Anger. Anger was one of Terra's least favorite emotions. It always made her powers go crazy and there was little she could do to train herself against it save for forcing herself to get angry and subsequently stop herself which was really a bad practice for the real thing. Lately, she'd taken to just flying away and being by herself for awhile. It still wasn't exactly constructive, especially considering she usually went to the quarry outside of town and let her powers run rampant on the rocks and minerals all around. Today found her doing just that. Her eyes glew a fierce gold as she angrily smashed rocks into each other and against walls, shattering them into dust and shale. The quarry had been abandoned for some time now, so she really could let loose here with relative little consequence.
It was probably worse that she was mad over pretty much nothing. She had made some soup for the Titans and completely forgot to separate the meat from the rest of the stew, so Beast Boy had to make his own lunch on his own. He had said it was fine and he didn't mimd, but Terra berrated herself endlessly for forgetting such an easy fact. She had tried to just lock herself in her room, but as her gem collection began floating on it's own, she knew it was gonna be bad so she made for the quarry from there.
As she continued smashing apart little tiny rocks, she suddenly spotted a huge boulder waiting on it's lonesome. Seeing both a chance to be really destructive and to test her might, she threw out her hands towards the giant rock and shut her eyes. With a significant strain on her muscles, she lifted the rock into the air. Smiling and opening her eyes, she released control of the rock and let it hit the ground. However, she definitely did not expect the boulder to clear smash straight through the ground like it was a sheet of paper. In horror, she watched as cracks quickly began to emerge from the gaping hole in the ground. She made to run away from the cracks, but they easily outpaced her and as they split open, the geomancer was swallowed up.
When she opened her eyes, Terra found herself in some undergroumd cavern. A huge pile of rocks including the original she had dropped down were nearby. What was peculiar was she could see all of this somehow. She looked to the source of light and noticed a gas-powered lantern hung upon a stick. What was that doing down here? Was this an old mine shaft? But surely the lanterns from when this quarry was in use ran out of gas by now. She left the thought alone as she looked up at the darkness above. It was impossible to see where she came in from up there. She sighed and pulled out her communicator.
"S.O.S. Trapped in Underground Cavern at Jump Quarry. Request rescue. Signs of life. Others may need rescue," she typed out before sending it out to the Titans. Hopefully they'll keep track of the way to the exit when they come for her. At her own rate, she'd get loster than she already is. What was with this whole cavern? This wasn't like any mine shaft she'd ever seen. It was so obtuse and large. And what was with the lit lantern? Were they still doing work down here? As Terra heard the sound of voice approaching, she hid behind a boulder and spied out to see who was with her down here. As she caught a glance of one of the approachers, she was almost atonished with what she saw. Dwarves! Like out of Snow White! Out of Lord of the Rings! What's going on here?
