Robin was finishing his breakfast when a chipper voice announced that she was going to go out and help the city. The Boy Wonder turned in his seat, watched as the common room doors swooshed shut just as quickly as they had opened, and just sort of stared in confusion for a moment. A massive question mark bounced off his spiked hair as Robin quickly got to his feet.
He hurried to put his breakfast dishes away, scuttling like a Christmas mouse, and dashing out of the common room after her. There was no way he'd catch her, and it was sort of a fools errand to begin with, but he slowed his pace as the spiral staircase popped into view the lobby. There she was, by the door, going through the present he'd left her.
"Hi Starfire," he greeted as he made his way down the stairs and to the lobby. "What do you have, there?"
The Boy Wonder stopped short, peering at what was in her hands, before looking up at her to smile. "Do you wanna built a snowman?" he asked, echoing the popular movie as he gestured to what she was holding. "I was going to clear the walk for the mailman," Robin explained, popping open a nearby closet and pulling out a snow shovel with a bat symbol stamped across it. Which was, really, the only reason they had a snow shovel on the coast of California. "But we could build a snowman first." he offered.

She looked up from the confusing selection of items to glance up at Robin, who she didn't even realized had arrived suspiciously fast from the common room. He asked her something that had her eyebrows raising. A.. snow man? She looked back at her tag. Was that what her Secret Santa was referring to? He was holding up a shovel she hadn't even seen before. Ah yes, the mailman! Wait, was that the insignia of his mentor? She smiled, eyeing it with amusement. What wouldn't they put symbols on? "With the ah, batshovel?" she asked teasingly. They named everything with the prefix bat yes?
Starfire reached into the closet before answering. "If you are going outside you must dress up," said the girl in a crop-top and skirt. She grabbed the red winter jacket he wore in Siberia. She took the shovel from his hand to rest it against the wall and drew the jacket over to help put it on. She also assisted with the hat and scarf. They couldn't have him catching the cold.
"I do not know what a 'snowman' is or how to build one, but I do not want you becoming an 'iceman'," she said and tucked the scarf into his collar for extra warmth. She picked up her present from where she left it--on the top shelf of the closet--and glanced at the items. "I believe these have something to do with it?" she inquired. He would just have to show her.
So that was how they ended up outside, rolling three balls of various sizes and stacking them one onto another. Then she learned that the items in the box were decoration, which made up the face of this snow man. They found branches from the nearby trees that would do well for arms, and when she stepped back... It did not have the shape of any man that she knew, but it was cute looking!
For her, it was less about what they were making, and more of how fun it was to play in the snow. "You could make many shapes by compacting snow in this fashion," she mused, not even knowing about snow forts. When she glanced back at Robin, she noticed his cheeks were particularly rosy. She walked over and pressed her hands to his cheeks, which still remained warm despite working the snow with her bare hands. If anything, their snowman had a bit of a shiny sheen from the ice that formed from melting a layer of snow, and then refreezing from the frosty air.
She stood there with him, looking at him fondly with her hands cupping his face. That was, until she heard the mailman cursing and gasped as they had forgotten about him. She flew over to help the man through the snow so that he could deliver their mail, and waved goodbye when he left. It seemed it was perhaps time to actually clear the snow rather than play in it, and Starfire got to play the role of a batplow with shovel in hand and no snow capable of standing in her way.
“Ah, er-” Robin glanced at the shovel as she pointed it out. “Yeah.” His blush only deepened as she pointed out that he needed to wear a coat to go outside and not become a snowman himself. He suited up fairly quickly with Starfire's help, blushing the whole while, before they were out and frolicking in the snow. He showed her how to build a snowman. The Boy Wonder decided that he would never forget today. Even though his face heated up from more than just the contact of her hands on his cheeks.
Day 5 Robin glanced out the window the next morning to make sure that all the snow hadn't melted. The forecast suggested they would have a miraculously white Christmas. He grinned as he snagged the present he'd finished putting together the night before off his desk. It was rather plain, with a duller ribbon than the day before, but on the inside was a crystal angel ornament that had caught his eye. He left the present in the common room, leaning up against the window, as he continued on with his morning.
On the fifth day of Christmas

Lay down in the white flakes Out in the winter air Move your arms and legs about What is it you leave there?

It was sitting on the window, as inconspicuous as could be in the plainer wrapping. She had been keeping an eye out for her presents, which was how she found it. She lifted it off the sill and glanced at the tag. More fun in the snow, she realized, though she didn't understand what flailing in it was supposed to accomplish. If she laid in the snow, she'd be leaving an impression, or was it a depression?
She took off the lid to see and before she could think about how it tied into the riddle, she was taken with how its prettiness. It's had wings, like a Thanagarian, but Starfire knew that this was supposed to represent an angel to humans. She also knew it was an ornament meant for hanging on the Christmas tree, because of the string it was attached to. It was going to be taken good care of until then.
As Robin was very good with these riddles, she went up to him to confirm her thoughts. "Yesterday I was asked to make a snowman," she began, and held out the tag for him to read. "This time I got an angel for a present and am being asked to lay down in the snow. My secret Santa is not trying to make me an angel, are they?" It would take her a long time to die from cold, and she didn't know if someone who wasn't human could become an angel.
She didn't seem to think this was the case, but it was good to ask. "But I do not see how I can make a snow angel from laying and flailing."
Robin was in the middle of cleaning when Starfire found him. He was setting up the vacuum cleaner in the common room. Beast Boy always shed everywhere and they didn't have a butler to keep up with the group of teenagers. Which, basically, meant that things made it to the point of disgusting before anything actually got done. The Boy Wonder switched off the vacuum and turned towards the alien princess as she held out a tag for him to read.
He regarded it thoughtfully, trying to hold back a laugh at her reaction to the new task, and managed to only let a small grin break through. “You already are one,” the boy mumbled softly, a light blush lighting under his mask before he decided to explain. “No, they're not trying to kill you,” he said lightly. “That's how you make a snow angel, Starfire. I can show you,” he offered. The Titan leader could finish the sweeping later. He abandoned the vacuum to head for the elevator downstairs. At least today they didn't have to worry about the mailman coming.
It didn't take long for him to suit up, gearing up in the same coat as the day before, and they were out in the snow! Robin wandered far enough away from their snowman that he wouldn't be disturbed before halting. “The angel is in the pattern you leave. Watch.” the Boy Wonder explained as he flopped dramatically onto his back and swung out his arms and legs like he was trying to swim through the snow. After a few seconds of that he sat up, and reached out a gloved hand to his friend. “Can you help me up?” he asked. “I don't want to ruin the impression.”

He mumbled something she didn't quite catch, but the important thing was her Secret Santa was not trying to murder her. She didn't really think so; they seemed to know her so well and everything had been lovely to that point, why ruin it with death by snow? He told her there was indeed something called a snow angel and it did involve laying in snow and moving ones arms about. She followed him out and he was kind enough to demonstrate for her.
It reminded her of the 'jumping jacks' except prone. He asked her to help him up and she replied with, "Certainly," and took his hands. She lifted him effortlessly and then glanced down at the impression he left that he had worried about ruining.
It didn't look very obviously an angel. It was like two triangles had met at a torso that also ended in a larger triangle. However, when considering that the angel was perhaps wearing a dress, and the wings were in flight like a hummingbird. "Huh! I see it," she said with the tilt of her head.
She turned around and flopped back on the snow with her arms spread. What she hadn't expected was that it felt good, moving snow around her body. She could feel how she was making the shape. Snow was getting into her shirt and skirt which provided some interesting sensations that made her laugh. "Ah!" she squealed and nearly ruined her angel with some squirming.
Slowly she floated back up and looked down. It was a larger, if slightly messier angel compared to Robin's. "I think, perhaps, I should consider wearing the winter apparel," she said as she shook snow out of her skirt.
Day 6 Today's gift was the largest of all the gifts he had given to Starfire. It was so large that there wasn't much use in wrapping it. He'd hidden the bobsled in the garage, opting to pick it up yesterday then have it delivered and chance her seeing it, and now he pulled the small vehicle out to take his letter to it and to tie a brightly colored ribbon with her name on one of the skids. He left it in a clear space in the garage, lined up with his motorcycle and Cy's car, before rushing back upstairs not so inconspicuously.
On the sixth day of Christmas

Take it to the top of a hill When there has been some snow Once at the top then sit on it And downhill you will go

Starfire and Cyborg were going to go pick up a tree, so it was then she found the sled in the garage. They took it with them and Cyborg helped her pick out a great hill in the city to do it. They knew it was the one since it was packed with tons of kids. They climbed up easily and their presence added more volume to the clamour of excited children. He would give her a might push and she'd go zooming down. The other kids on the hill wanted some of that robotic pushing power too, so they ended up staying longer than intended.
They ended up returning to the tower sometime in the evening instead of around the afternoon like they were supposed to. Hauling the massive tree in with Cyborg, she was excited to tell Robin all about it as the two heavy-lifters on the team worked to set up the tree in its stand and put it in the perfect spot. When it came time for decorating, she made sure to bring her previous day's gift and put it somewhere front and centre where it may show off. It was certainly one of the nicer gifts among their eclectic mix. It also so happened to have a yellow light bulb behind its head like a little halo.
Day 7 Robin had missed the Christmas adventure yesterday. Maybe he was a little bitter about it. He'd done some brooding the night before, and now he felt a little better about it. Or, really, he felt better because he'd come up with another idea. The Boy Wonder grinned deviously as he packed the box, waiting until he was back in the lobby to cover it with the plain wrapping paper and the bow. He then hurried to take his package upstairs and hid it inside the freezer.
It was ridiculously early. The sun hadn't even thought about rising yet, but he could hear the birds singing in the dark blue of early morning. Robin glanced around to make sure none of the other Titans were around to notice him hiding the package. The freezer wasn't simply a hiding place this time, because inside the box, sat three perfect snowballs. The note read:
On the seventh day of Christmas
your Secret Santa gives to thee~
Throw these at a friend as a Christmas surprise. They'll enjoy it more if they don't see it coming.
With Christmas cheer,
Your Secret Santa
His Christmas gift hidden away Robin went up to watch the sunrise on the roof. He still had to come up with ways to convince Starfire to open the freezer as if it was her idea, and he hoped that Cyborg and Beast Boy would be playing the game he'd left running in the common room. It might have been a setup. Beast Boy wasn't the only one in the house that could prank.

Starfire was conflicted.
She had spent the morning looking for her daily present. There were only five days left and she did not want to miss one after finding seven lovely gifts. That was why, despite usually not needing to open the freezer, she peaked inside. As usual she was very excited to have found it, and like the other seven would have followed the instructions right away...until she actually read them.
Oh.
Her Santa wanted her to... throw snow at her friends?
It was devious. A sneak attack. Would they mind? Should she do it? She thought that Christmas time was about doing nice things. Except, there was a part of her that was really tempted. It was like a prank, and perhaps this was one of those human traditions associated with the holiday. There was no one in the common room yet and she knew if she carried the box around in their heated tower, then they would melt.
She closed the freezer and decided that if she was going to go through with it, then it would be at an opportune time. It would be an easier decision to make if she hadn't given Beast Boy such a hard time for something he had done similarly.
She liked to do her thinking out in the fresh air, and it was always important to spend some time out under the sun when her energy was so dependant on it. She went up to the roof to find Robin there watching as the sun finished rising above the horizon.
"Are you not cold?" she asked as she approached from the rooftop entrance. "The window view did not suffice?" she added with a cheeky grin.
Robin turned when he heard her voice, his eyes lingering on the sunrise over the city for just a second more before tearing off to catch on her. "Starfire," he greeted. "Morning." She'd asked if he was cold, and he could honestly say he hadn't felt it until he was reminded about it. The skin between his gloves and his tunic bristled with goose pimples, but he wasn't shivering. "I'm fine," he replied quickly. "I haven't been out here too long." he glanced again behind him. The city was incredibly bright now, as the lights that illuminated it at night stayed lit with the sun, for just a few moments.
He turned back towards her with a smile, and responded to her cheeky statement with his own. "Up here to see if Santa left anything?" he teased.

Starfire smiled sheepishly at the mention of her secret Santa. "Ah, no,"she said, with the tone that she was leaving something out. Lying and omissions of the truth were not really her strong suit. So of course, she turned to the real reason why she was outside. She spread her hands out and took in a deep breath so that the crisp air awakened her senses. "I came for the sun," she said and dropped her arms.
She regarded him thoughtfully for a moment then said, "Someone has left on the tv and games. I do not think Cyborg and Beastboy are up at this hour, but I did not want to do the messing of their score." The last time she thought to turn off the TV to conserve power with the menu on, she had been met with many groans of unhappiness. "Would you mind looking at it when you go down? If it is not out of the way for you... Have you eaten yet? Do you have work to do this morning? Do you need any help?"
Robin's masked eyes narrowed at Starfire's response but he nodded in understanding when she confessed she was here for the sunshine. They were silent for a moment, and he enjoyed the warmth of the sunshine too, until she spoke up again. She'd noticed his trap. A ghost of a smile slid across Robin's face. Then he was inundated by questions.
"I think the only one who can get away with deleting their scores accidentally without retribution is Raven," he said, half joking, and half completely serious. It was hard to find things scarier than a grumpy Raven. "But I'll look at it. Sure." he agreed easily. "I don't have much to do," he added with a shrug, letting her know that he had work, but not really enough to bother parceling out. "Mostly paperwork and scanning the radio frequencies to make sure no one has the brilliant idea of ruining Christmas." he elaborated.
Starfire nodded enthusiastically when he mentioned Raven's ire. Why yes, precisely! It was best to avoid angering her--they all understood that... Though, getting anyone angry of this bunch, truly angry, was a scary affair. Then, suddenly looking startled at his inquiry, she quickly shook her head. "No! I am very much enjoying this ah--vacation!" she said, waving her hands to dismiss the notion she was not. Had she given that impression? She bit her lower lip than wandered around, putting her hands to his shoulders to give them a massage. "I just know how hard you work and want to make sure you're not being neglected~ You've been so good to me this season..."
She leaned in as she said this, her voice dropping in tone and going soft. Winter wind wisped through thier hair...
...and then she began to push him toward the door. "Well! I will not keep you! I will join you shortly--do not worry about me, ahaha! I'll see you soooooon~"
and then she closed the door in front of him, leaning against it and letting out a mushroom sigh. Oof! This one was harder than the rest... She just hoped it would all go smoothly.
One of Robin's mask corners quirked in response to her rapid hand movement. He watched her for a moment, baffled as she wandered around behind him, and then tensing involuntary at the touch on his shoulders. He let himself relax, sort of, when the Boy Wonder realized what she was doing. Her touch was warm, and it felt good. Then she leaned in as though to whisper in his ear.
The Teenage Thunderbolt's face turned a brilliant shade of red, almost outdoing his uniform shirt, before he was suddenly being propelled towards the door. His masked eyes widened comically as his heels left rubber screech marks in their wake and he was shoved into the stairwell too stunned to manage more than an "Ahk," as he slipped down a stair and landed on his butt as the door behind him slammed.
"Oookay," the Titan leader brushed himself off and got to his feet. He made it the rest of the way down the stairs without further incident and wandered off for his early morning workout in the gym. He would be there for a few hours, before he'd go clean up, and then get some breakfast and start on his paperwork.

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
