Characters:Feathers as Silverwing, Gaunt as Slobo Setting: Before Silverwing and Slobo join the Teen Titans Previous Threads: Plot Summary: This is the story of Kimber Lee Fowl aided the escape of an alien, name 24601. A cloning experiement. Created by her grandfather, Arthur Long. To be sure as a weapon of war. And what happen next?
Midnight at Star City. Sirens awoke the quiet night. Echoing throughout the city by 911 services. All rushing towards a well-known commercial building in Star City, Solar Dragon Enterprise. That was on fire. That building belongs to tycoon millionaire businessman, Arthur Long.
Watching the building burn and destroy from afar was Silverwing, the silver witch. The culprit who set her own grandfather building up in blazes. That’s right. Her alter ego was Kimber Lee Fowl. The granddaughter to Arthur Long and heiress to Solar Dragon Enterprise. Watching flame destroy her grandfather building. Guilt took a bite to her heart and soul. Overwhelming her with never-ending distraught and guilt.
We're all blind to what we do and don't want to believe.
All night. That damn philosophy had been bugging conscience. Over and over again. She kept telling herself. “I believe…” And that she was doing a good thing and not a sin. Burning the building. The only opinion to cover her tracks and serve as a distraction. So, she could rescue ‘him’.
Yes, him.
Turning towards behind her. She heard a low growl. Reaching down. She opens a figure wrapped up in blanket. Revealing a grey skin teenager boy who wasn’t much older than herself. His name was 24601. An alien and a clone from Lobo. An outsider, an alien from out space and the nemesis of superman. Cloned to be a weapon and soldier for war.
She discovered him (24601) a few weeks back. Cage and chain up behind bars. Like a wild animal. He was her grandfather pet project. A pet project that finally became true afters years and years of investing. Investing resource and money for almost half his life. And one day, it will be hers to succeed and inherit. Out of everything. This was the last thing, she'd expected from him. Inheriting a fortune that was stain by blood.
“It’s okay…” She stroke the side of his face. “You’re safe now…” Comforting him with her gentle words. Reassuring him before he falls back asleep. Poor thing was drugs. Give a heavy dosage. After, he tires and attempt to escape. Breaking out from his hell-hole and took her hostage. His action doesn’t justify him as a monster. He was just a scare teenage boy who wants to live. She could still remember clearly. His shaking hands when he held the broken glass to her neck. She knew he didn’t want to hurt her. Nor does he has the heart too. And his voice, he sounded so scared and alone. His action that day left a powerful imprint on her. That she had to do. Even if it means going against her grandfather.
With the help of magic, she carries him and swung him on her back. Taking him to a safe house. A safe place to lay low until then. She knew her grandfather too well. He would flip Star City upside down to hunt them and make them pay.
The last few days had been a blur, ever since his last escape attempt. 24601 had tried to get out before, but The Old Man had never reacted this severely to it. It seemed like he'd seriously miscalculated. He'd tried taking the girl hostage because The Old Man seemed to like her. He figured she'd be a good bargaining chip. Hostage-taking and human shields were part of his training, it should have gone off without a hitch. The only problem was that he hadn't considered the people who taught him to take hostages would have a plan in place if he actually did it. Rookie mistake. He felt kind of bad, too. The girl seemed nice.
Ever since then, the hybrid had been in a sedated haze. It was a weakness of his biology. For all his resilience, he was just as prone to sedation as any human. He didn't know if it was a natural Czarnian trait, a result of his human DNA, or a deliberate failsafe the company put in to keep him in check. Either way, it was a real pain. He wasn't sure what was going on the whole time, everything was just a haze. Had he moved? He was pretty sure he'd seen movement. Lots of movement, like he was being carried.
When he woke, he saw that he was right. He was in an unfamiliar place, a comfy-looking room with no chains or concrete. And he was dressed differently, his convict-like jumpsuit replaced with jeans and a tank top. His yellow eyes scanned the room, looking for company. He couldn't have gotten here under his own power. The hybrid stood, his legs still a little shaky. Nobody was in the room, but he thought he sensed someone in the next room. He approached the door, hearing water running behind it. 24601 opened the door, looking inside. "Hello?"
Kimber Lee Fowl lay naked in the bathtub. Soaking in the bathtub while she lets the hot water shower. Wash over her. Helping her relax after a long week. After rescuing 24601, she took him to a safe house. An apartment she rented without her grandfather knowing. A hideaway where she could train in secret. Practice and study her magic without his knowledge. A place where she can be alone and be herself as SiIlverwing
That last couple days had been stressful for her. There was no doubt. That her grandfather would be on the hunt for the perpetrator. The arson who burned down and destroy his multi-million dollar corporate building and his secret lab. Along stolen his one and only successful test subject, 24601. And that perpetrator was her. His own granddaughter. Knowing her old man well. By now, he would had flipped half of Star City by now. And it was a matter of time he finds her. Dear xhal! She prays he never finds her or find out. Just give up the search and move on with his damn life.
Putting the edge and stress on her shoulder. Deprived of sleep. Not that she could get a single wink of sleep. The silver hair witch was on constant watch and ready for anything. As pre-caution, she casts protective spells around the apartment. Even, installing good old security alarm if all else fail. But with two days straight without sleep. She beginning to wear out. Becoming jumping and paranoid. There was a moment, she swore. She probably hallucinated a second or two.
In order to stay awake and sane, she soaks herself in the water. That was until....a boy walk into the bathroom. Without a knock or even a fair warning!
"ARGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" She screamed the top of her lungs. "GET OUT!!!!" Grabbing the shower curtain for dear life on one hand. While throwing random toiletries at the idiotic alien boy. "ARE F#$&%*& SERIOUSLY KIDDING ME?! GET OUT!!!!!!!!" Did she mention? That she also soundproof the place with magic and technology.
24601 saw a familiar face in the shower. It was that girl he'd tried to hold hostage before! What was she doing here? Thinking back, 24601 remembered hallucinating an angel who kind of looked like her, but with silver hair. Maybe it wasn't entirely a hallucination, maybe she was the one who'd rescued him. It made a kind of sense, he'd gotten a good feeling about her.
Then she saw him and freaked out for some reason. The Czarnian had to duck and dodge a barrage of soap and plastic bottles as he backed out of the room, closing the door behind him. "I'll just wait out here then." What was she so upset about? He'd just said hello. Hell, she'd been the one who brought him here! Humans were kind of weird. He'd have to ask her about that later, she hadn't been in a very explainy mood when she'd been pelting him with whatever was in reach.
The hybrid sat beside the door, pondering. Now that he had time to think, he'd probably need the shower next. She'd changed his clothes, but he'd still been lying in bed for probably a couple days without having the opportunity to properly clean up. He'd need to take care of that as soon as possible. Well, no sense wasting time. Once she was done, he'd take his shower turn. 24601 started to get undressed so he'd be ready.
Silverwing cannot believe. What just happen? Not only did the hybrid walk in on her in the shower. Half naked. She exits the bathroom to see him. Sitting next to the bathroom door naked himself. You can imagine. What came next? Here's a hint. A hell a lot of screaming and freaking out. She never felt so humiliated and shock in her hold life I mean. Talk about a rude awakening. Your're probably asking. Why he did what he did? He reply was. He wanted to take a shower too. At that very moment, she wasn't even sure if she wanted to punch him or just find that adorable. It was kinda conflicting.
Back in her room while blowing her hair dry. She tries to calm herself down. That whole experience gave too much excitement and anger in so many ways. She wasn't sure how to handle them. If you get what she means? -wink- But a part of her sympathize with the poor hybrid. According to his records, he was only taught the necessity of what a soldier should know nd that it. Gender boundaries and other humanity stuff. Wasn't part of his program. But...even so, scientist notices that he dare not take a life. Even they try to drill him into it. He just couldn't do it. Remembering clearly when she first saw him. There was a look in his eyes. Pleading for help. How he hesitated? When he puts the broken glass to her neck? He was more human that an alien if you ask her. The scientist thinks so too. Labeling him a defective clone. Grown to have more human emotion that he was original clone to be. Their solution. Brainwashing him. Good thing. She got him out before it was too late.
Sigh. Maybe she should cut him some slack and apologize to him. Exiting her room and walking down the hall to the bathroom. She tries to work some sentence. Poor girl couldn't come up with anything. Except, he been inside there for quite a while now. Wonder if he needs help...in the shower? Okay, that just came out wrong. Shaking her head. Just as she was about to knock the door. The security alarm broke out. As she was about to panic, she felt a sharp pain on her neck. Reaching for it. It was a dart. With just a snap, she started to feel lightheaded and collapsed. She tries calling out the hybrid but was too drowsy to even call out his name.

There she'd gone freaking out again. He had no idea why she kept doing that. He'd explained he needed a shower, but she didn't seem to care all that much. She was just still panicking. Slobo stepped into the shower, trying to clear his head. He wasn't in a great situation right now. He was out of the lab, sure, but his only contact on the outside world screamed most of the times she saw him for reasons he couldn't quite grasp. There was no guarantee she'd be reliable.
That was all shelved when he sensed danger approaching. His combat senses were kicking in, identifying multiple attackers. Body armor, and... tranq guns. Crap. It had to be the company, they knew his weaknesses and were planning to exploit them. His rescuer fell first, hit by one of the darts. Slobo waited until one of the attackers was right outside the bathroom door before acting. He kicked the door open, flinging the man across the room. Just as the man hit the wall Slobo was on him, slamming him into it again. The other attackers opened fire and Slobo turned, holding up the guard as a shield as he charged. He didn't want to mess them up to bad, but he had to take care of them. Slobo backhanded one down the hall, kicking the other back through the opposite wall and into an empty room.
Slobo looked over the attackers. They didn't have too much time before more came, and he needed some cover. One was about his size, and their armor seemed to have protected him from the darts. That would come in handy. Slobo changed as quickly as he could, slinging the silver-haired girl over his shoulder and taking up a dart gun with his free hand. He made a mad dash for safety, ready for any further danger.
Silverwing sat right up when she awoke. Looking around her environment. She jumped to her feet. Panicking at her unfamiliar environment. Pacing to calm herself down. She looks out a small window to investigate and find herself in a...scarpyard. Questions started to pile up. Wondering. How did she get here? What happen? How long was she out? What day was it? Was she been kidnap? As Silverwing or Kimber Lee Fowl? Or both? Having more question that answer. It caused her anxiety kicks. Almost sending her into an anxiety attack. " "NO!" She told herself. Forcing herself to calm down. "Inhale and exhale. Breathe in and out...." She continued to tell herself. Slowing calming her nerve down to logical state. Enough to analyze her situation to come up with a solution. "First, recall. What happen?" Clearly, her mind. Everything was a blur to her. Until she recalls one key memory."That right. The invasion...." She exclaims in her Eureka moment.
Sadly. She can't remember much. What happen during the invasion? But she remembers feeling helpless. Unable to defend herself and barely able to stay awake. Overwhelm. Feeling tired and sleepy altogether. Despite, all of that. There was a voice. A voice whispering her to stay awake the best she could. A person shouldering out to safety. Blacking out for good when they were out of harms way.
"Then, what happen?" She asked. Only to tense up. Spotting a hand. Reaching out to her from the corner of her eyes. Quickly. She grabs the hand and throws the mysterious figure to the floor. Locking and use her body to nail his arm behind his back. "Who are you?" She shouted at the masked stranger.
Slobo wasn't sure where to go. He looked suspicious to begin with, a masked figure in body armor carrying a teenage girl. He had to use his strength to jump from roof to roof, carefully cradling her neck so she wouldn't be injured by the sudden motions. Finally he settled on a scrapyard. It was secluded, had lots of places to hide, and didn't smell too bad. Just the ever-present scent of metal and motor oil. It smelled homey to him, like he belonged.
It was a little bit before his savior woke up. In all the excitement of the night, Slobo had forgotten to take off his mask. While his back was turned she got the drop on him, pulling his arm behind him and pinning him to the floor. Or at least trying, he was still half-Czarnian. Slobo stood up easily, straightening out his arm. The heroine was pretty strong and skilled, but not enough to overpower someone who could toss a car.
Slobo pulled off his mask, turning to face her. "Don't worry, it's me. I had to disguise to get us out of there, the building was swarming with goons. Know anywhere we can lay low? This place might not be too comfy for you." Slobo wasn't too concerned about his own comfort. He was used to uncomfortable lodgings, this at least wasn't confining.
"Why did you save me?" Silverwing asked as she turns away from him. She couldn't take it anymore. "You should leave me there and run away. You don't own me anything...." The guilty. That was weighing her down and swallowing her whole. The sin that slowly killing her inside and driving her insane. There were times, her thoughts took a dark turn and it suggested her. Taking her own life.
"I can't take it anymore. You need to know the truth..." As the saying goes. She hopes. The truth would set her free from the burden and the lies. Touching her sapphire choker. Her appearance began to change to her alter ego. Kimber Lee Fowl. "That right. I'm the girl whom you took hostage. I'm the granddaughter of your most hated enemies. The monster who created you. The monster who finance his scientist to put you through hell with their experiments. The monster who pulled the trigger when your sibling fails to fulfill their true purpose...." The truth she had learn from a folder. A folder containing a details record of 24601 life. Born in a tube and grown into a teenager in a few weeks. How he was the only successful clone? Who didn't turn into a mindless raging beast? or killed himself?
Whose only flaw was his human-like emotion?
"You should have left me there when you had the chance. And claim your revenge for yourself and your brothers..."

He was a bit confused by her question. "Well, you saved me first." It was kind of a lame response, but all he could think of at the moment. She'd been nice to him, it was only fair he returned the favor. Besides, he didn't like the idea of leaving someone behind to be captured or killed. That was how they'd wanted to program him, and he was going to fight that conditioning with everything he had.
He fell silent as she explained her role in all this. It wasn't actually a surprise to him, he'd seen the resemblance when he'd first walked in on her in the shower. Still, for her it seemed to be a big deal. He was silent for a moment when she stopped speaking, letting her get it out of her system. Finally, he spoke up.
"So?"
Slobo was trying his best to play the cool guy, hiding his emotions. "Look, you didn't know about the lab there, and as soon as you found out you came to rescue me. That makes you one of the good guys in my book. I don't wanna hear anything else about leaving you to rot or punishing you, okay?" He put a hand on her shoulder, his yellow eyes looking into hers.
Silverwing pushes his hand aside. He's really an idiot. How could he be that stupid? Stupid enough to believe her. That she was his saviour and friend. She couldn't accept. She can't. He should kill her when she told the truth. Why did he hold back? Just he saying it was okay. Just weighed the load on her shoulder. Causing conflict with her heart and moral compass. He deserves better than this. A better life and a better friend.
"I'm sorry..." She grabs something from her pocket. A thumb drive. Containing all details of the experiment. 24601 life story. Birth from a test tube to who he was today. His strength and flaws. Including all the fail experiment. His brother who die in vain. Taking his hand. Put the thumb drive in his hand. Without a word, she exits the little sheds. Never turning back to look at him. Ever when he try calling out to her to stop. She dares look back as she was crying. Tears dripping down her face. Running to the exit and jumping on her silver disk. Flying away into the night.
And that was the last time she saw him or even spoke to him.
"How can you forgive that easily?" She mumbles to herself

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
