Characters:Sarah Vyers, Open
Setting:Night, day before Christmas
Previous Threads:Misfortune Teller
Plot Summary:Christmas is the most hopeful day of the year for Sarah, for reasons a bit different than normal people. Having run away from her family however... it seems as if the teen will spend this year's day of hope alone... or will she?
Christmas Eve.... the day before that most special of holidays. For Sarah it was not a day of exchanging gifts, nor was it a das for making snowmen and rolling around in the cold. For Sarah it had always been the one day of the year her and her siblings were given a single day of freedom. One day to play, one day to joke around just... talk to each other freely. It was the one day they could truly be themselves...
But not anymore, not for her.
She couldn't go back, she knew that. But knowing that didn't stop the pain she felt in her chest. Sarah and her siblings were human weapons. Their purpose in life was to do as their parents directed. In exchange for that obedience they were promised that one day of the year... a day Sarah had always looked forward to. But now... she had given all of that up, everything-and what did she have to show for it? Nothing. Nothing but a endless void sadness inside her on the eve of the day most special to her.
The red head curled up in the alleyway, Arms holding her knees close to her body. She didn't dare seek Irka out for comfort. One she Sarah by no means deserved it, She had brought this result on herself in pursuit of her dream. The second, and much more important part was that Irka was probably to busy with her alien conquering/sweet dominating for Sarah's loneliness to be of import, which made perfect sense honestly, who should care about a defective tool anyway? Not logical in the least.
Despite that... she still kinda held onto a weak hope that she or her siblings would show... even if the siblings goal would just be to drag her back, or Irka to berate her stupidity-at least she would have them, No matter the form.
Because no matter how she reasoned, no matter how she tried to convince herself and no matter what she tried to explain away.... she didn't want to be alone when the sun came back up.
She didn't want to be alone on her most hopeful day of the year.
