Characters: Starfire, Drössel Setting: early afternoon, Titan living room Previous Threads: Sick bird, Ratatouille meets Wall-E Plot Summary: Drössel is having trouble on her laptop.
Thump, thump, thump. The muffled sound of heavy metal against carpet was echoing through the Titan living room. Thump, thump. A little white robot was trampling in circles, head facing down and a laptop under her shoulder. Thump, thump, thump. Every few steps Medic would stop to lift both the laptop and her head. Opening the laptop, she would glance at its screen before shaking her head again. Then both the laptop and her head would lower as she went back to trampling in circles.
Should I do it? The question sank into her core, but no response came out. The question felt like quicksand, bringing up more paralyzing interrogations. What if I can't do it? What if I fail?Thump, thump, thump.I'm not meant to do it. But what if I manage to do it? The little robot opened up the laptop again. She read the words on the screen silently. No-one else was there that she could communicate with. Maybe I should leave this to the other team members? Or maybe a human could help the robot out of her conundrum.
Drössel Fünf considered for a moment emailing her creator for help. It was a tempting notion. But for all its knowledge, she doubted any consensus would form on the vexing question. Maybe I should just tag the Namer. Of all the ais, Fünf's relationship was strongest with the Namer. But he'd be disappointed. No, Drössel had to figure this out herself.
Which meant asking patients Robin or Cyborg for help.
With that thought in mind, Drössel stepped towards the main exit to the living room. She was about to press the button to open the door when it unexpectedly opened before her. Her scanners immediately cycled through red, orange and white as she took in the person in front of her.

The common room was such a place that one didn't really need a reason to be there; it was the penultimate hang-out spot of the T-Tower. It was the default place to go when returning home, especially if there was a desire for company. Starfire returned home from her patrol and through no break in routine, floated down the hallway toward the large double doors at the end. It wasn't the first time, in such a high-traffic part of the tower, that she found herself almost bumping into someone just as the doors opened. Her green eyes still widened in surprise, but she quickly fell to ease with a smile. "Oh, hello! Were you just leaving?" she asked pleasantly. Out of courtesy, she stepped to the side, willing to allow her to go first. Unfortunately, Starfire couldn't gauge the mechanical medic's emotional state, or she would have approached the situation with more concern.

Drössel paused for a moment. She recognized Starfire, the alien Titan with tremendous strength and a host of other impressive abilities. The robot's most admired one was Star's ability to instantly smile with a radiance that even the little robot could feel.
@{Friendly Starfire} I was. But your dopamine levels are contagious.
Drössel's iris turned blue again. With them, her mood saddened. Her head dropped down. She looked at her laptop, tucked under her mechanical shoulder. Then the telepath raised her head and sent the message:
@{Friendly Starfire} Perhaps you can help me. I am facing a very difficult task. One may say impossible for me to complete.
The little robot lifted her left fist in defiance, but quickly dropped it. Her head descended in sync. The robot, suddenly very meek, took a step back and to the side, mirroring Starfire's earlier move.
@{Friendly Starfire} I am not sure if you will be able to complete the task either. I fear only Titan Robin, Cyborg or Beast Boy may be allowed.
Raven was an elusive character. Drössel was curious to learn whether the magic user was human according to her core. Meeting a human with potential mind-reading abilities was also something new to the robot. She wondered if her privacy defenses would be sufficient during such an encounter. In response to the thought, Drössel's core put another layer of encryption over the medical records of her patients. At this point she had an encryption key for every patient in her memory.
Starfire smile managed to brighten even more when Drössel mentioned her contagious good mood, but the infection barely lasted. The robot drooped sadly and so did Star's smile with it. "What is wrong?" she asked with genuine concern. The well-intentioned didn't quite get her answer, but she was determined to help. Unfortunately, the robotic princess didn't think she could, listing the three boys that made up the core team instead.
"I do not think they are here," Starfire said regretfully. "But I would be willing to try!"
Her hand clenched with conviction. "It is the least I can do while you wait for them to return." The hand turned to a gesture to the door. "Unless you have somewhere else you would prefer to be, shall we go to the common room together?"

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
