Later, when Cyborg and BB had settled in to play videogames and Robin was at the computer hard at work, Starfire made her move. The doors opened with their usual shush, but when Cyborg looked back there was no one there. That happened sometime with motion sensors, so he just shrugged and went back to kicking green butt. Actualy, Starfire ha d made a mad dash in and behind the counters of the kitchen that was fascilitated by flight. She peeked over when she thought it was safe, and ducked back down.
It seemed that they were not looking her way anymore. "Please do not be mad at me please do not be..." she whispered to herself inaudibly as she crawled from counter to fridge. She creeped up, trying to remain stealthy, as she slooowly opened the freezer and pulled out the box. She closed it and ducked back down again.
There were three snowballs. There were three boys. As Robin had put it, making Raven mad was risky business, so if she was omitted it left the three of them. Now, out of the three Robin had the fastest reflexes. He was also farther removed from the other two. So, she decided, he would have to go first.
Starfire crawled to peek around the corner, closed one eye with her tongue peeking out of the corner, and lined up the shot. She had plenty of experience aiming from great distances. The first snowball flew.
When it impacted, Cyborg startled looked over to Robin, looked at the snow, and began laughing--but it was interrupted by another that hit him square in the back of his neck, and a third that hit Beast Boy similarly.
"Wha--" he looked over behind the couch, and Starfire popped up from behind the counters with a sheepish smile.
"Happy Holidays!"
He blinked at her--first, because he couldn't believe it was her, and second, "Where did you get snow from? It's warm in here!"
She bit her lip and held up the present in front of her face. "Secret Santa...?"
"You've got a sneaky one," Cyborg said with a grin as he dusted snow from his head. "But all good deeds can't go unpunished. Com'ere, you~"
"Eeee!"
