had the location of the headquarters of the Jade Dragon down to a city block, and now here she was in the sewers, closing in on her half-brother's attacker. She had technically gone past her actual duty as a Titan, but this was personal. She felt justified going to this extent. Besides, who was going to tell an angry 800 lbs. Kryptonian no? Pausing, Kara looked at the coordinate tracker on her wrist. She was in just the right spot. With a nod, she looked at the sewer wall to her right and approached it. Rearing her fist back, she gave a fierce punch into the wall, shattering it to pieces.
She had been hoping to just catch this jerk off guard, but Kara was utterly shocked to find herself getting sprayed in the face with something. As the spray settled on her skin, it began to burn. And not just burn like a chemical burn, but whatever this substance was was burning away at her skin like acid. She could barely managed to open her eyes and found green little dots of liquid all over her. In the hole ahead, a canister behind the wall had been prepped to respond. Nothing else was there. Just more sewer. She looked again at the liquid and had two dark realizations. One, the liquid was Kryptonite compound. Practically literal poison. Two, given this set of perfect circumstances, whoever this Jade Dragon was knew she was coming and exactly what she'd do. It was a setup. The ease of her work was completely intentional. She'd walked right into a trap.
As Kara began furiously coughing and gagging, footsteps approached her. "Kryptonians. They are layered in strength, cunning, and agility, but their one greatest weakness asides of course from the mutated remains of their own planet, has always been their pride for their own blood," a slick female voice came, practically snaking around Kara's ears. She looked up and before her stood a teenage female dressed in a green kimono and boots, and most notably of all, an ominous Cheshire Cat-like mask covering her face. As Kara barely managed to stand anymore, the girl knelt down to her. The assailant ran her finger over Kara's cheek, getting a big glob of Kryptonite compound on her fingertip. Lifting her mask just enough to reveal her mouth, she took a taste of the compound and smiled. "It's a shame this is so deadly to you Kara. It tastes like candy," she cackled as Kara lost consciousness.
