The Beach. Not exactly the most popular venue at this time of the year, January in the dead of winter, but a bit of a disturbance in the waters had brought the attention of Kara Zor-El to the frost-touched beach where the sand crunched instead of flowed as it usually did. Some of the seaside residents as well as some of The Boardwalk maintenance crew had all reported a rather stunning display in the Jump City Bay. From out of the sky, what looked like a small meteor had crashed down into the water and sent several large waves crashing into the beachside attractions. The damage was minor, but what was peculiar was that most of the witnesses had reported that the fallen object was turquoise in color and definitely didn't resemble a meteor of any kind.
One possibility was at suspect, a visitor from the stars. It was imperative to get someone checking just in case they were hostile or in the chance that they were in danger and needed medical response. In these cases it was best to send an alien themselves since they generally knew just a bit more the Earthfolk on the subject of alien negotiations and medical response. It was a little frustrating for Kara though. With how late it was after the impact, it was difficult to tell at all where the object had landed in the Bay. Most of the residual waves had died down and it was mostly just the tide now.
As she scanned the area for any signs of atmospheric burns, a small noise came to her attention; something of a foreign cry. She turned her attention towards the source down the beach. As she approached, she began to realize what she had thought at first to be just rocks were actually actually objects of various kinds; all of an extraterrestrial nature. She even recognized some. A keralite egg laid by the Great Fowl Beast Traskan from Terracore, a remnant of the statue of Emperor Askline that had been demolished when the planet of Jesolem overthrew him, a ceremonial Tamaranean axeblade from rituals of Klorthox, and what caught Kara's eyes most, a helmet with the insiginia of House Zu from her own planet of Krypton. All these objects were very precious items in their respective cultures, given only to very important people. All of it just washed up on the beach like trash.
The cry was louder now, and Kara could finally pinpoint the noise to a large shell-like disc. She didn't recognize it, but Kara could only assume it was a treasure from some other alien culture. Pushing away the shell, she found some sort of cocoon underneath. It was about the size of a large baby, very insectoid in nature. The cry was coming from the top where something was pushing at the edge, trying to break out. Was this child another treasure of some kind? Or perhaps the offspring of whoever had crashed in the Jump City Bay. The anatomy was completely unfamiliar to Kara. She began to panick a bit as to whether she should help the creature break free, to leave it alone, or do something entirely. "H-Hello?! Whoever is here from off this world, are you here?! I mean no harm! I have found your child and they appear to be birthing! I think it would be wise if you were to come and assist me! I am unfamiliar with your culture and I fear I may hurt the child if I try anything!" she screamed across the beach in a panic, but met with no response. She looked again and saw the pushing getting more erratic. Oh jeez, she really hoped it wouldn't call her mama.
Tagging Elenaphant because of the Tamaranean object among the wreckage. Just in case Starfire would want to claim something like that. Don't feel obligated to post.
