Dawn was rising, although none of the members present to oversee S.T.A.R. Labs' top-secret mission were present to oversee it. No, they were all underground by this point; From the Titans gathered to the small company of S.T.A.R. Labs guards... all to assist in the escort of especially sensitive 'cargo' from one base to another. The path itself wasn't all that bad looking from the start, at least. S.T.A.R. Labs was built several floors under the ground in addition to the towering building above, so it was necessary for them to ensure the structural integrity of the underground areas they built into. Several miles inward, however, would be a different story; While the cavern paths 'were' there, there was no doubt that any number of cave ins or other obstacles would await them. It was shaping up to be a fun day so far!
Among the assembled group was Battery Girl herself, who's attention was divided between the fact that she was standing around with some of the all-stars (Titan-wise) and the fact that before her sat the so-called 'weapon' that auntie 'Chelle had told her about. Honestly? It looked like a giant, metal cage, attached to the back of a jeep, driven by another employee. There was a heavily locked door on the front of this 12-foot tall, 10-foot wide box on wheels, but outside of that, there were no windows, no air vents, no... nothing. The only other structural features to the cage were a set of protruding, metal barbs from the top, center, and bottom of each corner of the large box, which had an unknown function thus far. Just what was in there?
"...Right, then. Everyone's here. Thank you all for your assistance in this matter, especially you Titans; I trust I don't have to state it outright, but this is a task of absolute importance... as well as secrecy. It's very, very important that what happens down here, stays down here." Speaking before the assembled group was a fairly high-ranking scientist by the name of Michelle Rowe. With her mid-length, auburn hair pulled back and her trusty clipboard at the ready, she addressed the convoy team. "The mission itself is fairly simple. Our partners in Steel City's S.T.A.R. Labs have requested that we transfer an important, experimental prototype-- which you see here," She noted, gesturing towards the armored convoy (and inadvertently, Battery Girl), "To their lab's location. We've decided upon using the underground roads here to deliver the prototype from point A to point B. We've done a test run with a drone to determine a 'path of least resistance', but the data is questionable at best, regarding how it'll apply towards such a large group. The path should be safe... but be careful all the same." She noted, tapping her clipboard with a pen every 15 seconds, absentmindedly-- A bad habit of hers.
"Battery Girl will be traveling with you, as an extra precaution to keep the convoy safe," She once again turned to oversee both the convoy and Battery Girl, who felt a bit embarrassed at being addressed so suddenly. "As some of you may or may not know, her body is capable of holding, producing, and completing an electric current. Battery Girl's particular role will be to remain as close to the convoy as possible, at all ti--"
"Whaaaaa? But why!? That's the lamest job ever!" The young blonde immediately complained, to which, Michelle simply sighed.
"...At all times, as her ability to conduct electricity will enable the convoy's primary defense mechanism. Battery Girl, if you would be so kind as to demonstrate by touching the convoy, and running an electric current through it?" Now, Battery Girl was a pretty dense Titan at times, but even she knew when Michelle was sliiiiightly annoyed, and she'd rather brave the darkest depths of this crazy cave than have that to deal with. With a slight gulp, she did as told, touching the simple metal convoy and concentrating a bit. To her shock, the barbs on the convoy came to life; Each one cracked with electricity, before a small, electrical field arced fully around the entirety of the big box, including Battery Girl... who was technically trapped inside. "Whoa!" She jumped slightly at the reaction, but held tight to the box for fear of what else might happen.
"The convoy, as you see, was designed to work in tandem with her powers; If she moves away from it, the electrical field will deactivate. Therefore, it would be best to keep any possible threats away from the convoy, as well as Battery Girl." Michelle noted, before something caught her attention; The smartphone in her pocket had begun to vibrate. "Right, it's time for you to head out. Be safe, everyone, and godspeed to you." Michelle finished, before sighing. The jeep began to move, albeit at a slow pace, away from Michelle and the lab, and deeper into the caverns. "...Auntie 'Chelle," Battery Girl, pulled alongside the now-moving convoy, spared one last glace back at her aunt, who didn't return the look; She'd already turned away to leave. Oh well.
Hopefully this went at least somewhat well.
