The admin team has recently implemented some new policies to help us run this site a little better. Teen Titans Go Guild is constantly evolving as we face new challenges, and one of those challenges is balancing our schedules. This has resulted in us being less than stellar in how promptly we review new applications. Some of you have waited months in the past without a response, and we know that's simply unacceptable. Unfortunately, as this is something we do because we're passionate about the Titans and roleplaying, we don't want to be overwhelmed with our responsibilities to the point it effects our enjoyment. At the same time, we don't want to neglect our responsibilities to the site.
The new policies will help us manage to remain prompt, and help us handle when our situations get complicated and start effecting the growth of the site. We want applications to be processed faster just like I'm sure many of you do. It's not fair that you spend time and effort on an application only to fall to the wayside. We recognize that and thank you so much for your patience and understanding.
In order to speed things up, we will require that
1)after a review is given, we will allow a maximum of two weeks after for an application to be submitted again for re-review before it is put in the inactive applications sub-board.
An application can always be retrieved after and put back, but it will be our way of tracking currently 'active' applications and it will be the responsibility of the applicant to inform us they are back and ready to promptly review again.
2)A repeat of inactivity during the same review process will mean we will prioritize your application last and it will be exempt from the next policy.
It would not be fair to expect you to reply within a specific time-frame without the same expectation on us. Therefore,
3) Reviewers are obligated to reply to a submission for review a maximum of one week after it has been requested.
3a) This must span all applications, and the failure to do so twice will require us to put new applications on hiatus until half the current applications are processed.
3b) The applicant reserves right to remind the staff that they are waiting on reviews if the one week has passed after the requested review. If not, it will be considered pestering and we'll ask for patience.
New members during a hiatus are still allowed to join and work on their applications in the WiP thread. They are allowed to post in the OOC section of the boards, talk in the cbox, and chatplay with their characters.
4) Admins may put up a hiatus for new applications at their discretion; usually for reasons such as not having enough reviewers capable of processing applications, receiving an overwhelming amount of applications at once, or other extenuating circumstances.
We are currently on hiatus. Any questions or concerns please respond with them in the PM regarding this announcement.
