So you may have noticed some changes—or maybe not, they did take forever to implement. The same reason we're making changes to the site is the same reason it has been delayed for so long; we the staff are not as active as we'd like to be. In the past when we've made changes it was generally adding more policies, more rules, to try and moderate the quality of roleplay and our vision for the site. That was fine, and it reflected our evolving ideas, but they also required more work; more oversight. Now we're heading in an entirely different direction. We're putting more control back into the hands of the community. Teen Titans Go Guild is becoming more of an open sandbox roleplay.
If you're not sure what a sandbox roleplay is, you can read about it here on the about page.
To be more specific on the changes, we've updated our rules. Our policy on respect, banned characters, and banned themes still stand, but we've removed a majority of our old policies. You may notice there is no longer a specific activity requirement or a limit to the characters. We'll only periodically clear out inactive account or intervene on a case-by-case situation if anyone is caught hogging characters without really using them.
Speaking of character accounts, we've decided to phase out alters and ask that new accounts are created per character, using the alias (or first and last name) as a username. As said above, we will occasionally clear inactive accounts so canon usernames will be cleared up for use.
We've also modified our app. It's a lot simpler, and as you may have also noticed from the rules, we've taken out the whole review process. Essentially, all characters are accepted unless the app contains banned material. Please update your characters to the new template as seen here.
Feel free to ask the staff any questions. We'll do our best to get to you in a prompt manner. Thank you so much to those of you who stuck by us. Despite our lack of presence on the site, none of us want to see it closed. This is our way of trying to keep it open and fair for all of you.
