Mnemosyne glared at the door of her prison. It was a specially made room. There was no metal, not the nails, not the locks, nor the bars, it was all made of wood! She still had her rings and her piercings but they wouldn't do anything against the thick walls and door, there was no reason to give away her ace.
At the moment Mnem wasn't sure if her kidnapper knew her powers or not, the cage she had been thrown in said yes, but the fact that she hadn't been stripped of her jewelry said no. All Mnem knew about her captor was he a magic and they were more than likely not lawful good. Every eight hours food would appear suddenly by the door in a wooden bowl. According to her watch and the number of bowls sitting in the corner she had been here for three days.
The Iron Maiden sighed closing her eyes as she thought back to how she had gotten into this mess...
The music had been pumping and the cute red headed DJ was on top of every song. Mnemosyne slipped away from the dance floor to get a drink and take a rest. Her phone said it was a little before midnight, and the party was just getting started if the DJ had anything to say about it.
Mnemosyne sat back at the bar enjoying her drink and the music. She didn't notice her drink getting refilled suddenly that she seemed to get weaker till she stood up and and the world started spinning. The tall woman fell to her knees and then fell over before she passed out.
When Mnem woke up, she was in a full blown panic trying to draw on her blood and any iron in the area, but there was none except her stuff, even then she had no control over it. Thankfully nothing had happened. Everything was where it was supposed to be, except for herself. She was stuck in a wood room alone. After spending a day crying and trying to figure out how to escape (she owed Kimber an apology), Mnem just sat in the corner and meditated.
She zoned out just listening and feeling her heartbeat. Sometimes she missed when her food arrived, but that she cared much. Mnem hadn't eaten anything today, betting that her powers were being limited by a drug in the food. Mnemosyne smiled looking at her rings that moved. It was working, but she was weak without food. Clever son of a --
That thought was cut off a foot steps thumped outside. Mnemosyne hissed as the wood walls sprouted and restrained her. The door opened and a strange shadow person tossed an unconscious long brown haired girl in with her. As soon as the door closed the wood let go of Mnemosyne.
The conscious girl moved over to the girl and turned her over so she could see her face. She smirked and laughed for the first time in a while. Oh Kimber, we have to stop meeting like this. Mnemosyne retreated back to her corner, she sat and watched Kimber waiting for her to wake up again. She smirked a little as she thought abut what she had seen about the door. It a simple lock on a barred door. There was a will and now there was a way.
